ย  ย  ย  ย  AMELIA WOKE UP. The alarm on her phone kept buzzing, preventing her from falling asleep again. Her eyes drifted towards the opened curtains and the sunlight hitting her face like a train, wishing she would had closed them the previous night.

"Amy! You are going to be late!" Her sister yelled from downstairs, making Amelia grown.

For some reason, her family and friends insisted on calling her Amy, even though that was her childhood nickname, and the person that started calling her that way wouldn't even speak to her.

A typical high school problem: friendships drift apart, but memories stay. A real pain in the ass, if someone asks.

Amelia stood up from her bed and walked towards her bathroom, turning on the shower before looking at herself in the mirror, noticing the bags under her eyes due to the fact that she stayed up late reading... again.

She was fond to mythical creatures! It wasn't her fault that she didn't sense the time pass as she got lost in her reading.

After her shower, Amelia dressed up for her first day back in Beacon Hills High School, or what she called: the American towny-jail, where even teachers feel like they are there against their will.

"Good morning, baby," said her mother as she kissed her cheek, but she didn't say it back. She was self-absorbed in the screen of her phone, texting with Lydia, her best friend.

AMELIAdo you want me to pick you up anddrive you to that loony place or is jacksontaking you???

LYDIAdon't worry bb jackson is taking me

LYDIAI text u when I get there

Amelia locked her phone and left it on the table, grabbing a toast and placing a slice of ham on top of it.

"Hey, Amy," her dad called her, making Amelia raise her eyes from her breakfast to look at him. "After school, there's something I need to show you."

"Why are you being so cryptic? Did something bad happen?"

"Are you finally going to tell her that she's adopted?" Asked sarcastically Amelia's sister Elizabeth.

"Are you finally going to tell Lizzie that you know about her boyfriend?"

Her parents stared at Lizzie, who was quick to flee the scene before the interrogations starts. Amelia smiled a little before looking at her dad.

"What do you want to tell me dad?" Amelia questioned before finishing the breakfast, taking the bread crumbs off from underneath her black-painted fingernails, not even paying much attention to what her father was going to tell her.

"Yesterday something happened," explained her dad. "I'll tell you more about it when you get home."

"Fine..." Amelia whispered before grabbing her bag and walking towards the door. "Bye..."

As soon as she got inside her car and drove to school, the feeling of doubt hit her. What was so important that her dad had to wait until after school to tell her? And what was the big deal with the full moon.

"There isn't wolves in California..." She heard Stiles say as she approach the entrance of the school, quickly focusing on the conversation. "There haven't been for over 50 years."

"I swear I heard them," whispered Scott.

Stiles Stilinski's eyes drifted towards the Sealgair girl as she walked towards the door, her eyes focused on her screen. He was quick to shut up his friend by hitting him on the chest two times, making Scott turn around to look at the girl too.

"Watch this," he mumbled to Scott before approaching her. "Hey, Amelia, how was your summer?"

Amelia raised her eyes from her screen. She wasn't really typing anything, she just did that so she could hear Stiles and Scott's conversation.

"I swam topless in the Caribbean Sea." Stiles jaw dropped. "What did you do, Stiles?"

"Uhm... I worked out!" He was clearly lying. "And... I helped my dad with police work. Did you know they found a body in the woods?"

Amelia gave him a fake smile before opening the doors of the high school, placing her phone inside her bag.

"Cool. Nice talk, Stiles."

And with that, Amelia Sealgair left as she walked towards Lydia and her boyfriend Jackson. Stiles exhaled, looking at his best friend.

"Could you believe she used to sleep over at my house? Huh!?" Stiles chuckled.

"It was the third grade. A lot of things have changed."

"Yeah! She got more beautiful, and then you became a nerd and I turned into a nerd by association. Now girls like Amelia won't talk to me." Stiles sighed before putting his hands in his pockets. "Do you think she actually swam topless in a beach?"

"I think she's Amelia Sealgair, I wouldn't be surprise if she did. Besides, there's a lot of fish in the sea, Stiles. You'll find someone."

"The fish I want was swimming topless in the Caribbean Sea during the summer while I laid on my back doing nothing besides hanging out with you and finishing all of the Harry Potter books."

"Why do you care so much about what she thinks? We stopped being friends a while ago."

