I lay in bed, holding my pillow.The sun has been out for awhile but I haven't moved.

Its starting to set now.

I haven't done this in ages.Stay in bed like this.

The door creaks open, the familiar footsteps heading toward the bed."Love?"

I don't have the energy to move.

"Mm?"

He leans down, kissing my ear."Are you hungry?"

"Mm-mm."

"Is this where you plan to stay all day?"

"..mhm."

He sighs.

There's silence for a while.

"Okay. I love you."

Say it back.Say it back.Say it back.

I guess I take to long.

He leans down again, kissing my forehead this time.

"I'll come check on you before dinner."

His footsteps head toward the door.

"I love you too."

I stir, Als hands around my waist.

The moon now out.

I lay still for a while before deciding to slip out of his arms, walking out to the balcony.

I look down, watching the never asleep city.

It's not as quiet as my castle.Or as lonely.

I see a light on, liliths light.

Climbing over the rail I fly down to her balcony, landing quietly before I knock.

She steps toward the doors, cracking it."Luci-..?"

"Can I come in..?"

She hesitates, but moves out the way, opening the door more.

I step in, looking around the lilith-fied room.

"What are you doing here, lucifer?"

"I wanna know more."

"What?"

"Did I do something to make you feel like you couldn't tell me something like that..?"

She freezes for a moment.

"N-no. It wasn't you. Not at all. Please don't put that into your head." She steps closer, hugging me. "You were my first REAL love. I should've told you. I think I just psyched myself out and regretted the choice I made deeply. I wasn't allowed to take my phone with me to heaven. I left it. I'm sorry I didn't say anything at all. I'm sorry I left you both."

"Why would take adam up on his offer?"

"I don't know. In the moment kind of thing.." She lets go of me. "But you aren't the problem. I know that's the way you saw it."

She walks toward a cabinet, pulling out a bottle of whiskey.

"Do you want the whole truth?"

"Why would I be here if I didn't."

She hands me a glass, taking a seat at the little table.

Silence stirring the room an awkward setting.

"I wasn't happy. It wasn't your fault. But I didn't feel happy anymore. And then I was out during an extermination..I met her.." she looks down. "She consumed my mind for years..all I saw was her face and she had taken over me like some kind of storm.."

I stay silent.

"I think he could tell I was distracted. Unhappy. Maybe he took advantage of it. I didn't care. When he offered I didn't even think about anything except finding her. And then I got there, I did find her. But I realized I had no way to talk to charlie and I was trapped up there. With Adam."

"By then you already had ahold of Alastors soul."

"And I brought a few of my souls up there because adam lives like an absolute animal. I was only toying with Adam. To get closer to Lailah."

"And then?"

"I was going to send Alastor down here to check on charlie but adam had stepped in, probably was suspicious, so I had no choice but to make up a lie. Adam ate it up, Alastor had that little "kill me or I may kill you" glint in his eyes. And that was that. I started hearing about her hotel, which pissed adam off."

"Where is lailah in all of this."

"We had been friends at this point."

"Oh."

"I helped her train, she didn't believe it was right either and was even more upset when adam put her on the team thatd be going against charlie."

She sips her whiskey, silence no longer awkward but pained.

"She wound up a bit hurt and I helped her. And then we kissed. That night I was sitting on the beach and Lute came up to me."

"And thats when she sent you down?"

She nods.
