Chapter 2

Athy's P. O. V..

I was having fun until now.. He is standing there.. My so called father .. Staring at with eyes full of hatred.. No athy... It's ok.. He is always like this.. Some People won't change... Just ignore him...

His cold gaze while I was executed flashed  before my eyes... Yeah you hated me to the end.. I am Sick and tired of trying.. I tried all sort of things.. Worked hard to study.. To dance... to learn etiquette.. You never bothered to even look at me.

You shouldn't feel sad athy..lets find a way to save lily and felix  first... And then escape from this  Palace... When I was trying hard to forget those awful memories I felt someone standing behind me and turned back...

I blinked few times to make sure I am not hallucinating..a  tall guy with black hair and red eyes is standing before staring at me with a blank face..

If  I said he is handsome.. It's an understatement.. He is not only handsome.. There is something about him which make him  more attractive...but who is he..?

" who are you Mr..?" I asked and he  smirked..

" me..?  someone  interested in you.. "  he said with a smirk

"I see.. I am not interested in you.. Bye then.."

I said and turned back..  My body  turned back  itself and got  pulled towards him.. What is this..?!!

Magic..?! A magician.?!!   He leaned closer and stared at me straight in my eyes ...

"hmm.. As I thought... It's you.." 

he mumbled..staring straight at my eyes... His eyes are so beautiful.. His long eyelashes and that beauty mark under his eye he is so pretty to be a guy..

" what..? Are you crazy..? Leave me .."

I said trying to move  my body and he I finally did ...he is handsome but crazy.. Looking at his dress he must be some Nobel guy but I don't remember seeing him before.. I turned back and walked away from him... He stood there staring at me with that annoying smirk...

Lucas. P. O. V.

She is more beautiful looking close. No wonder that  jerk was head over heels for her.. I will admit.. she is the most beautiful girl I have  ever seen

Her eyes..  hold such a pure mana.. how come her body doesn't show it out..? Other than me and my master no one can tell she have that much mana

I went back to  the palace and her father is also handsome.. No one would believe that he have a big daughter... His mana is a mess.. I can clearly saw something hiding his full  mana capacity ..if it's black magic.. That's a big headache.. Treating the emperor of this nation.. Haah..

" greetings your majesty" I said and he stared at me with a bored face.. Feelings mutual you young looking Oldman

" you want to make this brat your substitute..?" he asked and my master said yes.

"  why..? You doubt him..?" my old man asked in a cocky tone..

" nope.. We can clearly see that crazy amount of mana coming out of him..." he said

" so.. You want to work here..? You don't seem to be interested. "he asked me..

" well.. I am not interested in working... But I have to... "I shrugged and my master rolled his eyes. That blonde old man stared at me and smirked.

" you are  interesting .. "he mumbled

" Thank you..? "I said in doubtful tone.. I can't understand whether he is being sincere or playful..i can't believe there is a face which is more expressionless than mine... I think I am better now..

"  don't mind him.. This brat doesn't obey anyone... I aged soon raising him.."

"or else would  you have been younger..?  You still have hundreds of years though" I said and he pinched my arm..

"then I will get going.. Lucas.. Be serious.. Don't talk like this in presence of other  nobles." he nagged at me  until he faded in air

" so sir magician.."

"Mr. Knight.. You can  just call me lucas" I said and that red haired man smiled.. What a polar opposite friends they are...?!

" then you can also call me felix... Let's go.."

he said as we walked out.. I bowed to him with a bored face and he scoffed as he gestured his hand to go out.

" so lucas.. What made you come to the hall late..?" felix asked smiling...

" I saw princess athanasia... I wanted to be friends with her but she ran away" I shrugged and he stared at me surprised.

" you want to befriend not jennete but our athy...?!!" he asked surprised..

"what's there to be surprised..?and why should I befriend that idiotic  princess..?" I asked and he stared at me amused

"haha.. Right..? You are smart.. No wonder you are  the  magician of black tower.. Our athy is a neglected princess..it's my first time hearing someone voluntarily wants to befriend her...what do you like about her...? " he asked smiling ..

"   She is intresting.. I usually found girls annoying but she isn't "I said and he chuckled..

"i think you are interesting too.." he said..

"this is the Royal tower.. From now on.. You are responsible for this whole tower... Don't worry.. your master said you hate overworking.. There are so many assistants for you..." felix said..

"looking at its size.. You guys are not only  managing  the obelia tower   I guess" I mumbled as we entered

" you know about  Obelia 's magic army right..? Our combat magicians are powerful and famous  .. Since you are the head, you will be their commander in chief I was surprised to know you are the owner of  black storm.. Everyone would be shocked if they saw you swing  it. .." he said smiling  

"this feels like too much work.." I said and he giggled..

He introduced me to all the magicians gathered in the meeting hall.. I can see everyone  staring at me like I am some zoo animal.. We don't allow anyone to enter black tower.. So it's like a rare sight for them... Felix nudged me to talk..

" hello everyone.. I am lucas cassius  skyler.. Just call me lucas, no other cliché names.. I just want everyone to do their work properly.. If you have any doubts, You can come to my office anytime .. Now go back and work..."

I said and walked out.. I heard murmuring sounds in the hall..

" lucas.. These four will be your assistants " felix said as we walked to my  office

" hello sir..

"I told you to call me lucas.. We seems to be the same age" I said and he nodded a yes.. He is smiling so bright..

" hello lucas I am cabel weiner"

"hii cabel.. You be my main assistant" I said and others gasped.

" what about you three..?"

