27. Magical

It was a quite ride back home.

Navya kept looking at Shubman with a small smile on her face. Shubman didn't know if he had to ask her the reason behind the sudden change, she did not look stressed or worried about the Rishi guy at all. In fact she looked peaceful, calm and composed.

When they reached back home, they saw Ishan sitting on the couch with bowl of popcorn in his hand.

"Uncle, aunty aur di kahi bahar gaye hain" Ishan said looking at the entrance ignoring Shubman who was standing right in front of him.

"Hi Ishan" Navya said entering in.

"Bhabhiii!!!!" he walked up to her. "main tumhare hi liye rukh gaya tha" Ishan said sharing a friendly hug.

"Acha, kuch kaam tha" she asked walking to the couch.

"Bhabhi, vo na ek ladki hain".

"Hmm" she said completely interested in the topic. 

"Ek minute, main bhi hu yaha pe" Shubman interrupted.

"Then join us" she said patting the seat next to her.

"Tum tik ho na" he asked sitting next to her.

"Haa... Mujhe kya hoga"

"Jab call kiya tho itni upset thi, gusse main thi, baat karna chahti thi, fir achanak se itni khush kaise ho gayi? Vo bhi jab humari baat adhuri hi reh gayi" he asked worried. "Aur tho aur isne tumhe bhabhi bulaya.... BHABHIII, tumne ise daata bhi nahi ye ho kya raha hain".

"Ye apna dimag airport pe chod aaya hain" Ishan muttered.

"Bhabhi I guess I need to leave you guys alone" he said politely.

"I would appreciate that" she smiled.

"Navya tumhe... tumhe Rishi pasand aa gaya hain kya?" he asked trying not to sound disappointed.

"Rishta cancel ho gaya hain" she said letting out a small laugh at his question.

"Wow!! That's great. Amazing actually" he grinned clearly showing his excitement.

"Par hua kaise, according to aunty ladka perfect tha" he stated rolling his eyes.

"Tumhari wajah se, sab tumhari wajah se" she said poking his cheeks making his dimples appear.

"Matlab tumhare rumors ne tumhe bacha liya" he sounded genuinely surprised.

"Areee rumors gaye tel lene, bandhe ko rumors se koi farak nahi pada, keh raha tha ki ekhi event main dikhe the ek saath thodi dikte the, he believed there is nothing between us" she explained.

"Photoshoot, restaurant, Dev's wedding, awards, after party - yaha tho ek saath hi the na" he argued.

"Par baat tho sahi hain na, hum friends hi tho hain" her tone clearly reflecting her disappointment.

"Are you disappointed" his hopes all high up waiting for an answer.

"No. No I'm not"

"Main tho bas keh rahi thi ki, jab tum andar aa gaye tab main call karke bataya tha ki Rishi is not for me aur reason itna strong tha ki amma maan gayi" Navya narrated.

"Kaisa reason?" he asked.

"Wo..." Navya looked down searching for the right words.

Navya has been fidgeting about them being 'Just Friends' from quite a while now. Everyone around her told her that they'd make a very good couple but she never agreed, she always told herself that friends usually share a good chemistry.

She always repeated the same answer to everybody's statement or question that they are just good friends. The answer was not really meant for the world but for herself. She felt special round him. But the fact that they belong to two different worlds always made her think them being together was just a dream and she could never admit it to herself.

She believed that for a relationship to work there must be respect, trust and love among the partners, the differences didn't count but she forgot to apply that belief in her own life. Well not until she explained how happy she was around him did she realized that her being scared is just stopping her from experiencing one of the most beautiful feeling and phase of her life.

Navya never wanted to understand what made their bond so special, what made him so special and what made their time spent together so magical. Practically not until she tried to explain Shubman's qualities to her mom.

"Wo na, main ne kaha I'm in LOVE" she finally spoke up.

"Kisse?" Everything in him was hoping to hear his name as her answer.
