My mind wouldn't stop racing for the rest of the day. As I made my rounds, ate dinner alone, and now being in bed with nothing else to do but think, it wasn't much of a surprise. I hated the thoughts that wouldn't leave me. I didn't believe I could hate Voldemort more, but now that I know...

I can't even think about it without feeling like I'm going to hurl.

I tried reading but I couldn't focus, tried sleeping but couldn't relax for long enough to drift off. So I sat by the fire and watched the flames, trying my best to make my mind go blank.

"You still up?" I heard a voice quietly from the slightly cracked door. I turned to see Draco smiling at me.

"Draco" I muttered, standing quickly and running over to him. I engulfed him in a tight hug and tucked my head into his shoulder.

"Did you miss me?" Draco asked somewhat sarcastically. "That's a bit embarrassing love" I pulled away from him and smacked him lightly.

"You didn't miss me?" I asked crossing my arms. He shrugged, giving me a smug look. I rolled my eyes and started back towards the fireplace, when I was quickly grabbed on the wrist and spun around. Draco's arms were soon wrapped around my waist and pulling me closer.

"Course I missed you" he leaned down and gave me a soft kiss. When we pulled away we were still inches apart, enjoying each other's presence.

"How was your trip home?" I asked him pulling away a bit more. He rolled his eyes and put his bag down before walking over to fall onto the bed. "That good huh?" I joked.

"Meeting after meeting." He muttered under his breath. I went to join him on the bed. Laying down on my side, propped on my elbow so I could look down at him as he laid there. He opened his eyes and looked at me softly. "Happy to be back for now" he smiled.

"For now?" I asked.

"I guess I'll have to be going back more.. tensions are building. Voldemort is getting worried about Potter." I nodded. Not really wanting to talk about it but also knowing the next question out of his mouth.

"How was your talk with your mum?" He turned to face me more and started lightly running his hand up and down my arm.

"It was.... interesting" I said softly.

"I can imagine"

"Yeah well hearing your mom was taken advantage of by the most evil wizard of all time and that he might be your father is a lot to process." I sighed.

"Taken advantage of?" I nodded. There was a silence. It's always a comfortable silence with him, no matter the topic of conversation.

"I'm still ... processing." I gave a small smile. "Just glad you didn't go running for the hills when you found out" I let out a laugh.

"I thought about it." He joked.

"Did you really?" I looked at him trying to hide the fear in my eyes.

"No, but it was terrifying at first. I mean, Voldemort is not the kind of person you want to get the father talk from"

"Father talk?" I giggled.

"You know the 'you better take care of her' talk, but with him you also add in 'if you don't do as I say I'll kill her and make you watch' talk" he said turning to look back at the ceiling.

"Oh my gosh" I said "talk about contradictory" I laugh lightly.

"Yeah I know, you're telling me" there was another small silence.

"Has he threatened my life.. a lot?" I asked quietly.

"Every time I'm in the room. He knows it's the only thing that will get through to me other than my mom. He's been playing that card for two years. He was probably excited to get a new one" I sighed again laying on my back and looking at the ceiling with him.  "You hungry?" He asked turning to face me.

"Um.. maybe a little" he got off the bed and held out his hand. He gave me a mischievous smile as I grabbed his hand and he pulled me out of our room. We left the common room and started walking down the familiar corridors.

We reached a painting of a bowl of fruit. I chuckled as Draco approached it and tickled the pear within it. My laughter faded when he had opened a door that appeared into the kitchen. He turned to me, grabbing my hand again and pulling me in.

"How did you find out how to get in here?" I asked pointing at the entrance.

"I have connections" he smirked at me before started going around and grabbing things he could find as I was still in a daze from what just happened. He put a lot of sweets on the counter and walked back to me with a cauldron cake in hand.

"Your favorite" he handed to me.

"Thank you" I took it from his hand and started eating. "Are those your favorite?" I asked pointing to the pumpkin pasty in his hand.

"Yeah, easily" he threw himself onto the counter and patted next to him. I jumped up to join him, close enough where our thighs were brushing up against each other.

"What's your dream wedding look like?" I asked curiously.

"Dream wedding? I don't know... I never really thought about it. I think I always assumed my mother would want to do all the planning" he let out a chuckle.

"That sounds right." I laughed lightly as well. "I always liked the idea of a small wedding. I don't think we'll be getting that"

"Definitely won't be." Draco said through a chuckle.

"Is it starting to feel real yet? I mean you gave me a ring.. I found a dress.. we're actually going to be married in just a few months" Draco breathed out a long sigh. "Gee don't look too thrilled." I spat as he let out a chuckle.

"I am thrilled. I get to marry someone who would have never taken another look at me if her parents hadn't forced her into it" he laughed.

"Oh I doubt that" I said rolling my eyes.

"Yeah?" He nudged me with his shoulder.

"We were in different countries so our chances of meeting were slim, but there's something that draws me to you Malfoy." I was trying to contain my smile, but it gets harder with every moment.

"Is that so y/n Malfoy?" My smile turned into a small look of surprise. "What? May as well get used to it" he smirked.

"You're a dork" I said softly as we continued to look into each other eyes.

"Yeah but you were bored without your dork weren't you?" He wiggles his eyebrows.

"Yes. Terribly." He leaned in, putting his hand on my neck and pulling me with him. He closed the gap between our lips and gave me a passionate kiss.

His soft gaze met mine when he pulled away before muttering softly "We should get back." I nodded as we packed up the sweets and went back to our room.

It was only two days, and it was harder without him here, though it feels dramatic. It was nice to have him back. my thoughts calmed down while having him near. I instantly felt less bored just being with him. And I fell asleep much quicker with the comfort of him being there yet again.