" hello lucas ..i am Nigel.."

"Hello lucas.. I am Rei.."

"Hello lucas hyung.. I am leo." they said..

" are you the maknae (youngest) here..?" I asked and leo Nodded a yes

" let's go..." I said and they followed  me..

"cabel.. From Now on just wear the robe only .. I don't want everyone looking  The same like eye sores"

I said and they nodded a cheerful yes.. They must have hated this uniform..

. . . " athy aren't you excited to start your lessons..? The break is almost over.." lily said as she combed my hair

Yeah.. This is when I started grabbing everyone's attention  and jennete also started her plan.. She hated the fact I am better than her at almost everything I think  .. she and her friends started making me look like a villainess in public and that's how it ended in my execution...

The first phase  in her plan is the magic class.. That's the first time I went out of the study hall to other buildings like  the magic tower to study..

"athy dear.. I bought  you chocolate cake from your favourite bakery .." I heard felix 's voice and smiled bright..

" hii lily.." he said with a Shy smile..

They have crush on each other for a long time but too shy to confess ..  I should make lily marry felix and send them to felix' s dukedome  before escaping.. I don't want them to die again for me..

"athy your face don't Look good are you OK..?" lily asked with a concerned face..

" it's nothing lily.." I said smiling..

"here eat your cake." felix said feeding me the chocolate cake..

" felix.. Who is that  handsome boy you are talking to this morning..? He talked to you too right athy.? " lily asked.

That red eyes guy.?

" ohh.. Lucas..?" felix said smiling

His name is lucas.? That's a nice name..

" he is the next heir  of black tower.. "felix said and we gasped...

Black tower... The legendary tower which no one can enter but exist for centuries.. The wizards of that tower are the most powerful of  the wizards.. He is that powerful..?!!

" wait.. So he will be my teacher..? " I asked and felix nodded a yes.  This is strange..!!

the teacher of me in the past is an old man who is the friend of alpheus family.. He was the one who is appointed the next day the grand wizard left the tower.. This lucas guy may not be the ally of alpheus family but he is also a crazy jerk.. Haah.. I sighed in frustration...

The next day lily was so happy that my classes started.. In the past I was also excited.. But now I know what gonna happen so I am not ..

"athy this dress would look good on you "

(her outfit)

lily said with  a bright smile.. I should look lively for lily's sake.. I got  ready and went out to see jennete smiling  at me sitting on the carriage.. Her smile feels so irritating..

" felix..i don't want to ride the same carriage  as hers.."i whispered and he winked at me..

" then let's go on this.. " he said as he took me to the tower in his own carriage..

" thanks felix..i didn't wanted to ride with her " I said and he stared at me with a doubtful face

" you know.. you changed so much now .. You avoided claude that day which is a big surprise.. Then you talked stern to jennete and shooed her  out of the  Ruby palace..what happened to you ..? " he asked confused

" I am so tired  felix.. I am tired of dealing with them.. I decided to  give up on everything .. Father.. Family... Getting recognition.. Anything related to these palace "I said and he looked sad

" don't worry... I have you and lily.. That's all I want... I am gonna do whatever I want and it would be good if I can leave  this palace.. "

" you know it's not possible.. The crown princess isn't decided yet.. If that's  not you I will gladly take you to my house.. But I wish you to be the crown princess.."felix  said and smiled...

First I have to survive till that date .. We reached the Tower and I saw jennete entering with a huge scene with her four knights.. But they are stopped at the entrance.. Strange..her knights  never left her side in the past

" haha.. That's lucas for you.." felix giggled and I looked up at him

" he ordered not to allow even a single additional  soul into the tower.. So, even I can't come inside without any purpose .. Bye athy... All the best on your first day"

felix said patting my head.. I entered first  ignoring her making a scene

" are.. Are you princess..

A guy with blue hair and pink eyes stuttered blushing...

" Athanasia.. " I said and he suddenly bowed..

" sorry.. I have never seen you before that's why  "he said.

" it's ok.. Why are you panicking..? "I asked and he stared at  me surprised.

" can you tell me where my class is..? "I asked and he nodded a big yes..

" come with me your highness. I will take you there " he said and smiled... He seems way younger than me.

" you can just call me by my name.. "I said and he smiled.

" OK.. I will call you Athanasia unnie.. Only when it's the two of us.. "he said with a cute smile ..

" OK... But athy unnie would be better "I said and he giggled

" OK. Athy unnie.. I am Leo one of lucas hyung's assistant it's my pleasure meeting you.. "

he said smiling bright... Huh.. Lucas hyung.? May be he also don't like Honorifics .. He sure is strange..

" nice to meet you too leo "I said and he blushed. Pfft.. Cute..

Then everyone on the way greeted me.. Their  stares on me feels strange .. In the past due to jennete's grand entry no one even know I entered...

" hello princess athanasia... It's our Pleasure to have you in our tower.. I am  the main assistant cabel weiner.. This is rei.. This is Nigel.. And you already know him right..?"

he said and  I greeted them back..

"ahem.." we turned to see jennete standing there staring at us.. She finally decided to  enter alone huh..she was about to say something but I entered first totally ignoring her.

I saw them talking to her and I  looked around..wow!! this tower is awesome..!! I never had the chance to leisurely see this..

" athy unnie.. Let's go.. Your class is that way" 

leo said and I followed him.. The classroom changed..? It's two desks at the corner inside  the master room..?!! Do I have to study here..?!! Isn't this place have to be too silent..? And more than that.. Lucas would be here...
