Stella

I had just got done fighting the supernatural with Stiles. While most people would go home and contemplate why they just had to fight supernatural creatures, I didn't do that. I went home and cracked open a bottle of wine. Stiles made sure Scott got into bed okay so as I waited for him to come down stairs, I reached into the cupboard and pulled out two wine glasses, pouring Stiles a glass. I sat at the table with Stiles' glass next to me and the bottle in the middle of us. I sipped the red wine as Stiles walked into the kitchen. He had a small smile on his face when his eyes met mine. "I saved you a glass" I smiled tiredly at him, pointing to the glass of wine. Stiles walked over and plopped himself down on the chair with a heavy sigh. "God I'm exhausted". "You and me both" I laughed. Stiles and I were talking. About anything that came to mind. I was swishing around my wine in the glass. "Is everything okay with you and Malia?" I asked. Stiles nodded. "Stiles, I know when you're lying" I said as I placed my glass down on the table. "Malia and I kind of broke up" he sighed. "What?" I said surprised. "Things weren't working out with us" he shrugged. "W-when did this happen?" I asked. "A few days ago" he replied. "Why didn't you tell me?" I questioned. "Because I didn't want you or Scott, or anyone else feeling sorry for me" he replied. "Stiles we don't feel sorry for you. We'd be worried about you" I shook my head. Stiles finished his wine and poured himself some more. "She's just a girl I was with. There will be more" he said as he drank some wine. "Stiles, she wasn't just a girl. You loved Malia" i replied. "Sometimes when you love someone you have to let them go" he replied. I looked at Stiles, he looked upset. I knew how much Malia meant to him. "What about you? Any guys on the scene that I don't know about?" he nudged you smiling. "No. no one for me" I smiled a little. "There's got to be someone? What about Isaac?" he asked. "Me and Isaac we're never going to work" I shook my head. "Why not?" he laughed. "We're two totally different people" I shrugged. "Sometimes opposites attract" Stiles smiled. "I think I'll stick to being forever alone" I looked down at my wine glass. I picked it up and sipped it. "You won't be forever alone Stel, you'll find someone. And I can guarantee you that he will be the luckiest guy in the world to have you in his life" Stiles informed me. I smiled at him. "Have you thought about any colleges yet?" he asked. "No" I sighed. "How come?". "I don't think I want to go to college" I shrugged. "Why not?" Stiles asked. "I don't even know if I'm going to pass this year and even if I do that'll be a miracle. I just want to go travel the world, see things that I missed and go find myself. I need to find out where I belong" I replied. "You belong here Stel." Stiles informed me. "If you were to go to college, what do you want to study?" Stiles asked. "Either something along the lines of FBI or becoming a nurse like my Mom. What about you?" I smiled. "Uh I'm thinking of doing something along the Crime route. Like an FBI agent" he shrugged. I smiled "Stella and Stiles California's top FBI agents" I laughed. "Sounds perfect" he laughed. "FBI it is then" I bit my lower lip.

Stiles and I cracked into another bottle of wine. It was now 1am and my Mom arrived in from work. She walked into the kitchen, seeing me and Stiles at the table drinking. "What are you kids doing up at 1am?" she asked. "Drinking, talking ya know" Stella replied. "I don't condone under age drinking, but please be responsible" My Mom said. "Don't worry Melissa I'll have her in bed by 4am" Stiles replied. "Be safe you two" My Mom said as she gave me a wink. "Mom ew" I replied. Stiles laughed at my Mom's comment. My Mom left to go to bed. Stiles and I sat in silence. Stiles looked at his phone and looked back at me. "What?" I smiled. "It's officially your birthday, well it was like an hour ago" he chuckled. "God, its so weird. For the first time in six years I actually get to celebrate my birthday" I laughed. "And I'm glad I get to spend it with you" he smiled. Stiles reached down into his backpack. "I was going to wait till tomorrow at the party to give you this but I can't wait" he said as he pulled a small box out of his bag. Stiles placed the small box on the table in front of me. It was perfectly wrapped. "Well, your wrapping skills have improved" I laughed. "Just open it" he chuckled. I pulled off the wrapping paper and opened the box. Inside the box was a beautiful heart shaped locket with a diamond in the middle. I looked up at Stiles "Open the locket" he said. I opened it and inside was two photos, one of me and Stiles and one of me and Scott. As I closed the locker I looked at the back of it where it was engraved "No matter where you are in the world we will always be with you, remember we love you. Happy birthday beautiful- Stiles x" I started tearing up. "Stiles this is beautiful thank you" I sniffed as I pulled him in for a hug. Stiles hugged me tight before pulling away. He wiped my tears. "I wanted to get you something that was meaningful" he said. I sniffed. "I love it Stiles" I smiled. "Here let me put it on" he said. I turned around in my chair, my back facing Stiles. Stiles brushed my hair to the side and gently draped the necklace on my neck. One he had finished I turned around to face him.

"I wanna try something" Stiles said. "Okay" I replied. Stiles moved closer to me, our knees now touching. He looked me in the eyes before leaning in. He brushed his lips off mine. The kiss was soft and gentle. I kissed him back, wrapping my arms around his neck. Stiles pulled back. "Why did you kiss me?" I asked. Stiles moved a strand of hair from my face. "I-I don't know" Stiles replied. Stiles stood up off the chair. "Uh I better get home. I'll see you tomorrow" he blurted. "Stiles you can't drive home you have alcohol in your system" I replied. "I'll walk" he said as he walked out of the kitchen and into the hallway. "Stiles" I said. "I'll see you tomorrow Stel" he said as he left.
