Part 2

23:28, 18 April 2023

George woke up after being asleep for 9 hours it was 11:30am. He opened his phone to see a message from Dream. George smiled and opened it.

Hi George just thought I'd thank you again for yesterday you are really fun to hang out with I hope we can meet again some point in the future!

George's smile grew wider as he typed in response

Hey Dream you're really cool to hang out with too I really enjoy your company and I had lots of fun with you yesterday too!

George giggled and got up to eat breakfast. He poured the cereal into the bowl and then the milk grabbed a spoon and tucked in. The morning news show was on nothing different to what George usually sees in the tv during the morning. Eventually George finished his food and headed to his office to make a new video.

George revived a message, it was from dream.

Hey George I have checked and I am definitely free today do you mind me coming over?

George began typing immediately.

Hey dream I would love if you came over I'll send you my address!

Dream was over joyed and almost instantly dashed out of his hotel to visit his friend.

George got dressed and brushed his teeth.

Soon after George finished getting ready, Dream rang the doorbell.

"Dream!" George said as he opened the door to greet him.

"Hey George!" Dream smiled as he entered the threshold. "You have a nice home."

"Oh please the wallpaper is falling to pieces and the carpet is stained, besides this is an old apartment nothing special." George responded with a grin.

"Well I think this home is rather extraordinary if I do say so myself!" Dream giggled.

The two men sat on George's sofa and chatted for what seemed like hours. Dream was speaking about his hobbies which he seemed very passionate about and George listened to his stories in awe. They were laughing and joking, George was happy he had met Dream he felt like he had filled a whole in his heart. Dream felt the same way. They both seemed to just click, it was like they had been friends for years.

"Would you like some tea?" George asked.

"Oh no thanks." Dream said.

They continued to talk about Christmas - it was almost the end of November - they both shared a love for it. The colourful lights (though George is colourblind), the cute decorations, the joy, the presents, the songs. It was an extraordinary time of year for them both.

Hours passed by and it was starting to get dark. George had insisted on driving Dream back to his hotel but dream refused and said he can walk. George didn't understand why, I was so cold outside and it was beginning to snow. He tried again to persuade him, "come one Dream I can take you!"

Dream giggle before responding "it's fine George I can walk, besides I like to see the scenery up close."

"It would be rude of me to let you walk alone" George sighed, "I insist you stay the night, we've been debating for so long that it's now past 10pm"

Dream laughed, "Oh George, I couldn't."

"Why not, I don't see a problem" He responded.

"Are you sure it's not too much hassle?" Dream asked

George giggled "if it was an issue I wouldn't let you stay silly!"

Dream sighed "if you insist, but every night I like to go on a walk would you like to come?"

George nodded. They both put on their winter clothes and got ready to leave George's home. George wore a blue coat with buttons, mittens, hat and scarf all colour coordinated. Dream wore a leather jacket, snow boots, gloves and a hot.

They both left the house and walked towards the town centre. The call breeze brushed past them as they gently strolled through the town. It was the night before December 1st so the shops already had so many Christmas decorations and lights. Dream insisted they'd go window shopping to which George agreed with the idea.

Soon they got to the first shop, George marvelled at the decorations, gifts and lights. He had never been out this late before and it was one of the best experiences he'd ever had he was ecstatic. Dream was also extremely happy, he'd never had someone to walk late at night with. They both were satisfied they could share their euphoria with each other it made them feel complete. The whole mood was uplifting and calming. They were lost in paradise as they strolled through the winter wonderland of shops. Dream enjoyed watching his friend happily glancing at decorations and lights it filled his heart with such joy. Later they had finished looking around the shops and it was close to midnight.

"Wanna go to a nearby coffee shop they do 24hr service and my friend works there" George asked Dream

"Oh sounds nice, sure" he responded.

They both made their way to the coffee shop and gazed around the town centre once more admiring the pretty lights and decorations.

They arrived and sat down at a table sectioned off in the corner. It was dark outside, the streets filled with emptiness. George gestured to the seat beside him and dream sat down.

"Nice place," Dream stated "so, what's on the menu?"

George grabbed the two menu's from the box near the window, "let's have a look" he said, "hm, there's a chocolate cake!"

"Perfect I'll have that!" Dream giggled

"Are you sure? The slice of cake is pretty big I mean it serves two" George replied.

"Oh. Really? In that case we can share!" Dream suggested.

"Are you sure?"

"Of course Georgie" Dream wheezed.

George stared at Dream before replying "Don't call me that-"

"Awe why not Georgie" Dream teased.

He frowned, "please, Dream I mean it"

"Sorry George, I thought you were playing I'm" Dream was cut off

"Heyyyyy, what would you guys like to order?" It was the waitress, George's friend.

"Hey Amy, just a chocolate cake please and a coffee."

