STILES WAS ABOUT TO CLOSE HIS LOCKER, HE FELT HIS PHONE BUZZING. He grabbed it from his bag and read the text quickly.
AMELIAI discovered a new link ability and I thinkit's because of the full moon. I'll tell you later
He was about to ask her what new ability when Coach blew the whistle, grabbing his attention. He left the phone in his bag and put it in his locker before walking towards Scott, laying on the bench next to him. He noticed how he was still bummed about the breakup, and Stiles didn't know what to do to make him cheer up.
"Alright, geniuses, listen up," started the Coach and Stiles pat his best friend on the shoulder, making him look up from the floor. "Due to the recent pinkeye epidemic, thank you, Greenberg, the following people have made first line on a probationary basis, emphasis on the word 'probationary'."
Stiles has never been so hopeful inside that locker room.
There was a slight chance he made first line.
"Rodriguez," started calling the Coach and Stiles applauded. "Welcome to first line. Taylor! And... For the love of crap. I can't even read my own handwriting. What is that, an 'S'? No, no, that's not an 'S'." Stiles tensed his fist as he looked at the coach. "That's a... that's a... that's a 'B'. That's definitely a 'B'." Stiles was pissed, and it showed. "Rodriguez, Taylor and Bilinski."
Stiles looked up before standing up, exclaiming excitedly. He made the team! He made first line!
He had always wanted to make first line in the lacrosse team. That and date Amelia Sealgair. Now, he had one of two.
"Bilinski!" Called him the Coach.
"Yes?" He replied excitedly.
"Shut up!" He heard as the players chuckle before replying.
"Yes, sir," he said as he stood up, still smiling.
"Stiles," called him Scott and he quickly turned around.
"It's Biles. Call me Biles or I swear to God, I'll kill you," he threatened Scott before looking to the Coach again. He couldn't wait to tell Amelia.
He imagined her, jumping in excitement, hugging him and telling him how proud she was of him. He imagined him showing Amelia his excellent game and figure and leaving all of those lacrosse players she once dated in the mud.
He couldn't wait.
"Another thing. From here on, immediately, we're switching to co-captains," informed Coach. "Congratulations, McCall."
Stiles turned around to look at Scott, who seemed as surprise as he was.
"What?" Asked Jackson.
"What do you mean, what? Jackson this takes nothing away from you." Stiles pat his best friend on the arm as he was trying to held his laughter, watching Jackson being so angry. "This is about combining separate strengths into one unit. This is about taking your unit, McCalls's unit, we're making one big unit." Coach turned around to look at Scott. "McCall, it's you and Jackson now. Everybody else..." he blew his whistle. "Asses on the field! Asses on the field!"
Stiles was quick to stand up, following Scott towards the exit of the lockers. "Dude," he called him, "can you believe this? You're captain... I'm first line!" Stiles chuckled. "I'm first freaking line!"

"Are you not freaking out?" Stiles asked his best friend. "I'm freaking out."
"What's the point? It's jus a stupid title," he snapped. Scott was in a real bad mood. "And I could practically smell the jealousy in there."
"Wait," Stiles stopped him abruptly, "you smell jealousy?"
"Yeah, it's like the full moon's turned everything up to 10," tried to explain Scott.
Stiles thought about it for a few seconds before asking him something that has been in the back of his mind for a long time.
"Can you pick up on stuff like, I don't know, desire?"
Scott looked at him in confusion. "What do you mean desire?" He asked as he frowned.
"Like sexual desire," pointed Stiles like it was no big deal.
"Sexual desire?" repeated Scott as his eyebrows raised.
"Yeah, sexual desire," confirmed Stiles. "Lust, passion, arousal," he said.
Scott smirked a bit before licking his lower lip. "From Amelia?"
"What?" Busted. "No, in a general, broad sense, can you determine sexual desire?"
The werewolf was trying not to laugh. "From Amelia to you?"