It was true. Stiles, Scott and Amelia used to be inseparable in primary school until around fifth grade, after Scott's dad left.

Stiles and Amelia heard Melissa talking about it, about the reason of why he left, and Stiles decided they shouldn't tell Scott, but Amelia wasn't okay with it. Soon, she realized lying to her best friend was killing her inside, so slowly, se grew apart from the boys, until middle school arrived and never hung out with them again.

She could still talk to Stiles, but she couldn't look at Scott in the eyes. She knew something that could change his life and perception of his father.

Amelia sat in front of Stiles in Mr. Bridge's English class. She had Lydia next to her who was more occupied by painting her nails rather than listening to Bridge's introduction about English literature, meaning Shakespeare.

Amelia didn't like this class either, but what was she going to do?

"I assumed you have heard, and it is true... a body has been found in the woods."

Amelia turned around to look at Stiles, who slowly nodded, as if he was telling her "I told you so". The girl rolled her eyes before looking back towards the teacher, opening her book.

"Mr. Bridge, sorry to interrupt," said the principal as he walked in, joined by a beautiful brunette girl. "We have a new student. Her name is Allison Argent. Be nice."

The girl sat down behind Scott, and the boy turned around, giving her a pen.

How on Earth did heโ€”?

"Let's start!" Exclaimed the teacher, making Amelia turn around.

Something was wrong.

As soon as everyone walked away from class, Amelia was quick to walk next to Allison, who simply smiled.

"Hi, I'm Amelia Sealgair," she introduced herself, making Allison smile even more.

"I'm Allison."

"Yeah, I know," joked Amelia. "From where do you come from? I assume you aren't from here because this town isn't as big as it seems."

She chuckled. "San Francisco. My dad got a work call here and we decided to move. I'm used to it, really."

"Really?" I asked and she nodded. "Unusual job, then."

They were interrupted by Lydia and Jackson, who joined their conversation.

"I love your jacket," pointed Lydia out with a smile. "I'm Lydia Martin and this is Jackson. He's captain of the lacrosse team."

"You mean football?" Asked Allison, making Jackson scoff.

Amelia didn't like Jackson, yet he put up with him for Lydia, since they didn't seem to want to break up anytime soon.

"No, we play lacrosse here. We are state champions."

"Sure..." whispered Amelia before looking at Allison. "I'm gonna watch the practice, if you want to join me."

"Uhm, yeah!" She exclaimed, and before they could walk away, Lydia interrupted them.

"Are you guys coming to the party this weekend, right?" Asked the strawberry blonde, and Amelia was quick to nod. "Everyone is coming."

"Uhm, I don't know. Friday is family night."

"A party is the easiest way to make friends," pointed out Amelia. "Look, think about it while we watch the practice, you ask your dad this afternoon, see if he can make an exception. I mean, Lydia Martin's parties are known around the entire state."

Allison chuckled before nodding with her head, following Amelia towards the lacrosse field. Amelia noticed Stiles and Scott on the side, watching them. As soon as she connected eyes with Scott, she quickly turned around, looking at Allison instead.

"McCall!" Yelled the coach as soon as Allison and Amelia sat on the benches. Amelia raised her eyes from her phone to look at Scott, who was grabbing the large stick.

He was in goal.

"Who's that?" Asked Allison to Amelia, and the girl looked at the number eleven.

"That's Scott McCall," answered Amelia. "Why?"

"He's in our English class. He sits in front of me."

Amelia nodded, recalling the pen situation. She watched over the field where Scott was standing in front of the goal, holding tightly the lacrosse stick. She knew he wasn't a good goalkeeper, or actually, good at lacrosse.

"How do you know him?"

"We used to be best friends with this other guy named Stiles. We drifted apart in high school. Well... he and Stiles are still close. I was the one that left. It's a long story, but he is a good guy. If I'm being honest, I still care about him, and he deserves someone else other than Stiles. I can introduce you two if you like."

The whistle prevented Allison from replying. Amelia noticed that Scott seemed to been affected by the whistle, and then the ball hit him in the head, filling the field with laughter.

"Try not to catch the ball with your face, McCall!"

Both girls watch as the next lacrosse player approached the goal and threw the ball, what happened next surprising everyone.

Scott caught it.

"What theโ€”" whispered Amelia as she watched Scott catch another ball. "Walk with me."

