TWELVE

HAILEY AND WALKER were sitting at the table practicing their lines, stressing out over everything happening in the hotel room.

"Well, it's so good to see you, did you grow up or did I shrink?" Hailey said in character.

"Tanner, get off the bed!" Walker yelled, then replying in character, "Grew up, I think. We both did, you look..."

"Laci, get on somewhere! We'll get McDonalds later," Hailey groaned. "I look what?"

"Well, you definitely grew into your looks." Walker smiled, reading the lines and following the stage lines.

"Are you guys even acting?" Leena smiled as she walked past, making Hailey sigh and stand up.

"When me and Walker get fired, it'll be your guys' faults!" Hailey yelled, grabbing Walkers wrist and dragging him out of the hotel room.

"Where are we going?" Walker asked.

"To that Chick-fil-A down the street, come on." Hailey said, dragging him to the elevator.

"Oh, okay." Walker said, closing up the stapled paper book with his lines on it.

"Gosh, they're all annoying." Hailey groaned, pressing the button for the lobby.

"For real, I mean, Tanner was literally jumping on the bed?" Walker added.

"We've been practicing and have two pages mastered, I mean, it's torture in there." Hailey frowned.

"Dakota is the only helpful one when he helps with lines and he's sleeping soundly on the bed Tanner was jumping on, but still. Tanner, Leena, and Laci are all obnoxious." Walker explained how annoyed he was, but giving Dakota some credit.

"We start filming so soon and we're gonna have to practice our lines on the set. I mean, you get first scene, too." Hailey said.

"Yeah, I'm literally the first person to talk since I accidentally signed up for, like, one of the main-main characters." Walker complained, walking out of the elevator after it stopped.

"I come later on, hah." Hailey chuckled.

"Cause my family is the family that's going to meet your family since our parents were friends when they were younger and then we're supposed to fall inlove and shit, it's so annoying." Walker said the whole plot, walking out of the front door of the hotel.

"Am I really that annoying?" Hailey raised her brows, jogging to catch up with him while he speed-walks.

"No." Walker said, looking down at the shorter girl next to him.

"The plot is kind of good. It's like... what is it? I don't know, the summer setting and families connecting because of their past together reminds me of Grown Ups." Hailey said her thoughts, pulling her sock up as she hopped on one leg.

"That should be our movie tonight, Grown Ups. Best childhood movie ever." Walkers mood lightened at the mention.

"Doesn't take much to cheer you up, huh?" Hailey said as she pulled up the other sock, then walking with both legs.

"Your face cheers me up, Hails." Walker grinned, looking down at her once again.

"Awh." Hailey smiled, standing at the spot where you have to cross the road.

"How sweet am I, guys?" Walker said, the proudness on his face being extremely visible.

"So sweet, buddy. Come on, let's go." Hailey said, walking across the road after the cars stopped. They made it to the Chick-fil-A, practicing their lines there and getting some food.

"JEEZ, THE CELEBRITYS really like you." Walker commented as he looked over Hailey's shoulder while she replied to comments.

"Celebs I know. Dylan and I have known each other for a while, we've been planning to meet but both have jobs, and I know Finn and Sunny, also Mo from you and I love her, then Mason and I met at The Black Phone premiere when I went. He's so sweet." Hailey explained, shrugging it off.

"Mason is a good actor, too." Walker added, nodding along as Hailey liked more comments and replying to some.

"Yeah, he's so cool. Like, I wish me and him were actually really close, he seems super cool. He gives me, like, brother vibes or some shit. Sounds corny, though." Hailey said, turning her phone on do not disturb and putting it in her pocket.

"You're just corny in general." Walker smiled, kicking a rock on the sidewalk.

"Shut up, gosh." Hailey sighed, taking out her airpods.

"Sorry, baby." Walker mocked, putting his arm around Hailey's shoulders.

"I'm not a baby, though." Hailey tilted her head.

"Awh, you're denying it. How sweet." Walker said, bringing her closer and hugging her.

"I'm not a baby." Hailey chuckled, grabbing Walkers waist to try and push him away.

"You're my baby." Walker said and laughed out loud. Hailey moved her body infront of Walker and he bumped into her as he walked.

"Walker William Scobell." Hailey said with a threatening tone in her voice.

"I'm sorry, you're not a baby." Walker frowned, making his face seem less joking.

Hailey stared up at him, the eye contact getting harder to hold while Hailey tried to be intimidating. Walker grabbed her waist, bringing her into a hug.

"Hi, baby." Walker chuckled. Hailey smacked him in the back of his head, making one of his hands leave her waist and then go up to the spot Hailey hit.

"No more hugs, buddy." Hailey pushed him off but his firm grip stayed on.

"No, I'm sorry." Walker pleaded, bringing her close again and hugging her.

"We look like a cringe couple right now." Hailey said, smirking at the way Walkers face dropped.

"Wait, what?" Walker said and pushed Hailey off him. "Like those weird couples on TikTok?"

"Yeah, that's what we look like." Hailey grinned.

"Come on, let's go back to the hotel room." Walker said and grabbed Hailey's wrist, pulling her along quickly.
