Ashton's Secret

The dark angel had left me alone with Calum, going to work on the plan I had given to him. Calum coughed and spit more blood on the floor, turning the red carpet darker. "Oh please. You'll survive. Now get out of my sight before I decide to toss you aside." I threatened. He quickly up and left, wiping the blood from his lips. The door shut and I was alone at last. I walked through my bedroom and stopped at the pictures on my nightstand. Magenta eyes stared at me from behind raven colored hair. Her white wings sticking up over her small shoulders. She was still beautiful to me. I hated that. I hated that I still felt about her. I slammed the picture face down and gritted my teeth.
"Who the hell are you?" I snapped at the Pure angel trespassing on Doalim territory. Her magenta eyes turned on me and a smirk appeared on her face. "Whoa there ruffled feathers. I'm just exploring the other side. I'm not plotting anything and I'm certainly not stalking you darkies." She finally walked out from behind the charred tree. Her black waves spilled over her shoulders and back, moving down to her waist. She folded her delicate white wings against her back and walked closer to me. She was about five foot eight compared to my over six foot frame. "Hmm. Interesting. I thought you'd be taller. And cuter." She mused. I let out a low growl and stood taller. "This is not your place Pure one. I suggest you leave before I change my mind and snap your neck myself." She looked amused by my attitude and crossed her arms. "Oh really? And how would you explain that to the rest of the Pure ones? 'Oh she just did that to herself!' You think that's gonna work?" I narrowed my eyes at her sarcasm. "Or I could make it seem like an accident." I said, feeling the anger start to bubble up inside. "Geez. Calm down. I'm going. Don't get your panties wadded up in a knot." With that, she left with the flap of her wings.
The first day I laid eyes on her, I knew she was different from the other Pures. She didn't follow the rules. She didn't care. She just wanted to do whatever she wanted. That's what drew me to her. So she came back a week later. I was actually nice to her. God I was such a fool. Then it led to much more.
"Ashton I love you. I'm sorry. I can't keep it from you anymore. I have feelings for you that I know will get me in trouble. But I don't care anymore." Luna spoke, looking in my eyes. Her white wings set off my black ones and her beautiful smile melted my black heart. "Luna...I know I'm a darkie but I don't want you to get in trouble with the Pures. You could get cast out or have your wings torn off. I couldn't see that happen to you." I countered, lightly stroking her blushing cheek. Her eyes turned white. They always did when she was either embarrassed or jealous. Personally, I enjoyed the jealousy. "You can't stop me Ashton. I have a mind of my own." She said sternly. I knew she did. I just thought she'd want to save herself before getting caught with....with a darkie like me.
"Order! I call order to the Pures court!" The judge yelled, banging his gavel. I was tied down to the floor with palladium soaked ropes. Luna was held back from me, tears streaming down her lovely face. "Luna, do you admit to having a relationship with this abomination?" The judge snarled, pointing at my poisonous black wings. She struggled against the Pures holding on to her arms. Her eyes turned blue with anger. "I admit to it alright. He's my lover. Go ahead. Yell at me. Tell me how I've ruined myself. Stripped myself of lightness. I've allied with darkness. And you know what? It's good as hell." She said with a smirk and not a care in the world about what they thought of her. The room burst into an outrage and started to get out of control. "Take her to the holding cells. Use the palladium if you need to. I'll keep the disgrace here." The judge ruled and the two giant Pures dragged Luna out of the room. I made eye contact with her and I swear she winked at me.
I glanced down at my wrists where the palladium rope had burned me. The scars still prominent reminders of my past. I swore to myself I'd never let myself get emotional about anyone else. My heart had been broken. Only made sense that I'd want everyone else broken too. The pain lessened when I killed Luke's lovely Jade. It was such a release for my heart break, passing it on to Luke. Now I was almost free. Almost.
"Still hurts doesn't it." Came a voice from the balcony. I whipped around, dagger in hand. She smiled and sat on the balcony banister. "Is that how you always greet an old lover?" Her magenta eyes were as beautiful as I remembered.
