Chapter 13
10:45, 7 September 2016Sorry about the wait. :)
Finally. Our wedding day. I was so excited, I couldn't sleep last night. It also didn't help that Jared and I were both heavy traditionalists. We agreed that we weren't going to see each other before the wedding. We were in Texas for the wedding and I was so happy. Jared's family brought me in like I was one of them. I loved all of them. Our wedding party was pretty small, but it was filled with people who we loved. No matter what, he and I had both agreed that this wedding was for family and close friends. I was getting ready, when there was a knock at the door. "Come in!" I shouted.
The door opened and Jensen was standing there grinning. "What?" I asked him."Nothing, I am just so happy for you and Jared. Also I'm here because I knew you didn't have anyone to walk you down the aisle, and I wanted to. May I?" he asked."Aren't you one of Jared's groomsmen?" I asked."Yeah, but I okayed it with him, and I don't mind standing last in the line up," he explained."Well then of course," I smiled at him.He held out a bent arm and I linked it with his and we walked out toward the ceremony space. As we walked I was thinking about Jared and how excited I was to spend the rest of our lives together. Finally we reached the space where everyone, minus Jared was waiting, and we waited for the music. Finally I heard it and took a deep breath. Everyone walked and I looked up at Jensen and I grinned. We began our slow walk toward the aisle and when I reached the end of it, and saw Jared standing at the altar, I immediately started crying. Everyone stood up and watched me walk, and I was latched into Jared and he was crying too. Finally when we reached the end, Jensen wrapped me in his arms, and whispered, "Go get him, girl."I smiled and took my place at the altar, opposite him. When I looked into his eyes, I got lost, so lost in fact that I didn't even hear the priest start to talk. The only reason I didn't miss anything is Jared grabbed my hand and it pulled me from my revere. I heard the priest say, "So each of you has written their own vows, so who would like to go first?"Jared volunteered, and he pulled a sheet of paper from his pocket. "Kylie, the moment I met you, I knew you were special. You looked so adorably frazzled in that Starbucks, and I was convinced I had been sent their by fate, to meet you. Then we ended up living together and I can't believe how lucky I am to have you as my wife. You are the strongest person I know, and I am so proud of you for continuing to fight. I love you my sweet and I am so excited to share a life together."
I was crying from his vows, and the priest nodded at me and I began mine. "Jared, you have no idea how much it meant to me when you come to my room that night. My whole life has been a struggle, and with you I seem to forget about my troubles and the fight I have had," I reached into the pocket of my dress— yes it has pockets— and pulled out a couple of bills and change, "So, I told you that day in Starbucks that I would eventually pay you back, so here I am, paying you back. I love you, babe, and am so thrilled that you are all mine." With that, I placed the money into his jacket pocket and grinned. He grinned back and we exchanged rings and kissed. We were officially married and I was so excited.
