Chapter Twenty Three

" So what do we do know?" Doug asked.

" We start packing our things now until night approaches." Mal replied.

" Hold on, why is it at night?" Jane asked.

" Think of it as mysteriously invading the villains during the night. They won't even suspect because most of them are asleep." Mal answered.

" Oh!" the gang understood.

" Then what are we waiting for, let's do it! But, first, I gotta tell my parents about it, so they know." Ben said.

" Alright. Just take your time, Benny Boo." Mal replied.

( giggle...giggle..)

While Ben went off to find his parents, Mal faced the rest of the group and told them to start getting ready.

( Back at the Isle of the Lost...)

" Okay, so what's the plan? When do we strike back at Auradon?" Jafar asked in a somewhat impatient manner.

" We'll strike by midnight." replied Maleficent.

" Midnight?!" reacted Cruella and Evil Queen in shock.

" That's when everyone is all asleep. Even I'm asleep." added Cruella.

" Same here." nodded Evil Queen.

" Well, I'll have you two know it won't be easy if the people in Auradon are all awake. So, don't complain!" yelled Maleficent.

" Okay, sheesh." Evil Queen and Cruella muttered with a bit of fear.

" Sigh.... Just get on with the plan, Maleficent." Jafar said.

" We will go to Auradon by midnight. Once we've arrive there, we'll strike every royal that lives there." announced Maleficent.

" And what about our children?" Evil Queen asked.

" We'll take them after we've gotten rid of everyone in Auradon." replied Maleficent.

" Then what will we do with them?" asked Cruella.

" I'd punish Jay. I always do. Though, his thieving skills are very important to me, making him very useful." Jafar notified.

" Obviously, we will punish our children for betrayal. But, maybe we should try being kind towards them until the time comes." smirked Maleficent.

" Huh?!" the three villains reacted confusingly.

" Don't you get it? They always wanted love from us. So why don't we do it until the time comes to strike back at them?" notified Maleficent.

" So you want us to pretend?" Jafar asked.

" Yes. We shall act." replied Maleficent.

Evil Queen and Cruella's POV

" Oh boy...."

" Tonight, we shall attack." announced Maleficent.

( gasp!)

" Mom's planning to attack Auradon and pretend she's a loving mother to both Mal and I. This isn't good.." mumbled Malice softly.

" It's a good thing I have the eavesdrop ability. It's really funny, I don't know where I got it, knowing my mom doesn't have these abilities. I may have gotten it from dad or any of my relatives.." Malice said to herself.

" Anyhow, I gotta start writing another letter to Mal." mumbled Malice.

And so Malice did another attempt to write a letter to her sister. Though, before she could complete the letter, her mother comes calling her.

" Malice! Darling! Mother is sorry for locking you in your room completely." sang Maleficent in a melody tone.

" Huh?! Well, that's okay." replied Malice while hiding the paper in a nearby drawer.

( door opens)

" Sweetheart, I am so sorry. Will you forgive me?" asked Maleficent.

" Uh....Sure." replied Malice.

Maleficent smiled and hugs Malice. It was so tight that Malice couldn't even breathe.

" Mom, I can't breathe." said Malice.

" Oh, I'm sorry." Maleficent apologized as she puts Malice down.

" Whew.. It's okay..." replied Malice.

" Do you want mother to make hot chocolate for you?" Maleficent asked.

" Wha?!" reacted Malice with confusion.

" Is there a problem? Did I do something?" Maleficent asked with a worry tone.

" Why are you all of a sudden nice to me?" asked Malice with curiosity.

" Why is that a problem? You don't want me to be kind to you?" asked Maleficent.

" Oh no, it's not a problem. It's just weird especially with the hot chocolate thing." replied Malice.

( laughs)

" So you want hot chocolate?" asked Maleficent.

" Uh.... Sure, I guess." Malice replied.

" Alright then." smiled Maleficent while closing the door gently.

Once Maleficent is gone from sight, Malice freaked out like crazy.

" Gah! This is so wrong!!! I know I wanted love from her, but, this is just so weird and creepy." freaked out Malice.

" Is there a problem dear?" called Maleficent from downstairs.

" Oh no, It's fine!" answered Malice.

" Okay..." replied Maleficent.

" I gotta let Mal know this." says Malice.

While Maleficent attempts to make hot chocolate, Malice quickly tries to finish her letter. When she's done, she crumples the letter to a paper plane again and throws it out of the window. Once again, she makes sure it flies to Auradon. As she watches from the window, Maleficent comes in the room with not one but two hot chocolates.

" Darling, I have the hot chocolate ready." Maleficent happily notified.

" Huh? Oh, thanks." Malice replied.

" No worries, now drink up or yours will get cold." Maleficent alerted.

" Oh, okay." replied Malice.

So, weirdly with Maleficent's kindness, the two of them drank their hot chocolate. Luckily for Malice, Maleficent is not aware of the letters she has sent to Auradon. It is best if she doesn't know or Malice, herself, shall get a punishment from her. Once, the mother and child finished their drinks, Maleficent offered  some more family time like playing dance dance revolution. At first, Malice was more confused than ever, but, she went with it. To Malice, her mother's attempt at DDR was hilarious. She kept making so many mistakes that it made her look like a goof. Though, Malice didn't care for she seems to start having fun around her mother even though she knows it's all a manipulative plan.

( Meanwhile, back in Auradon...)

