Nine

Stiles

Parrish was walking towards Theo and The Chimeras. Myself, Stella, Scott and Theo were trying to get to Lydia. We were too late. Theo walked into her room and pulled her out, his claws on her neck. Stella's hand went to her mouth as tears left her eyes. Seeing Lydia like this was killing her, and it was killing me seeing Stella like this. "Back off" Theo said to Parrish as he dug his nails into Lydia's neck. Parrish wasn't listening and kept walking towards them "I said back off" he dug his claws deeper into her neck. As Theo and his pack were discussing what to do I pulled Stella into my chest hugging her. Parrish managed to take down Donovan and Lucy. Then along came Valek, digging his drill into Theo's leg and knocking him to the floor. "Sorry Theo I'm not done with her yet" Valek said, picking up Lydia. "LYDIA" Stella yelled. Valel turned around and saw me and the others. I pushed Stella behind me. Parrish threw a burnt Corey towards me. Corey fell on top of Stella causing them to hit the floor. I pulled Corey off of Stella and helped her up before taking her hand and running to find Lydia and Valek. Vale ran into a room with Lydia. The door was jammed shut. "LYDIA" I yelled as I banged on the door. "Stiles its not working"Stella said. As we both kicked the door and banged on it. "Let me try" Theo pushed Stella out of the way and managed to kick the door open. I ran inside with Stella. "You're not going to find her without me" Theo yelled. Stella and I ran down a corridor reaching another door, this time it was open. "Stella, Stiles" I turned around to see Theo standing there. "I want her out of here too" Theo informed us. "Yeah so you can kill her" Stella replied. "I've got her scent" he said. "What do you want?" I asked. "Whats the difference? i can find her and you can't" he said. Theo, Stella and I walked into the boys showers, seeing if Lydia was in here. "Okay I'm just gonna leave" Stella covered her eyes. "They're not naked dumbs" Theo informed her. "Hey she's not a dumbass. Dumbass" I replied allowing Theo to know who was boss. We walked over and found a passage way. "I am not getting in there" Stella crossed her arms. "It leads to tunnels right?" Theo said. "Yeah. Miles of them" I replied as I looked at Stella.

Myself, Stella and Theo were now down in the tunnels. "I thought you said you had Lydia's scent?" Stella asked. "I lost it" he defended "Of course you did" she rolled her eyes. "So find it again" I rolled my eyes at Theo. "It smells like chemicals and fectal matter down here" Stella covered her nose with her shirt. "Which is what I can smell too so can you both please shut up whilst I try something else" Theo asked. "You know what we can find her" Stella said as she started walking away. I followed her. "You know you won't. You're gonna have to trust me" Theo replied. "Trust you? The guy who murdered his own sister when he was nine and the guy who almost murdered Stella?" I furrowed my eyebrows at him. "Yeah. I was nine years old and the I also believed that a guy in a red suit came down the chimney to deliver presents and when three people came to me saying that Lucy wanted my heart I did too" he shrugged. "So you went and killed her. It's a beautiful story" I replied. "That doesn't change the fact that you almost murdered Stella" I said. "I apologise for that" Theo said. Just then I heard a scream, not just any scream. Lydia's scream. It echoed through the tunnels. "W-what direction was that?" Stella asked. "Where's it coming from?" i asked Theo. "Everywhere" he replied.

-a few minutes later-

Stella and I were running through the tunnels trying to find out where Lydia's scream came from. We came to a diversion. "Which way?" Stella asked. "This way c'mon" I replied as we both ran down the left pathway. We ended up right were we were before, with Theo. "Nothing" Theo said. I sighed. "I'm trying to help save her life" he said. "Will you just drop the altruistic crap. You want Lydia because she gets you Parrish. You want Parrish because he can get you to the beast" I said. "Beast?" Stella asked confused. "Yeah the werewolf beast I was telling you about last night" I informed her. "Oh" she smiled a little. "I want to dead too" Theo said. "Right after you take its power" Stella said. "We know you're looking for Deaucalion" Stella said. "I found Deaucaliun" he replied.

-That night-

After finally escaping Eichen, Lydia screamed. It caused me and Stella to get hurt. My ear was bleeding and Stella was almost unconscious. I was sat in the back of the jeep with Lydia and Stella. Lydia looked to Stella to see that she was hurt. When we arrived at the Animal Clinic Scott took Lydia inside. I scooped Stella up, my arms hooking under her knees carrying her inside the animal clinic. I ran inside and lay Stella down softly on the table. Lydia lay on the other table, Scott holding her down. Deaton held a needle in his hand. "W-what are you doing?" I asked. "Hold her still" Deaton replied. Stella tensed as the needle went into her skin.Then Lydia shot up on the table, screaming. The windows smashed. I threw myself onto Stella, protecting her.  When Lydia's scream ended Lydia was fine but Stella wasn't. "W-what's happening? Why isn't she waking up?" I panicked. I couldn't bare to lose the girl I love.

