Chapter 17

The blinding light slipped through the space between your eyelids.

You opened your eyes slowly trying to ease it in.

Your head was throbbing. You reached for your head when your arm was gently pulled back down. You gazed at the hand and your eyes followed it up the arm to find a face.

He was cute.

"Um do I know you?" you asked in a raspy.

He stood up dismayed. "Y-you dont remember me?"

"I think I'd remember someone as attractive as you." you blushed.

Must be these drugs making you this brave.

"Analise. It's me Erik." he said taking your hand. "Please tell me you're joking. "

You pulled your hand out of his grap.

"I'm sorry but I'm not." as soon as your words left your mouth there was a knock at the door and a lady who you assumed was a nurse walked in.

"Hello Analise. Im Jackie, your assigned nurse how are you feeling? " she asked in a soft voice.

"Um my head is killing me and I'm really confused on what happened. Why am I in the hospital? " you replied

"Well your boyfriend here,"she gestured to Erik. "He brought you in. You had a nasty fall and cut your forehead. It might be a few days before your memory returns. Maybe longer. We'll run a few test later to hopefully give us a better estimate. If you need anything press the red button. " she turned and exited the room leaving you alone with Erik.

You shifted in the bed to get a better look at him.

"How did I fall so awfully that I ended up hospitalized?" you asked him

"You didnt." he took a step towards you. "Oh Ana I'm so sorry. This is all my fault. I lost my temper and my control of my power. I've been drinking which I hardly do it was very foolish of me I just wanted you back so much. I love you Ana I hope that you will forgive me. I haven't been able to sleep since you kicked me out. All I could think about how sorry I was and how bad I missed you and I honestly don't know why I'm telling you any of this since you dont remember a thing." he stopped and walked to the door. "Good night love" he said opening the door

"Wait!" you shouted a little too loudly.

He turned to look at you. His eyes narrowed in confusion.

"Don't go. I dont have anyone else to keep me company. Please stay with me." he nodded and walked over to the chair that sat right next to your bed and took a seat in it.

"So boyfriend huh.."you said earning a deep chuckle from him.

A/N: Sorry this is so short i was half asleep when i remembered that im writing a fanfic that probably should be updated. So yeah i will do more tomorrow hopefully longer than this but
