"Just looks like a wine glass." Clary says looking up to Jace. I look at them in disgust. The Cup looked like I imagined it. Not too small but not too big. Perfect. That...that sounds wrong.

"That wine glass saved your ass." He tells her with a look. Clary had the cup in her hand in between them. Liv had the tarot card in the box Dot gave her. 

"What if... what if I hadn't gotten the Cup out in time?" Clary asks. I chuckle.

"You would have died. If only you did, it would save me headaches." I say walking down the stairs but get stopped when Izzy pulled me back making me stumble. Jace gives me a look. I flick him off. I used to tolerate him but now, hell no.

"But you did" He reinsures her, trying to get her attention off of me. "First rule of Shadowhunting... when something explodes, just keep walking. Never think twice. Never look away." Jace tells her. That's stupid.

"If I were them I would run." I say to Izzy. She shakes her head. "I'm about to explode and not glitter."

"Shush, you." She says trying not to smile. I give her a sarcastic smile.

"And what's the second rule?" Clary asks him trying to flirt. I think. She flirts so bad I can't even tell if it's flirting or curiosity.

"Don't be a hoe. Guess you two have already broken it tho." I say out loud, so they can hear me clearly. Izzy was still holding so I wouldn't go beat the living crap out of them. I could just burn them. Izzy lets go of me and snatches the cup with her whip.

"There's nothing a Shadowhunter can't do in heels." Izzy says walking down the stairs. I nod.

"They're good for planning a murder." I tell Clary as I smirk. She gives me a death glare.

"You don't scare me." She says puffing up her chest. I act scared.

"When you wake up surrounded by fire, just know it was me." I tell her as I pass by her bumping our shoulders.

"Alec. What are you doing?" I hear a few feet away. Izzy gives Clary the Cup making me roll my eyes.

"You can stare at the monitor all you want, they need angel blood to get past the wards. You know that." Jace says to Alec, who was looking at the monitor. Clary puts the cup back into the card. I sneeze.

"Seems I'm allergic to Clary." I say to Izzy as she stands next to me. She laughs lightly.

"No Downworlder can come into the Institute." Jace reinsures Alec. Alec still doesn't look at him.

"Not without an invite by a Shadowhunter." Izzy inputs. I laugh and go next to Alec.

"You guys should invite Magnus more often." I say. Alec looks at me and smiles then looks away.

"Last I checked Valentine is a Shadowhunter. The Cup is not safe here. We have to give it back to the Clave." He says turning around with his arms crossed. I chuckle as I look at them. Izzy raises an eyebrow at me.

"What?" I mouth. She shakes her head amusingly. She makes a heart with her fingers and points to me and Alec. I had my hand in his. I blush and look away.

"Give it back to the Clave? No. Not after everything we went to get it." Clary says angrily to Alec. I raise an eyebrow at her.

"My brother is right. The Cup is extremely important." Izzy reminds her. Clary sighs making me smirk. That's right.

"Are you agreeing with me?" Alec says to Izzy, looking at her blankly. Sibling goals. You can literally tell their siblings by their expressions.

"I'm full of surprises." She says smiling a little. I frown. Izzys acting differently now that her mom is here. 

"This Cup is the only chance I have at getting my mom back." Clary says making me groan. Again.

"This Cup is the only chance I have at getting my mom back." I mimic her. "I have a migraine. just looking at her" I mumble as I rub my head.

"I agree with her." Jace says making burst out laughing.

"See, you get it now." I say to him. He gives me a glare.

"Not you. We can't give the Cup to the Calve, not now. We need it. It's our only bargaining chip." Jace says. It's always about Clary. Geez.

"Of course, you're agreeing with Clary. It's all about little miss perfect." I say glaring at him. 

"What is your problem with me?" He asks confused. I laugh out loud. This man.

"Because you're a man whore. That's why. Alec hold me before I give him a chipped tooth and before do something I'll never regret." I say. Alec puts me behind him. "All see is ass now." I smirk. I can hear him chuckle.

"Look, Ariel, do you know how powerful this Cup is? Because I know how powerful this Cup is. It has the power to create new Shadowhunters and control demons and even kill a mundane if they drink from it." She explains. I look at her blankly.

"Oh. My. God. I don't remember asking. Do you remember me asking because I really don't." I say shrugging. She looks at me frustrated and continues talking.

"I promise, I will not let that monster get his hands on it." She says looking around.

"She is the monster." I mumble. She must of heard me since she's giving me a look.

"There you go. You have her word." Jace says making me laugh.

"Follow me." Alec says to Clary.

"You have her word my ass." I say to him. He glares at me. "If you keep playing with my sister, you won't be able to make or have kids." I say to him daringly.

"You better run." Izzy tells Jace amusingly. 

"I'm not playing with her." Jace tells me as if he didn't kiss her and Clary. I scoff.

"You kissed Clary when you supposedly kissed Liv before. Something doesn't add up" I point out. I'm not stupid.

"Clary is the one who kissed me." He tells me defensively. I look at him with a blank look.

"Right." I say sarcastically.

"How about I show you." He says making me scoot back.

"Hell no." I say looking at him in disgust.

"Not like that." He says rolling his eyes. Suddenly you can hear a beeping. I look turn around and see something is happening on the monitor. Jace passes by me.

"There's something outside the perimeter." Alec says like it's not obvious. "I told you--"

"Don't say it." Jace interrupts him. Clary walks up to us.

"What's happening?" She asks. Izzy sighs.

"Looks like someone's trying to break in." Izzy says. I groan. I just want to take a long warm bath, but no.

"Could be the Circle." Jace suggests.

"Or the square." I say sarcastically.

"Told you so." Alec says making me chuckle. Jesus! What's wrong with me.

"Too soon." Jace sighs. We walk to the entrance of the institute. Clary stayed behind. Wait no, she's running up to us now.

"Great." I say sarcastically. We go outside the institute to see the trespasser. I grumble as we walk. It was so cold, I don't do well with cold. I mean my powers are fire.

"Don't move." Jace says when we see something move.

"Wait is that..." I said squinting my eyes to see better.

"Drop what you're holding. Put your hands up." Alec tells the person. It was Raphael with Simon.

"Look Clary, your besties dead." I say to Clary whos breathing heavily. Even I wasn't breathing hard and I'm wearing heel boots.

"Oh, my god. Simon!" She says running up to Raphael and Simon who was in his arms.

"Cute." I say out loud as I look at Simon and Raphael. Izzy snorts. "Oh, not Clary running. Raphael holding Simon is cute. You've got competition." I bump my shoulders with hers.

"I guess I do." She says sarcastically.