I placed my hands on either side of Stella's face, brushing away any glass. "You gotta wake up Stella" I said. A tear fell from my eyes. "No no no no no Stella, Wake up". "C'mon wake up, you hear me Stel, wake up come on baby. Open your eyes. C'mon C'mon listen to me Stel. Stel show me your eyes okay? Stella you have to wake up" I said. My lip started quivering. I was trying to hold back the tears. She was gone. The girl I have always loved was gone. I looked to Scott who was tearing up. Lydia sat on the table "T-this is all my fault" she cried.

Then I heard Stella gasping for air. She was okay. "She's going to be fine Stiles" Deaton said. Stella opened her eyes "Stiles?" she said. "Im here, I'm right here" I smiled a little. I reached out for Stella's hand, my fingers intertwining with hers. "You're okay?" I said softly. "I'm okay" she smiled a little and nodded. "Lets sit you up" I said. My other hand found her back and I gently sat Stella up. Her eyes met mine, making me smile. "Y-you're ear is bleeding" Stella reached up to touch it. "I'm gonna be fine. Don't you worry about me okay" I said. My lips pressed against her forehead. Stella reached up and wrapped her arms around my back. I hugged her tight not wanting to let her go. The Melissa McCall came rushing in. "Is she okay?" Melissa asked worryingly. "She's fine Mom" Scott replied. Melissa rushed over to where Stella was sitting and hugged her. "Stiles saved me Mom" Stella informed her Mother. Melissa mouthed the words "Thank you to me" I flashed her a toothless smile. Scott smiled at me. He was thankful for me saving Stella. "I'm not paying for the windows" I pointed to them. Everyone laughed, including Stella.

After what happened at the animal clinic I took Stella back to my house. I didn't want to leave her alone. My Dad asked was she okay and Stella hugged him. She was happy to see him. I Stella up to my bedroom and sat her on the bed. I got her some of my clothes and a towel. "You're going to have a bath and relax" I informed her. "I don't want a bath" she shook her head. "Stel you've been through a lot today, you need to relax" I informed her. Stella sighed and took the towel and clothes from me. "I'll be right her" I informed her. She nodded and headed to the bathroom where the bath was ready for her.

I sat in my room, studying my crime board waiting for Stella. Stella walked into my room and sat on the bed. "What ya doing?" she asked. "Trying to figure out Barrow's case" I informed her. "Barrie? Who attacked me two weeks ago?" She replied. "Yep" I replied. "What do the different colour strings mean?" Stella asked as she looked next to her on the bed. "Uh just different stages of the investigation. So like Green is solved, Yellow is to be determined, Blue just's pretty" I informed her. "What do red mean?" Stella asked. "Unsolved" I replied. "You only have red on the board" Stella pointed out. "Yes I'm aware. Thank you" I replied, turning around to look at her. Stella was wrapping red string around her finger. "We were onto something" Stiles said. "Even though they couldn't find any proof of Barrow being there" she informed me. I turned back around to Stella and walked towards her. "Hey Stel." I knelt down in front of her. "You have been right everytime something like this has happened okay. So don't start doubting yourself now" I informed her. "I'm not right Stiles and anytime I am I end up getting hurt. I think I'm the reason for all this trouble" she said as she played with the string on her finger. "Okay, Barrow was there and you know it okay" I started unravelling the string from Stella's finger. "Nothing that happens is your fault Stella okay? Trust me." I said. Stella stared at me. "Okay and look if you wanted to, I would go back to Eichen house take down the dread doctors, and I would go to the school search for Barrow and kill him myself. I would risk my life if it means keeping you safe" I placed the string on the bed. Stella smiled at me. God I was so in love with her smile. I had a green sharpie in my hand. I opened the lid and took Stella's hand. I turned her hand over and placed a small green dot on her hand. "What was that for?" she asked. "You're one mystery I've solved" I informed her. Stella smiled back at me. "Get up" I said. "Why?" she questioned. "I'm taking you out for drink. You need it" I replied. "Stiles we have school tomorrow" Stella replied. I sighed. "Okay but Friday, Friday we are going" I assured her. "Okay" she nodded. "I better get going. My Mom and Chris will probably freak out if I don't get home soon" she laughed. "Let me drive you" I said. "Okay" she smiled.

Myself and Stella went to the jeep. We got inside and I drove her to her house. We sat in the car for a few minutes talking. "Hey if you need anything, or just want a cuddle buddy call me okay? I'll be right over" I said. "Will do. Thanks Stiles" she leaned over and kissed my cheek. "Night" Stella said as she got out of the car. "Goodnight" I replied as I watched Stella get safely into her house. I needed to find a way to tell Stella how I felt. We graduate this year and I don't want to be in college knowing that I didn't tell her how I felt. I have to do it soon.