"Fine, yes!" Admitted Stiles, frustrated. "From Amelia to me. Look, she's a girl that is not afraid to climb a roof and jump from a ventilation duct like freaking Tom Cruise. I need to know if I have a chance with this girl, okay? I've been obsessing over her since she first came in kindergarten and asked me if I wanted to play hide-and-seek, do you understand?"
"Why don't you just ask her?" Questioned Scott, knowing perfectly well that if Stiles asked Amelia out she would say yes. He didn't need to be supernaturally linked to her to know that.
"Have you seen her? I'm saving myself utterly crushing humiliation. Thank you, Scott. Okay? So, please, can you just go up and ask if she likes me?" He shrugged abruptly. "See if her heartbeat rises, or pheromones come out."
"Fine," mumbled Scott before walking away.
"I love you," Stiles said. "I love you," he repeated, too excited. "You're my best friend in the whole world."

Scott later found Amelia talking to her lab partner, a tall skinny guy who Scott was sure he was on the lacrosse team, yet he didn't know his name.
"Hey, Amelia," he called her and the girl raise her eyebrows before smiling a bit. "I need to talk to you."
"Okay, sure... Gotta go, Isaac. Hope my notes worked for you." The tall boy nodded before walking away.
Scott drove Amelia towards the coach's office and the girl raised her eyebrows. It was strange. Scott and her had never talked in private, Stiles was always there.
"Is this about the new ability I discovered that I texted Stiles about? Because don't worry, I learned how to control it. It's not even bother mentioning."
She didn't want him to know that she had been reading his mind. He just began to trust her, so she didn't want to take advantage of that.
"No, I just needed to ask you something," he said as he closed the door behind him.
The girl leaned on the desk, looking confused at him. How he was frowning, but not because he was mad, but he looked kinda sad.
"I saw you talking to Allison this morning," he said, and she knew what was bothering him. "Do you know if she still likes me?"
"Of course she still likes you," she replied.
"Really?" He asked, as if he couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"She's just a little mad right now, but she'll always like you. But I think it's okay if you guys remain friends, just for a while at least. She knows you lied, and she thinks you locked her in the lab to, I don't know, offer her as a sacrifice." Amelia chuckled before looking at him. "She didn't see it as a protection, like we know it was. She's not practically... grateful."
It was the only word that came to her mind at the moment.
The guy looked at her seriously, lowing his voice a bit. "Are you grateful?" He asked her and she chuckled.
"From you not killing me. You could say so... is everything okay, Scott?"
But she had been interrupted by Scott, leaning in to kiss her. The girl quickly avoided him, moving her head to the side as she watched him trip.
"Woah!" She exclaimed. "Slow down your horses, Scott."
"You said you were grateful."
"Not 'Oh, baby, oh, baby' grateful!" She snapped back. "You like Allison! And I... don't like you, so.. don't try to kiss me again, okay?"
Scott stared at her for a few seconds, watching her leave the office in a hurry.
What on Earth did just happen?

Amelia sat down on the bleachers, looking towards the lacrosse field.
She couldn't believe Scott tried to kiss her. Why would he do that? What was he even thinking?
If she hadn't decided to respect Scott's privacy and not read his thoughts, she would've had an answer for that question.
She saw as everyone got together on the field, watching over Danny who had just been pushed by Scott, breaking his nose. The girl slowly got down the bleachers and joined Lydia as she got in between the players to look at what happened.
"Is he gonna be okay?" Asked Amelia to Jackson and he shrugged.
"Hey, your lipstick," pointed the lacrosse co-captain, confusing Amelia. Lydia lent her her pocket mirror and the girl looked at herself.
Yeah, her lipstick wasn't in her place. Scott probably did that.
"Thanks," she said to Lydia before giving her the mirror. She looked up to see Stiles, staring at her. "Oh... crap," she whispered to herself.
And soon as Stiles left the field, Amelia was quick to join him, trying to run as fast as she could with her heels. She hadn't wear heels in a while since the whole hunter/protector thing began, and today she regretted wearing them.