Allison followed Amelia as she approached the bench where Stiles was, watching his best friend playing better than he has ever had.

"Stiles!" Yelled the girl and the boy turned around, being surprised that she was even talking to him. "What the hell?"

"I know!" Exclaimed the boy before turning around, still watching his best friend. "That's my friend!"

Allison stood next to Amelia as she crosses her arms, watching over Scott. He had a happy expression as he caught every single ball, and for some reason, Amelia found that interesting.

The way he moved, his reflexes, his strength... there was a tingling in Amelia's body that wanted to...

She completely forgot that dark feeling as soon as the practice was over and the team walked towards the benches. The girl grabbed Allison's hand and both of the girls waited outside the boy's locker room until the two best friends got out, the girl placing her arm across the guy's chest, preventing him from walking.

Stiles and Scott looked at the girl in surprise. It was the first time Amelia had tried to talk to Scott in years.

"Scott," she said. "Meet my friend Allison."

The boy looked at the girl nervously, wishing he didn't smell like sweat and grass. Was Amelia trying to embarrass him?

"You were great out there," pointed Allison out with a tiny smile. Scott couldn't even talk.

"There's a party on Friday, Scott," intervened Amelia with a smile. "And Allison is looking for a date! Right, Ally?"

"Uhm..."

"You'll be Allison's date. To the party."

"It's okay if you can't..." whispered Allison before looking at Amelia, asking her with her eyes if they could please leave. But Amelia wasn't giving up.

Not only she wanted Allison at that party, but since forever she has felt like she owns Scott something, like if for all these years of secrets and lies, she was in debt with him. She was trying to repay it.

"No! I mean... I can, and I'd love to."

"Great," said Allison with a tiny smile. "I have to go but I'll see you later. Bye Scott."

And with that, the brunette left, leaving Amelia and the guys in the hallway.

"Amy, you didn't have toโ€”"

"Where are you guys going right now?" Asked the girl. "I'm really interested in hearing how you guys trained the whole summer so that you can make first line."

"Uhm..." whispered Stiles. "We are going to look for Scott's inhaler... in the woods."

The girl chuckled. "I'll follow you with my car."

Being in the woods with Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski wasn't in Amelia's plans for the day, yet, she was really intrigued by Scott's new abilities, and the boys didn't seem uncomfortable around her.

"I really don't know what it was. It was like I had all the time in the world to catch the ball," explained the teenager as Stiles helped Amelia cross the river. "And that's not the only weird thing."

"What can possibly be more weird that you knowing how to play lacrosse?" Asked Amelia as she finally crossed the river.

"I can hear stuff I shouldn't be able to hear," explained Scott. "Like I heard your conversation with Allison on the bleachers. About me..."

"Hey! That was a private conversation, Scott." But then she realized what he was saying. "Wait... You were too far..."

"That's what I'm saying! I can also smell things."

Stiles looked at him confused. "Smell things? Like what?"

The boy looked towards the sky before replying. "Like the Mint Mojito gum in your pocket and the Victoria Secret vanilla scented perfume in Amelia's bag."

The girl raised her eyebrows as he looked in his pocket, taking out the piece of uneaten gum he had. She already knew she had a bottle of perfume in her bag so she didn't bother to check.

"So... all this started with the bite."

"Bite?" Asked Amelia. "What bite?"

"Scott swears he got bitten by a supposedly wolf yesterday as we were looking for the body," replied Stiles. "And remind me why are we telling you all this stuff?"

"What if it's like an infection?" Asked Scott, interrupting Stiles and Amelia. "Like if my body is flooding with adrenaline before I go into shock or something?"

"That's impossible," Amelia pointed out as she leaned on Stiles again to jump a tree. "I should've worn different shoes."

"No kidding," whispered Stiles as he looked over Scott again. "You know what? I actually think I've heard of this infection you are saying. It's a specific kind of infection."

Scott was quick to turn around to look at him curiously as Stiles stood there, thinking deeply.

"Are you serious?"

"Absolutely," he replied as the three stopped walking. "I think it's called lycanthropy."

Amelia couldn't held her laughter.

"What's that? Is that bad?" Asked Scott nervously as he looked at his best friend. Amelia was trying so hard not to burst out laughing.

"Oh yeah, it's the worst. But only once a month," said Amelia, following the joke.

