Chapter 8. Babysitting a drunk guy..fun

"Maki? Maki. Maki.Makiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!.......Kakashi Sensei took his mask off."

I jumped out of bed. "WHAT. WHERE. WHEN. HOW." I screamed. The person next to me winced.

Wait.. I wasn't in bed.

I observed my surroundings. I was in the training field, lying down on the grass. By the sky light, i'd say it's early morning. Did i pass out from my training again? I looked up and saw all of Team 7 staring down at me.

"Oh, uh. Hi guys." I gave my teammates and sensei a cheeky smile. Sakura was drifting into her own little world, probably thinking about sasuke. Sasuke was just looking down at me with his arms crossed, and naruto  was right next to me, probably the one that woke me up. And lastly...Kakashi sensei.

Now, he just looked downright pissed.

I did the whole rub the back of my head and look at the ground sheepishly thing before he cleared his throat. "I thought i told you to rest." Was All he said. 

"Uh, well you see. I AM resting. Seeeeeee? You found me sleeping." I said, not so convincingly. 

"On a training ground, which probably means that you passed out from training." He said sternly.

"I can explain that." I stated.

Everybody looked at me, waiting.

"Ok, so. I'm just SO dedicated to training that i must have just slept walked out here on the training grounds to take a nice little nap where i train so hard. yeah? yes. yes! Okay, let's do some more lame missions!" I said, hoping to get away with it. 

I tried to push myself off the ground, but staggered and lost my balance, falling to the ground. Crap, I have no chakra. Now my story sounds like bull. wait, it probably sounded like bull before, now i'm just proving how pathetic of a liar i am. 

Hmph, some ninja.

I was caught before i hit the ground. "Thanks Naruto." I said, sighing in relief. I feel so limp.

I assumed it was Naruto that caught me because he was right next to me, but i was looking straight at the baka! So who caught me? 

"Hn." Was the reply i got for my gratitude.

Uchiha... 

I playfully glared at my 'rival'. He raised an eyebrow and..

dropped me.

"Ow! ugh. you. Uchiha!! I WILL DESTROY YOU, OHHHHHHHH IT'S ON!"

Kakashi's hand clamped over my mouth. "Shut up, baka. You disobeyed my orders to rest." I raised my eyebrow.

"Whatcha going to do about it." I asked.

When will i ever learn to keep this big mouth of mine shut.

He gave me a look that made me not want to know. 

"Well, you see. Team 7 has just been assigned their first C rank mission."

My eyes widened. "Really? Yes! Finally, something interesting. What are we waiting for? Let's go, Vamos guys!!!"Then i remembered that i could barely move. Ugh.

"Not so fast." Kakashi said, picking me up and tossing me over his shoulder. I lay there limply, but if i had a choice, i would've pounded and kicked like there would be no tomorrow.

"Since you decided to train against orders, you're staying back at the Leaf Village. In the hospital, under supervision. Resting."

My eyes bugged out of their sockets. No. No. No. There was no way my uncle could be THIS evil. I've been waiting for this mission for so long!

"Please uncle. Can't you punish me some other way. I'll even do another training session with you, just PLEASE let me go on this mission."

He chuckled. "You're going to end up training with me anyway, i'm still your sensei and you still want to learn the chidori. And no. This is your punishment for disobeying orders. Your body's to exhausted to keep up with missions right now."

I rolled my eyes. I had a plan. "Fine, leave me here. but AT LEAST let me rest in the comfort of my own home, not in the hospital." I said.

He shook his head. "No. I need you under supervision, can't have you getting into trouble while i'm gone, now can i?" 

"Wait. Actually.. I have an idea. Sasuke, since you're the one that least needs this c-rank mission experience, you are to stay behind with Maki and supervise her." Kakashi said smugly.

"What?!" We both yelled simultaneously.

"Kakash-" 

We got cut off.

"I don't want to hear it from either of you. Try to bond or something while we're gone, work on your teamwork. You definitely need it. And also Maki, I know Sasuke is the only one you can't threaten into letting you chase after us. He's not easily intimidated.

Sasuke, keep an eye on her, 24/7. She can stay with you a couple of nights, right?"

Sasuke looked smug till the end part about me staying with him. That's when he looked like he was about  to choke.

"But she could be a fan girl!" He said.

I would've smacked him if i could. "Don't flatter yourself." I glared at him.

Hm, no matter. I'm still a better shinobi than him. If i rest up for a day, i can escape in no time.

If i run, i can catch up to them in a day. I'm pretty positive they're walking to their destination, unless the bridge builder likes to run. hahaaha. haha. My joke wasn't funny? Okay. *sadface.

I was thinking all of this through in my head and everything was perfect. Till Kakashi sensei tossed me to Sasuke. He caught me.

"Hey! I may be hot, but i am not a potato, so stop tossing me around like one!" I yelled.

"Sasuke, I apologize in advance for this. But Maki is just too unpredictable and skilled." 

huh, i generously accept that compliment. I smiled. Until I felt something cold wrap around my wrist and click. 

I looked down and saw a handcuff on my wrist. And you know where the other handcuff was? Uchiha's wrist.

I managed to turn myself to kakashi who was holding the key. "Hmm.. I think i'll keep this with me. Let's go, Sakura, Naruto."

Sakura looked really jealous and so did Naruto (I'm not sure why), But at the moment i had other things to worry about. "Wait! Kakashi sensei PLEASE DON'T-" 

He cut off my plead. "Cya in a couple of weeks!" 

And poofed away.

My life is ruined.

A/N so, chapter 8 and chapter 9 were originally the same, but chapter 8 left a pretty good cliffhanger, so i decided to make them separate chapers d: muahaha i'm evil ;) Sorry @gaara119, I just couldn't help it lol (I'm working on chapter 9 as you read haha).
