Chapter 12

"Erik. I met Charles." you mentioned to him one night in bed.

"Really?  He didn't tell me this." he said genuinely confused. "When?"

"The morning you left after getting out of prison. He was in the coffee shop. He jumped in line when i walked in. He paid for my breakfast and when i went to thank him he introduced himself and we talked for a bit." you paused "Are you mad?"

"No. Not particularly but i do wish he would have told me. So what did you two talk about? "

You shifted back a little more to see his expression.

"He told me he's never seen you so happy. He said," you paused "he said i could crush your whole world."

He chuckled deeply before he got a serious look on his face.

"Charles was right. " he agreed taking your hand before placing it to his lips and kissing it. "If you were ever to say you didnt love me anymore i.." he trailed off still holding your hand to his lips. He kissed your knuckles "Please dont leave me. Promise you'll love me forever. Everyone I've loved has left me in one way or another.  My mother,  Charles.  I wont let you go. I love you and vow to be the best man that i can be for you. For only you.  Just dont crush my world. I cant take it again. I cant lose you."

You nodded letting a tear cascade down your cheek at Erik's heartwarming words.

"As long as you'll have me im yours. I love you Erik."

"I love you more Ana." he hesitated to kiss your tears. "Now sleep my love I have plans for us tomorrow. "