" Mal, you almost done packing?" Evie asked.

" Almost. No need to worry much, the plan doesn't start till night time." Mal replied.

" It's not that, it's just there's a carnival going on and I want you to come with me along with Doug, Jane, Lonnie, and Ben. They say it's one of the most exciting attraction in Auradon." Evie notified.

" Oh?" reacted Mal as she turns to face her best friend.

" Yeah!" nodded Evie.

( oof!)

" E, you okay? That piece of paper got into your face." Mal said.

" I'm okay." Evie replied as she takes the paper off her face.

Her eyes went wide the moment she sees what's written on the paper.

" Mal, you need to look at this." Evie notified.

" What?" Mal asked.

When Mal took hold of the paper, her eyes went wide.

" It's from Malice." Mal said.

" What does it say?" asked Evie.

" Dear Mal,

Mom and the rest of her gang are planning to strike Auradon at midnight."

" Wha?! Mom's planning to hit Auradon at midnight?! That's when we strike." Mal reacted with shock.

" Whoa, whoa,whoa. Calm down. Just read what else Malice said." Evie soothed.

" And mom and her gang are going to pretend to be nice to their own children until the time they show their true intentions. Also, mom's creeping me out with the whole nice thing and offering me hot chocolate. IT'S SO WEIRD!!!!"

" Oh my gosh..." the two girls muttered.

" We'd better tell the others!" the two girls mumbled out loud.

After that, they ran out their room like fast athlete. They ran and ran until they find their friends. Once they found them, they approached them immediately.

" Hey, Mal, hey Evie. We were wondering if you two would come with us to the carnival. Jay and Carlos wanted to come, so we let them." Ben greeted.

" Yup!" Jay and Carlos nodded.

" We have bad news." Evie and Mal said.

" Bad news?" the gang asked.

" Yes. And we think Lonnie shouldn't hear this." Mal said.

Evie nodds her head.

" Aw... Why? You know I'd love to help too." asked Lonnie.

" We doubt you could help out..." Mal replied with a apologetic voice.

" Sorry..." Evie apologized.

" Hey! Sure I don't have powers or whatever it is to stop the bad guys, but I can help by alerting the people here in Auradon." Lonnie muttered with disappointment.

" She is right." Jane said.

" Alright,alright. Mal just tell us what's the news." Ben insisted.

" Our parents, Maleficent, Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella are going to attack Auradon at the same time we strike the Isle of the Lost." Mal announced.

" You mean by midnight?" Carlos asked.

" Yes. And get this, according to my sister, our parents is going to pretend to be nice to us until the time they can show their true intentions." Mal replied.

" That's terrible!" Lonnie, Doug, and Jane exclaimed with horror.

" Yeah. And Malice already experienced it. Our mother was being all kind and gentle with her and even offered her hot chocolate. Which is awkward to me when I think about it now.." Mal said.

" What's the plan now?" Ben, Jane, Carlos, and Jay asked.

" Yeah, E." nodded Evie.

" We strike by sunset." Mal notified.

" Sunset? Why?" Lonnie asked.

" Since they'll strike by midnight, it won't make sense to strike on the same time as them. We must do it without them noticing." Mal replied.

" If you kids are going, I'll go to." offered King Adam whom showed up out of the blue.

" Dad?" Ben asked surprisingly.

" King Adam, what a surprise!" Jane and Lonnie exclaimed.

" What are you doing here?" Ben asked.

" I couldn't help but overhear the conversation." King Adam replied.

" Wait! I want to help too!" Fairy Godmother called.

" Fairy Godmother?" Ben, Lonnine, Carlos, Jay, Mal, and Evie asked surprisingly.

" Mom?" Jane asked.

" I overheard the conversation too. You children will need the help you can get." Fairy Godmother notified.

" Then, let's get this plan going!" exclaimed Mal along with the others except for Lonnie.

" What about me? What can I do?" Lonnie asked.

" I think Lonnie can alert all the guards about the villains' plans and also get them to evacuate everyone." Ben voted.

" I think so too." Doug and Jane nodded.

" What about me? Can I help Lonnie?" Carlos asked.

" Sure." Mal replied.

" Great!" exclaimed Carlos.

" What about you Jay?" Ben asked.

" I think I'll stick with you guys." Jay replied.

" Evie?" Ben asked.

" I think I'll stay with you guys too." replied Evie.

" Jane?" Ben asked.

" Same here." Jane replied.

" Alright, we're all set, we shall get ready until sunset." Mal announced.

( back in the Isle of the Lost...)

" What else do you want to do darling?" Maleficent asked.

" I don't know, what do you prefer?" asked Malice.

" How about we play games that you used to play when you were small?" Maleficent asked.

" Huh?!" Malice reacted.

" What? I just want to spend a more time with you." Maleficent replied.

Malice's left eye start to twitch and her temperature start to go up until it looked like she has a fever.

" Oh dear, are you sick?" Maleficent asked as she feels Malice's forehead.

" Oh, you do seem to have a fever. Want to go upstairs and rest?" Maleficent asked.

Malice fainted.

" Are you okay?" Maleficent asked.

( Ugh.....)

" Okay, you're going upstairs to your room." says Maleficent as she tries to carry Malice.

" Gah, you're heavy." Maleficent complained.

" Oh no." muttered Maleficent.

Too late, Maleficent fell to the floor again.

" You're really heavy..." mumbled Maleficent.