"Stiles, can we talk?"
"About that you kissed Scott? Not my favorite subject." The girl placed a hand on his arm, stopping him from continuing to walk.
"I didn't kiss him, first off. He tried to, though. I almost slapped him across the face."
"All the times I asked you if this special connection with Scott had another meaning and you saidโ"
"Stiles!" She yelled. "I didn't kiss him, okay!? He drove me to the Coach's office, asked me if Allison still liked him and then, tried to kiss me. In any part of that says that I kissed him back?" Stiles exhaled deeply, looking at the girl. "And you have no right to be pissed at me."
"I thought you had kissed my best friend!"
"Still. At least he had the balls to try and kiss me, not like some other people," she was being passive-aggressive, and she didn't like it. She couldn't control though. "I didn't kiss him back because I liked someone else but apparently, he doesn't like me back. So I quit!"
"What are you trying to say?"
"Good luck with the full moon and Scott, because you are on your own. I'm tired of waiting for you to grow up. At least I know that tomorrow Scott will go back to normal, while you would still... I don't know... you!"
The girl squeezed the strap of her bag before walking away. She just didn't want to deal with Stiles any longer.
โข โข โข
She was so pissed.
She didn't have the right to be angry, but she was. She was so pissed.
She was also sad. She was sad of thinking about how she hurt Stiles. He believed that she and Scott had kissed and she could see the pain in his eyes when he looked at her after asking her repeatedly if she had feelings for Scott.
She didn't, but the fact that Stiles thought so made her angry.
And she was angry again.
Own the chessboard. Don't get stressed, it clouds your judgment.
"I don't care about the stupid chessboard!" She yelled, throwing her dagger to a tree.
She let herself fall onto the ground, placing her chin on her knee. She just wanted to sit there until the full moon was over and everything was back to normal.
She didn't want to lose Stiles, he was the only thing bringing her back to normal, the persons keeping her same.
The one keeping her human.
Maybe it was because she was sensing Scott's anger. The full increased Scott powers by ten, and maybe that was someone affecting her too.
She didn't want it to affect her, she just wanted this whole night to stop.
She heard footsteps approaching, and she was quick to grab her bow and arrow, noticing Scott's figure running through the woods.
She wanted to kill him.
She wanted to shoot him and kill him.
It's the full moon, it's because Scott wants to kill that you want, it's the full moon...
But still, right when she was about to shoot, she received an arrow in her leg, making her fall.
The blood ran through her leg and she tried to picture the arrow wasn't there.
It was hard to picture it since the arrow was indeed inside her body, breaking her tissue and maybe even punctuating her bone. She always had a flair for the dramatic.
The howl came from afar as the wolf ran towards her, landing in front of Amelia in four legs as she laid her back on a tree, her eyes on the big arrow that was inside of her thigh.
"They got you," whispered Scott. "Amelia, your eyes are purple." He was still in his werewolf form, being drove by the full moon.
Yet, pain makes you human, and this weird protector/werewolf connection they had, made Scott feel her pain too.
"This is what you wanted?" Amelia said as she tried to catch her breath. "People always say that everybody loves a villain. Do you think that's what I am, Scott? A villain?"
She noticed how the hair started to fade away, and the golden eyes of the werewolf lose brightness, as the wolf she had been trying to kill became the teenager again.
"You aren't a villain, Amelia..." She chuckled. "Stiles made sure you weren't." When she heard the name, a cold shiver went down her spine, landing on the wound in her leg. "This is the full moon speaking."
"The full moon does not affect me!" She yelled, her purple eyes sparkling.
"But it affects me... and it's affecting you through me."
"Stiles tried to convince you I'm good?" She asked between breathless chuckles as she closed her eyes, trying not to show weakness.
"He didn't have to...ย I already knew it. And he knows it..."
"Well... If I'm good, then why, even if I'm seconds away of dying... I still want to kill you..."
