Decided
10:24, 16 March 2015Luke's breathing began to regulate and his tensed shoulders relaxed against Michael's soft bed. You continued to hold his cold, fragile hands in yours and kissed his forehead. His temperature was coming down from the burning one hundred and one degrees. Michael's hands were shaking and his eyes were full of tears. Even though Michael had seen Luke at his worst, he still couldn't cope. "I-I'm not dead guys." Luke croaked out and you kissed his face all over. "No you're not! And I'm so happy about that!" You half laughed, half cried. He chuckled softly and winced at the broken ribs. "No moving or talking." Michael reprimanded. "He's right Luke. You don't need to keep hurting yourself by talking." Luke laughed again softly and hissed at the pain. "Is that your way of telling me to shut up?" Michael's lips twitched and he crossed his arms. "Pretty much."
After applying more Avdcal, Luke's pain started to subside and he seemed to relax a lot more. You pet his hair lightly like a small puppy and he smiled, leaning into your touch. "Don't get any ideas." Michael mumbled. Luke scoffed at Michael's remark, making sure to flip him off in the process. "What like the idea you had in the park?" Luke asked, earning a blush from you and a light slap from Michael. "Shut up." Luke's lighthearted laughter returned and the color returned to his cheeks. "Don't worry Mike. I won't be getting any of those ideas about you." You burst out laughing as you watched Michael sputter and turn red. "That's not what I meant!" Luke grinned at you with a wink and patted your hand. "Thank you for being here aziazor. It means the world me."
Calum
What have I done? I abandoned the only angel in the whole damn place that showed me a sliver of kindness. I shouldn't have run away. My legs carried me to the darkest part of the castle even though my heart started racing the second the black door with a blood red handle came in sight. I forced myself to wander closer and raise my hand to the cold wood. Knocking three times, I prepared myself for whatever Ashton could throw at me. But instead he opened the door with the biggest smile on his face. "Well hello my fellow darkie! How are you this fine evening? It's not too hot, not to cold, just the perfect temperature to murder!" He boasted and clapped, completely impressed with himself. Usually when he was like this one of his plans was successful. His fingers wrapped around my wrists and he pulled me inside the room with great strength. I stumbled inside as he shut the door with his mind. Still really freaky when he does that.
"Do you know why I'm ecstatic?" He asked, pouring himself a glass of angel sugar laced with white roxtan. Also known as wine in the drearian world. Geez humans butcher languages. Although I was always fond of Italian. "No...I do not." Ashton reached for his palladium dipped Celtic dagger. It was a bronzey gold color that was exquisitely shaped like a leaf. It was always one of my favorite weapons, if it wasn't being used. "Let me enlighten you. I have just succeeded in killing the precious darkie dear to Michael and Y/N's hearts." Speaking of hearts, mine almost stopped. I swallowed and rubbed my palms against my jeans. "Oh." His laugh rang through the room and he twirled the dagger in his hands. "Don't act so surprised! You knew I had to get rid of that blonde haired nuisance. It gives them a reason to fight and be killed. It's perfect!" That's when I saw that Ashton had changed and gotten stronger. His eyes were permanently red now. He looks a lot more intimidating than he used to. "I'm not sure what you mean." I barely choked out. He rolled his eyes, balancing the tip of the dagger on his fingertip. "Do I need to spell this out for you?" I was beginning to think he needed to.
"So Luke is dead!" He finished joyously, taking a swig of his alcohol angel sugar. I knew I shouldn't have said it, but it just came out like I couldn't control myself. "Luke isn't dead. Michael and Y/N saved him." Then as if he flipped a switch, his emotions went from joyful to infuriated. "They what?!"
Y/N
Michael had insisted on going to the cafeteria to get Luke "nutrients" as he put it. So you were basically in charge of keeping Luke from trying to move. It was harder than it looked. He was so used to taking care of everyone else that he was incapable of letting someone else take care of him. "Luke I will literally sit on you if I have to." You threatened when he tried to sit up. He laughed and lay back down, looking into your eyes. "Honestly that's the best punishment I've ever been threatened with. Michael once told me he would break off my arm and shove it down my throat so I would be constipated for weeks." A giggle erupted from your mouth as you imagined a grumpy Michael saying that to Luke. He gave you a grin and took your hand again. "Can I ask you to promise me something?" He asked softly, tracing his finger over your palm and wrist. "Anything Luke."
"You need to promise me that if I ever get to the point where I can't be saved, please don't try to. Don't find a way out. Just let it happen. I can't keep living like this. It's not living, it's getting by. I want you to promise me you also won't forget about me once I'm gone. If I'm going to be remembered, it has to be from someone as kindhearted as you. I know you'll love me even when I've passed on. Do you promise me aziazor?" You could feel tears falling down your cheeks as you nodded. "I promise Luke. It would be impossible to forget you." The door opened and Michael strolled in with takeout boxes instead of the normal trays Alessa used. "Where did you go? China?" Luke teased and Michael cursed at him in Enochian. "For your information smartass, I went to Mononusa de Tibibipe." He said, setting down the boxes. "Ooh. My favorite. What'd you get?" Luke wondered, sitting up, ignoring your requests. "The blood of angsty teenagers."
Luke had eaten everything on his plate, excluding the angst ridden blood. He was definitely looking a lot better. "What are we going to do about Ashton?" He asked with a large burp, excusing himself right away. Michael fanned the invisible burp away from his face and looked at Luke like he was crazy. "We? You mean me. You're not going anywhere and you're certainly not fighting Ashton." He argued and Luke cut him off. "I have to. I'm part of this. He tried to kill me! I'm not going to just let him get away with it." There was no way Michael was going to be able to stop Luke. If his heart was set on something, there was no stopping him. "Michael, just let him help you. He can do damage." You added and Luke gave you a thankful look. Michael sighed, reaching over to thumb the pendants hanging from your neck. "I know you're right vvrbs princess. Luke will help a lot. I'm just worried." You took his hand and placed a kiss to the inside of his wrist. "I know. I am too. But this is Luke's fight too." Luke glanced between the two of you and rubbed his hands together. "So it's decided. I fight alongside you."
Anger swells up inside the dark one as hope instills in the light one. Perhaps evil will be diminished. Perhaps light will cease to exist. On the day of the battle, the sun will be hidden and the sky will be silver. The air will smell of death and the trees will morn those who will be lost forever. One death will linger longer than the others. This is not to be taken lightly, for if it is, everything will fall apart once again. Beware. Things are not what they seem. For black will be joined by green.
