I hold lucifer closer, swaying to the music with him.

I need to tell Charlotte about the drama with heaven. Get his mind off one thing.

Lilith won't be happy once she sees that I am legally married to her ex husband.Especially with how close I'm getting to him.

She might even kill me. But for him thats a risk I'm willing to take.

There's a knock on the door, breaking our silence.

"Al? Could I come in?" Charlie asks through the door.

Lucifer lets go, his head that was on my chest now slouched as he looks down.

He's tired.

"I suggest you teleport off or she's going to see you."

I walk toward the door, opening it for her.

"What's the matter, Charlotte?"

"Nothing. Just bored.- hi dad-?"

I turn, Lucifer still standing where I left him.

"Hi charlie." He mumbles, wrapping his arms around me, resting his head against my back now.

"Uhm.."

"I'm to tired to come up with an excuse for this.."

"Dear go lay down.." I turn toward him. "You clearly need it."

"Come with me.."

Charlie watches us, confused, probably thinking she's crazy.

"I'm sorry Charlotte, it seems I have to join your father in bed."

"..don't word it like that.." he looks up at me.

"That's literally how you say it every single time you bring it up."

"She doesn't need to know that!"

"..uh guys.."

Lucifer plops his head back into my chest.

"The shortest way I can explain this would probably be telling you husker owes a lot of people things."

"Oh fuck.." charlie whispers. "Wait does he owe cherri free drinks.."

"I don't feel I should answer that one."

"..leaving.." she turns around, walking toward the door. "Weirdos.."

And she's off.

"You are weird." Lucifer mumbles.

"Oh shut up, come on, time for bed."

He whines, not moving.

"Seriously.."

"Tired.."

"I understand that, love, but if you don't walk to your bed you can't go to sleep."

"Do you wanna bet?"