"Once a month?" Stiles nodded.

"On the night of the full moon."

Amelia quickly intervened, mimicking a wolf howling and making Stiles and her burst out laughing.

Scot walked away, the other two following as they continued to chuckle.

"You were the one that heard wolves!" Defended Stiles.

"There could be something seriously wrong with me!"

"I know! You're a werewolf!" Yelled Stiles, but Scott was quick to turn around.

"Your phone, Amelia."

"What?" She asked before opening her purse, realizing that indeed her blackberry was buzzing. The girl grabbed it and looked at it confused.

DADWhere are you? I told you I had somethingimportant to tell you after school.

"It's my dad, hold on," she told them before replying.

AMELIAI'm with Scott and Stiles doing a biologyproject. I'll be home soon.

"If you see me in shop class, melting all the silver I can find it's because Friday's a full moon," pointed out Stiles as he continued with the joke. Amelia was quick to reach them, trying not to fall with her high heels. Stiles offered her arm and she interlocked her with it, gaining more balance.

"I could have sworn this was it," he said as they stopped walking. "I saw the body, the deer came running. I dropped my inhaler."

"Wait, you saw the body?" Asked Amelia. "Is there something else you guys aren't telling me?"

"Why we should tell you everything? Why are you even here?" Snapped Scott, making Amelia raised her eyebrows.

"Scott..." mumbled Stiles.

"I just wanted to know how was possible that you've sucked in lacrosse your entire life and now you are extremely good at it. Besides, we are looking for something you don't even need anymore!"

Scott turned around to face the girl in confusion.

"What do you mean?"

"I've known you my entire life, McCall, you can't even go five minutes without the damn thing! This entire day you haven't needed it."

Scott ignored her, even though she was making a point. The guy inched over, looking for it on the ground.

"Maybe the killer moved the body," suggested Stiles as Amelia looked under her shoes in case she sees it.

"I hope he left my inhaler. Those things are like 80 bucks."

"I'll buy you a new one!" Exclaimed Amelia. "Let's go!"

But they were interrupted by Stiles, who jumped in her place and quickly stepped in front of Amelia, as if he was trying to protect her. Scott stood up, the three looking at the man in the black leather jacket who was staring at them.

He had pale skin and a sharp jaw. His eyes were blue, almost gray, and he had a look that could slice you in half. Without moving, he was more intimidating than any guy Amelia has ever met.

The man began to walk towards them, his eyebrows staying low and his eyes still staring on the three teenagers, without even blinking.

"What are you doing here? Huh?" Asked as he stopped in front of them. None of the three replied. "This is private property."

"Uh, sorry man, we didn't know," answered Stiles, still covering Amelia.

"Yeah, we were just looking for something..." mumbled Scott, looking directly at the man's eyes. "Forget it..."

The man took something from the pocket of his leather jacket and tossed it over Scott. Amelia realized it was the guy's inhaler. Why did he have it? And how did he know?

The man turned around and walked away, leaving the three teenagers standing there in complete shock.

"I have to get to work..." whispered Scott but Stiles was quick to intervene, placing a hand on his best friend's chest.

"Dude! That was Derek Hale." Amelia raised her eyebrows. "You remember, right? He's only like a few years older than us."

"Remember what?"

"His family," replied Stiles, and then Amelia remembered the last name.

"Hale... they all burned in a fire... ten years ago," recalled the girl and Stiles nodded. "Why is he back in Beacon Hills?" Stiles scoffed before he started walking back.

There was a lot of questions Amelia had about Scott's new talents, but it was clear that the boy didn't trust her, and only talked to her because Stiles did.

She had to change that if she wanted to know what was going on with him.

As soon as Amelia arrived home, shielding herself from the rain with her jacket. She run towards the stairs, taking off her boots and throwing them aside.

"Amy." She jumped when she heard her dad calling her. "You get scared easily," he noted. "Follow me."

She followed her dad trying to toss aside her wet hair. They were walking towards the basement, the place her dad made her swore she'll never go. When dads hide things like that, it's normally expensive alcoholic beverages or expensive stuff.

But Amelia's dad had a whole weapon storage room.

"Amelia... you are a supernatural hunter..." was the thing he said as she let go off her bag, in shock. "And the supernatural has arrived to Beacon hills."

I really hope you like this story!!! Love u all
