Part 1

23:31, 18 April 2023

George had just finished completing editing one of his videos - he uploaded it and checked the time, 6:23pm. He still had plenty of time for his daily walk in the park which lasted until 9pm while he waited for his video to upload.

The brunette man finished writing his description and title, finally uploading his video - George checked the time again - it was 6:47pm. 'That's enough time' he thought to himself, as he got up from his chair. He walked downstairs and put on his coat, socks and shoes.

Opening the door he checked the time once more - 6:48.He stepped outside, looked up to the sky it was sunset, the sky looked beautiful. He embraced the fresh autumn breeze as it gently wiped past his face. George loved autumn, it was his favourite season. He walked out of his front gate and escorted himself to the park where he would take his nightly strolls.

Everything was perfect, everything was quiet, calm. George felt at ease now he was outside after being stuck in his house all day. He sighed a breath of relief as he let go of the stress he had been dealing with.

Eventually he had arrived to the park, the path stretched on for longer then George's eyes could see. —————————————An hour later George comes across a hill, he decides to walk up it since he'd never gone that way before - he would always take the path.

Upon approaching the top of the hill, George spots a fairly tall man laying down looking at the sky, the man had: blonde hair, green eyes, freckles, a blueish coat, jeans, and a very seemingly friendly face. George finished walking to the top of the hill and edged closer to the man, peering over him, "hi sir" he said.

The man sat up and with a warm smile replied, "hello!"

"A bit cold here" George said, trying to make small talk.

"Not really," the rather friendly man said, "so what's your name?"

"George"

"Clay" he said in response "names Clay"

George sad down beside him, continuing their conversation. "What were you doing here if you don't mind me asking?"

"Stargazing"

"Stargazing?"

"Yes, stargazing" Clay smiled and laid back down to stare at the sky once moreGeorge soon did the same.

"I like to study stars in my free time" Clay said to break the silence.

George replied, "I don't really have free time nowadays, apart from when I have my nightly walk in the park"

Clay looked over at George, "you should maybe try studying stars sometime it's very interesting y'know"

"Oh really?" George said "what's your favourite type of star?"

"That's quite hard to answer I don't know" Clay responded.

Silence.

"Dream"

"Huh?"

"Dream, the nickname everyone calls me" said Clay

"Why dream?" He eventually answered a bit puzzled.

"It's a long story, I'll explain it"

Minutes turned into hours, they lost track of time.

"That's actually quite an interesting story, Dream." George said

Dream retrieved his phone from his coat pocket and checked the time "oh shit! It's already almost 10pm"

"I should really head home now" George exclaimed.

He got up and lowered his hand to help Dream up, "we should hangout again sometime" George insisted.

"Of course" Dream replied "will you be able to get home safe?"

George nodded. They both said their goodbyes and exchanged contact info. George turned away and started walking down the hillside. Every few paces looking back.——————————————George returned home. It was 10:39 pm, he was tired and he started to yawn, eventually he had gotten into his pyjamas and gotten into bed.

He couldn't sleep, he tossed and turned, he couldn't stop thinking about the past few hours he'd just spent with the random man atop of a hill stargazing not having a care in the world just relaxing and talking about meaningless subjects to someone who knew nothing about him. The feeling was comforting, knowing he was now friends with someone who he can talk to hours on end about different things with out having to worry about time or anything really. George felt happy to have met Dream, he was such a nice person and had the most comforting energy. Eventually George drifted off to sleep in his own world of thoughts.———————————————Dream returned home.He was exhausted.

After about 20 minutes or so, Dream was in bed with 100 thoughts running though his mind. Number 1 was George. Yes, George. Dream closed his eyes as he thought about the hill and George and the stars, he felt happy, nobody really spoke to him in that way, he felt special. He felt like he had met the perfect friend for him. Someone to take him away from reality for a bit, someone who wanted listen to what he had to say, someone who cared about his hobbies. Dream closed his eyes and fell asleep alongside the calm silence that traveled around his house.

———————————————

Clay woke up to his alarm blaring into his ear. Soon after he sat up and opened his phone to go through Twitter. He paused. George had texted him, Dream felt a warm feeling as he saw George's notification pop up onto his screen.

"Hey it's me George, I don't know if you remember me. We met at the park yesterday and we stargazed."

He let out a small giggle before replying to him"Yes I remember you, George. You are very cool maybe we could go out sometime for a coffee and I can tell you about my hobbies!"

It wasn't even 10 seconds before George replied with "Oh, sure! Maybe today? I am free today, so it would be nice to see you again!"

"I'm also free, let's meet at the Starbucks near the park we were at yesterday."

"Bet. I'll cya there"————————————————George was thrilled, not only had he made a new friend but he was willing to talk to him, this made the brunette happy he had a friend!"Ok, I have my keys, my wallet... what else...OH SHIT, almost forgot my phone!"George rushed out the house, making sure to lock his door behind him of course, and walked with haste to the Starbucks near his favourite park. He thought about Clay and the possibilities this day had, he entered the Starbucks bringing a trail of joy with him, his eyes darted the room and he soon fixed his eyes onto Dream, the tall, freckled, dirty blonde man who sat at the table in the corner of the cafe. George walked over and sat beside him.

"George! You made it!"

"Of course, I couldn't turn down such a nice offer." George responded, "so, do you come he often?"

The blond man chuckled before responding "no silly, can you not tell by my accent that I'm American? I'm here for a few weeks to catch a break from... my hobbies, I come from Florida."

"O-oh" George flushed red with slight embarrassment, "well I'm from here, London."

He let out a small laugh "so what's this 'hobby' of yours?" George asked with a curious grin.

"Well you see...gosh this is kind of embarrassing to say,"

"Go on." George said

"I'm a YouTuber." Clay felt embarrassed and scratched the back of his neck.

"Sweet!" George eventually muttered to break the painful silence, "I'm a YouTuber myself actually"

Clay looked at the man and smiled, "I bet I'm better at it then you."

"Probably are!" George chuckled accepting defeat, "so, let's get something to drink..."

——————————————————

"You're such and idiot" George teased.

They both chuckled. The men both seemed like they had known each other since they could remember. George enjoyed the mans company he felt like he had met someone who cared about him. Dream felt them same way, he wanted his friendship with George to last forever. George stared at the blonde and smiled he had never felt more happy to have a friend until now.

"Take a picture it will last longer!" Dream teased noticing that George had been staring at him.

"Sorry!" George spluttered. He was flustered and felt embarrassed for staring at him.

"It's fine I'm teasing you." Dream said with a wheeze.

"You're such an idiot" George responded laughing a little.

Minutes turned into hours as the two men laughed and joked. They felt a real connection and their friendship already had a strong bond.

Dream received a notification on his phone, "one second George," dream said "SHIT!" He exclaimed after a moment of silence. "I was supposed to help my sister pick her wedding dress today!"

"I'm so sorry Dream, where is it I can drive you there!" George insisted

"No it's fine George I'll get there myself." Dream replied

George felt really guilty for letting this happen even if he didn't know Dream had somewhere to be.

"Thank you for today George it was really fun! I'll hang out with you another time maybe." Dream said before getting up to leave.

"Yes thanks to you too Dream I really had a fun time today!" George responded.

They both exchanged a smile before Dream took his leave.

————————————————

George finally returned home. He put away his coat and shoes and went upstairs. He located his bed and collapsed onto it. He sighed as he checked the time.

6:37pm

He sighed again and went to the freezer and got out a ready made frozen meal and put it into the microwave.