"Sure! I will be right out with it" she smiled and proceeded to walk back towards the counter.

"Coffee? You won't be able to sleep tonight!" Dream questioned.

"I will, it's just so I can last until we get back to my house" George explained.

They both sat in the restaurant and talked about some interesting topics that they both wanted to know about. They were both happy that they could talk with ease to each other. Within a few minutes the chirpy girl returned with their order.

"Hey George would you like me to give you and your friend a lift, my shift ends soon!" Amy insisted.

"Are you sure that won't be too much effort? I mean you need to get home too!"

"It's fine George, let me go clean up and run a few last jobs and then you guys can come with me" she said.

"Thanks so much Amy" George smiled as she began to go back to the counter.

Dream looked at George and gestured for him to have the first bit of chocolate cake. George grabbed a fork and took a small piece shovelling it into his mouth. Dream smiled, something about George eating cake was so wholesome to him, maybe it was the sweet smile he had or the light in his eyes as he consumed the sweet cake. George finished chewing and looked over at Dream who was smiling at him.

"Are you ok Dream?" George asked.

"Yeah, you're just really um- wholesome when you're eating- wait no that sounds weird I'm sorry" Dream stuttered.

"You idiot." George giggled. Strangely he didn't mind the compliment it was endearing to him.

Dream buried his face into his palms embarrassed. He soon looked up, George put his hand on his shoulder and laughed.

"Oh Dream it's fine I really don't mind!" George said.

Dream stood up and stared at George looking enraged, Dream had the cake in his hand as he stood up he smashed it into George's face and began wheezing. George's face became red quickly and he grunted. Despite this he took the cake off his face and threw it at Dream in retaliation. Dream started laughing even more his laughter was soon joined by George's laughter. They both looked at each other laughing completely lost in the moment, Dream thought George had the most adorable laugh, and George felt the same about Dreams laugh. They both had contagious laughter it was one of the best moments they both had ever shared with anyone.

After their laughter died down, Dream and George began cleaning up the mess and settled down so George could finish his coffee. Dream stared at George with a smile wiped across his face, he looked at him and had the sudden urge to hug him. This urge remained for a few seconds before Dream quickly wrapped his arms around his friend, George seemed shocked my this, he put down his drink and hugged back leaning into Dreams shoulder. They held their position for about a minute. Dream was on cloud nine he felt like he had succeeded in life, he couldn't ask for anything more he was so happy to have a friend like him.

"I'm not interrupting anything am I?" Amy asked.

George jumped at the sudden voice of Amy, he pulled away from Dreams warm embrace and nervously laughed.

"Not at all!" George explained "Dream are you ready to go?"

Dream nodded in response and the three all left the cafe. They approached the car and entered. Dream and George sat in the backseat while Amy took the steering wheel. The drove off towards George's home and within minutes arrived.

"Again thank you so much Amy!" George said.

"Oh it's nothing" she smiled and drove off.

They both made their way into the house and George went to the sofa, Dream soon followed after him and sat beside him. They took their coats off and placed them on the table. George turned the tv on. Dream decided that he was going to test the water again and put his arm around George, George turned his head and smiled at Dream before hugging him. They both stayed in the same position as the watched the TV. An hour passed and George had fallen asleep. Dream didn't want to wake him up but he also didn't want George to be uncomfortable so he considered trying to carry him. He soon decided that he would carry him to his bed. After just a few seconds Dream had successfully carried the brunette to his bed and placed him gently on the mattress. Dream started to make his way to the couch to sleep when he heard a murmur from behind him.

"What's that George?" He whispered.

"Sleep here with me." He murmured in response.

Dream stepped closed and shared him a look to confirm he was ok with it. George gave him a nod in return.

"I don't have pyjamas here though." Dream said.

George murmured again "I have some hoodies in my closed the are too big for me you can borrow them I'm sure you're tall enough to fit in them"

Dream nodded and made his way to the bathroom to change. He soon returned wearing his sweat pants and George's hoodie. He placed the small pile of his own clothes on the end of the bed and got in next to George. He got comfortable and turned around facing George who got closer to embrace Dream once again they cuddled soon falling asleep in each other's arms.

Dream woke up early next morning and realised George was still asleep lying on his chest. Dream smiled and stroked his hair while his other arm held George tightly. Dream was beyond happy he was unable to stop smiling. He didn't want this to end every breath was like heaven.

George soon woke up, Dream hadn't noticed yet and continued stroking George's hair. George noticed what Dream was doing and let him continue. Dream looked at George who was looking back up at him. Their faces were so closed and their lips were so close to each other. They stared into each other's eyes and George closed him eyes as if he were just about to kissed Dream who soon did the same. They leant in. Dreams phone started ringing. They both quickly opened their eyes an jolted away from each other.

"Sorry mind if I take this call?" He asked.

"I don't mind at all!" George smiled.