Scott stared at Amelia before placing his hand on the arrow, taking it out of her leg and making her scream. She knew that that was the only way to let the wound heal, so she actually thank him for it.
"Do you still want to kill me now?"
"No..." she whispered as she regained her strength. "If I do... Stiles wouldn't forgive me."
"What kind of villain are you that you stop mid-attack because of someone?"
"The one that even if she tries... she can't shut down her feelings..."
Scott looked at her for a few seconds before the full moon shined through the trees. The werewolf looked up before looking down at Amelia, exhaling deeply.
"Run..."
The girl grabbed her bow and started limping away as fast as she could. She didn't know who shot the arrow, maybe it was an Argent trying to kill the competition. It was probably Kate and her silly ways to exterminate her.
She didn't know, but suddenly she stopped running, noticing that Scott wasn't following her, rather running in like a wolf towards the parking lot.
"Shit, Scott!" She exclaimed before running (or limping) towards him. "I'm gonna kill you."
She didn't mean it literally, but she still stood up a little behind him and tensed the string of her bow, pointing at Scott.
When he was about to shoot, she saw as another figure pushed Scott down from the car's roof, making her open her eyes and put the bow down.
"Derek?" She saw as the two started to fight under the light of the full moon.
It was him. It was Derek.
He was alive.
They stopped fighting and the girl approached them quickly, trying with her best to not fall.
"You're alive..." she whispered, making Derek look at her.
"You really thought I was dead."
"Hey, I had hope you weren't."
She helped Scott stand up, noticing how he regained control and he was back is his normal state, yet weak.
"Are you still trying to kill me?" Asked Scott and she chuckled.
"In my defense, you did try to kiss me. And, it was the full moon, as you said. And that I fought with Stiles. There were a lot of factors... but I'm fine now. You regained control, I did too."
"I see that you guys finally bonded," Derek commented as he placed Scott's arm around his shoulders.
"Is that good?" Asked Scott as the three started walking. "Because until now, she tried to kill me again."
"Very funny," she whispered.
"Now that you guys are linked, the Alpha would try even harder to get you to kill all your friends, now that you have another person offering you protection," explained Derek. "You have to be careful."
"We will, now that I have to learn how to control myself on the full moon too," pointed out Amelia. "I could feel everything that Scott was feeling. He wanted to kill someone, and well, I wanted to kill him. I said some things to Stiles that I didn't actually mean and I did stuff I didn't want to do."
"Seems like you are getting the worst part of the full moon," commented Derek chuckling. "I believe that you'll find control."
"I assume," interrupted Scott, looking at the girl, "you'll make me play chess tomorrow?" She chuckled.
"Oh yeah..."
When they arrived to Scott's room, Derek tossed Scott towards the bed. The girl put down her bow and joined Derek, walking towards the door before the youngest werewolf talked.
"Wait," he said, "I can't do this." Amelia raised her eyebrows. "I can't be this and let Amelia be affected to. I can't be this and be with Allison." Scott looked deeply into Derek's eyes, hopeful. "I need you to tell me the truth... is there a cure?"
"I'll leave you guys to talk..."
The girl walked away from the room and went downstairs. She didn't want to be part of that conversation.
After two minutes, Derek joined her downstairs. The girl raised her eyes to look at him, squeezing the strap of her bag.
"What did you tell him? Is there a cure?"
Derek looked at her for a few seconds before they both walked outside.
"I told him that the cure comes from the one who bit you, and that he needed to help me kill him..."
"Derek..."
"I trust you, Amelia... but you have to trust me when I tell you this is the best for him. If we kill the Alpha, everything will be alright, the killings will stop, you or Stiles," the girl bit her lip, "won't be in danger anymore. I just need him to trust me."
"Fine," she said, "just... don't mess it up."
She saw as Derek left. The girl held on tightly to her bag before she walked away too, not knowing if this was the best solution for their problem.
