It was a matter of excitement for her. Two days after the wait, she might be in Ravi's arms, swaying her body in sync with him. The fact that she was travelling, knowing all too well that she would be meeting up with Ravi. It made the trip all the more better. One of her advertisement proposers had organized a ball, inviting her friends and family. She felt more than obliged to attend it.

"It's just a matter of two days." She comforted herself.

Just as she was going to leave her hotel room, her phone rang. It was Ravi. Her heart skipped a beat. It had been just a few hours since they had talked, but it felt like an eternity. Her fingers reached for the phone and swiped on the green button automatically.

"Hey, Sarge." he said, and Pip immediately felt a wave of warmth crashing down on her. She was so immersed in his soothing deep voice that she forgot to reply.

"Sarge? Hello? Are you here?" his voice snapped her back to the present in an instant.

"Oh, yes, hi. Sorry," she said, feeling a slight bit of embarrassment.

"Hmm, I see. I can just imagine you getting lost in my voice, don't you think? Well, I am a spectacular boyfriend, and just so mightily handsome." Pip could feel herself blush but forced herself to stop.

"Yeah, as if." she rolled her eyes. She could just feel the smirk on Ravi's face.

"Well, I called to check on my traveller girlfriend before she leaves for London, but she seems to be unexpectedly hurried."

"I was just about to leave, you know? But please, Mr. Ravishing, do continue your conversation with me otherwise I could end up extremely bored." Pip grabbed her suitcase and her hotel room key card, hurriedly stumbling out of the room. Locking the gate, she heard Ravi speak up again.

"Oh definitely. That's my job, anyway. So, trouble, did you think of what you're going to wear to the ball? You know I exist as well, don't you?" She quickly paced down the flight of stairs to the lobby. "I can only buy my clothes when you tell me what you'll wear."

As she checked out and entered the taxi, she said, "I'm not really sure what to wear, but I was contemplating between an emerald green and a silver ball gown. What do you think?"

"I think, and I know, that you'll look stunning no matter what you wear. That just makes us the perfect match, a devilishly handsome guy, and a shimmering gorgeous girl. Either way, it's your choice to make. Just hurry and tell me because I have clothes to buy." Pip chuckled.

"Yeah, I definitely will. I'll tell you after-"

"Hey, Pip. I've got to go. Mom's been nagging me to go work in the garden. Call me before your plane takes off, and send me the flight details immediately, okay? I love you." he said.

"Will do. Love you too."

Minutes passed by quickly, and before she knew it, she was at the airport. This is it. One more step closer to the night of the ball.