Michael
Her arms were wrapped tightly around my waist, her small hands resting on my torso. "Why do you think Ashton is so determined to kill Luke?" She asked softly, hugging me. I patted her hand reassuringly and looked up into the heavens. "Only time will tell vvrbs dao. I don't know when or where, but it's bound to happen soon." I answered as truthfully as I could. I heard her small sigh as she buried her head into my back. "I don't want anyone to die. I just want to go home." My heart tugged at the words. "Home? Y/N if you want to go home....I can take you." The offer tasted bitter on my tongue. I didn't want her to leave. Not now. Not ever. I know it sounds selfish, but I wanted her for myself. "I can't go home. I'm staying as long as Ashton's alive."
Luke was finally able to sit up without experiencing any pain. It was quite an accomplishment. "Ok I'm sitting. Now what? Do I get my wings of excellence yet?" He joked and Y/N's musical laughter filled the room. I grinned and patted Luke's shoulder. "Not until you can stand esiasch. Then the wings are all yours." I could feel Y/N's questioning eyes on me and I turned to face her. "I called him brother." She smiled and repeated it, memorizing the word. She looked beautiful the way she wrinkled her nose softly. "Help me stand aziazor oresaba tolteregi." Luke muttered and I chuckled and helped him off the bed. "What does that mean?" Y/N asked, taking Luke's other hand. "He called me a love drunk creature." Her giggles started again and I knew instantly that she loved us both with all her heart.
Ashton
My breath caught in my throat and the dagger fell out of my hands and on to the floor. Her wings were no longer white. Instead they were the color of the galaxy. A mixture of blue, purple, and the same magenta as her eyes. Her hair was to her hips and her lips were blood red. Her left arm was covered in colorful tattoos, swirling up her arm and ending at her shoulder. She wore a black v-neck shirt and tight black jeans. Her presence nearly killed me.
"Y-You're supposed to be dead." I said harsher than I had meant to. I watched her eyes flash blue before they settled back at her magenta. "If that's your way of saying you don't want to see me, then why don't you get it over with. I don't have all day to deal with assholes like you." She unfurled her beautiful wings and stepped off the banister. I ran and grabbed her wrist, stopping her before she could get away. "You have a lot to explain. And this isn't the time to be visiting. I'm in the middle of a war at the moment." I growled and she raised her eyebrows at me. "A war? How...interesting. May I ask what this war is pertaining to? Then maybe I'll tell you what happened to your precious Luna." She purred.
I told her my plans. I told her my grudges. I told her who my enemies were. I don't know how she did it, but she got me to reveal everything. "So this Y/N is the one you need?" She questioned, pulling at the chain around her neck. "Yes. But those imbeciles are always in the way!" I snapped. Luna didn't even flinch. She was used to my tantrums. "You know, if you want my help, all you have to do is ask. Or you could get on your knees and beg me." She said with a smirk. I growled and stood up. "I won't beg you for anything. Ever." She shrugged and continued to play with the chain. "Then I guess you don't need my help. I can fly back to Earth and go back to my mortal lover." She glanced at her nails and crossed her legs. My hands turned to fists and my body started shaking with anger. "You're with a drearian?" I hissed. The smirk was still appearant on her face. "Yes. He's quite the looker for a mortal. Blonde hair, green eyes, and muscles the size of Australia." The jealousy burned me from the inside out. She was mine. Not some puny, fragile drearian. I got down on my knees in front of her and looked up at her. She was even more beautiful if that was possible.
"Luna. Please help me win this war against the lightness. I need you." I spoke through my teeth. She beckoned me closer with her finger. I moved. She bent down and whispered in my ear. "On one condition." I clenched my jaw. "What?" She then brought her hands to my face and looked in my eyes. "I'll do it if I get to kill some snotnosed little Pures." "Done."
The wind whispered over the barren land,
Destruction - only destruction - lies in wait,
The end is near only one shall win,
Will darkness fall to the shining of the light?
Or will the darkness overpower its blinding strength?
It will all come as foretold. *
