We go into another room. There's a big circle with drawings. Clary is sat on the floor drawing. "Great, Clary's acting her age." I say sarcastically. Liv chuckles. 

"Jocelyn was right, your artistry is beyond compare." Magnus says. I roll my eyes.

"I don't know about that." Clary says.

"Oh, the only other person I've known who could draw as well was Michelangelo, who was excellent in bed, I might add." Magnus says looking at Alec then to me. Izzy laughs as do I.

Jace looks between us confused. Alec just shrugs while I smirk. Izzy bumps my shoulder. Alec is so oblivious.

"Okay. We're ready. Everyone take your rightful place on the Pentagram." Magnus says. I look down. There's only five and we're seven.

"Well you look at that. Guess me and Liv cant participate." I say pulling Liv with me as she whines. We stay a few feet away.

"We must initiate a bond. Once this bond is sealed, it cannot be broken until the demon retreats. No matter what happens, we must not let go of each other's hands." Magnus says. Magnus puts his hands towards Alec to grab it and he does.

"I ship." I whispered to Liv. They all grab hands. One by one. So dramatic.

"Right." She agrees.

"You people are pathetic." Izzy says. I snort.

"I will lead the ceremony and you all must do exactly as I say. The demons name is Valak." Magnus says.

"Conjuring much." I say. Liv laughs.

"And at some point, he will ask for payment in exchange for Clary's memories." He says.

"Good thing we're not doing this." Liv says to me. I hum in agreement.

"What do you mean? What kind of payment?" Jace asks him.

"We will see. Let us begin." Magnus starts speaking another language.

"The necklace, it's pulsing." Izzy says as the red jewel glows. A black cloud forms in the circle.

"Valak is among us. Do not break the bond." He yells. Me and Liv to the other room and obviously watch from there.

"Hold on!" Jace says to Clary.

"I'm trying." Clary says to him.

"It is time, the demon demands payment." Magnus tells them.

"What does it want?" Alec asks.

"We must each relinquish a beloved memory of the one we love the most." He says as Izzy's memory comes out. It was Alec. Clary's was Jocelyn. James was himself. Bruh, this dude. Wait it was Alec's memory. Aw brotherly love.

"No. It's not true! The demon deceived me!" Alec screams. Never mind.

"Do not break the bond!" Magnus screams at him. And what does he do.

"Alec, it's okay!" Izzy screams at Alec.

"No!" Alec screams.

"Alec!" Jace screams.

"No!" Magnus screams as Alec's stupid, but cute, ass broke the bond.

"I cannot contain the demon much longer!" Magnus says. Alec goes towards it but Jace pushes him.

"Alec you dumbass. What are you doing?" I scream at Alec. The demon takes Jace. Izzy pulls Jace.

"Grab him!" Izzy says to Alec.

"Hold on!" Alec says to Jace.

"The demon is growing stronger!" Magnus says. I grab the glowy sword.

"He's slipping!" I can hear Alec scream.

"Help us." Izzy yells at us.

"Clary, if you kill the demon, your memories will be lost forever!" Magnus says. I give Clary the sword since it's her choice.

"Help us!" Izzy screams. Clary kills the demon making Jace fall face to the ground.

"Jace... oh my god, Jace." Clary says shaking Jace. I go to Alec to see if he's okay.

"Jace, get up." Alec says to Jace.

"Is he gonna be all right?" Clary asks.

"I don't know. Does he normally just lay like that without moving?" Magnus say. I would have laughed but not the moment.

"Probably." Liv says.

"Get up, Jace." Alec says.

"Jace." Clary says.

"I don't think he can hear you. He's dead." I say sarcastically. I slap Jaces cheek hard. He gets up making me back up scarily. "It's alive." I say chuckling and jumping us and down excitedly. He gasps for air.

"The boy who lived is alive." Liv says also excitedly.

"God, Simon is such a bad influence." I say shaking my head.

"He really is."

"I'm alright. I'm alright." He says weakly. And repeats it. "I'm getting my second wind." Jace says. I go next to Alex and I pat him in the back for comfort.

"There's nothing to be ashamed of, Alec." Magnus says to Alec as he walks up to him.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Alec says oblivious or just acting dumb.

"You will." Magnus says walking away. I smirk. Oh, yeah definitely ship.

"Thank god, you're okay. For a second there, I thought we lost you." Clary says to Jace.

"Remind me again, what's the, ugh... what's the count on how many times I saved your life?" Jace chuckles.

"I...I think we're even." Clary says.

"I don't think so." Jace laughs then coughs. Izzy goes to Alec making him walk away. I frown.

I look at my hand as I sit on my bed. Fire surrounds it. It doesn't burn. I'm the one controlling it. "What am I going to do." I whisper to myself.
