extra chapter-part 2

seonghwa stepped up to the reception desk at the hospital nervously. "u-um hello i- i mean we- i mean she-"y/n cut in"hi my name is y/n i'd like to check in for an ultrasound""alright miss y/n could you please follow me"

y/n and seonghwa followed the nurse into a room where an ultrasound machine was.

"if you'll just wait here for a few minutes the doctor will be right with you."

she left, and the room was silent.

"are you excited?""w-what? am i excited? i mean f-for the..yes i-""oh my GOSH seonghwa you need to chill. out. you're about to have a stroke and i'd really prefer if my child knows their father"he seemed like he was snapped into reality. "right. ok i'm calm i'll calm down i'm calm""good." y/n put her hand on top of his. "i'mglad you're here with me. i know your work is important to you so thank you for taking a day for this""oh yeah of course it's no big deal. i mean yeah like, it's important but like, not anywhere near as important as..you know""what""you and," he poked her growing belly. "the little one""aw you're so cheesy"seonghwa's face erupted into a blushed mess, which he tried desperately to hide. y/n laughed.

suddenly, they heard a knock at the door and the doctor walked in. she greeted both of them and they introduced themselves. "alright miss y/n if you could kindly sit up on this table and roll back your shirt i'm going to apply this jelly to your skin so we can get a good look at your uterus"y/n hopped onto the table and followed the doctor's directions. "here i'm going to put the jelly on now. it's going to be a little cold."it was cold, but not too cold. the doctor took the sensor and rubbed it around on her stomach. images started appearing on the screen. "before i say anything, would you two like to know the sex of your baby?" they exchanged a glance, and y/n replied "yes please"

the doctor pointed to a vague blob, indicating that it was the fetus. "can you see this?"y/n leaned forward in awe, as did seonghwa. "yes" they said in unison.

"that's your son"

first please know i have almost zero medical knowledge so i apologize for a possibly very inaccurate portrayal of an ultrasound JDJSJ
