The next day:)

Marcy let Sasha know that she was leaving for something. Sasha was still laying down in bed tired and falling asleep, meanwhile Marcy took that chance and headed over to the Boonchuy's home. Before she exited the room she leaned down and placed a small peck on the sleepy girls forehead.

......

Marcy gently knocked on the front door, waiting for an answer. She waited for what felt like moments and stared at random things until she finally heard the front door open. She turned her head to see who opened the door for her but was met with no one.

"Down here ya big bozo!" A familiar voice shouted.

Marcy looked down and was met with a small pink Pollywog looking at her with an offended expression.

"Oh hey Polly! Is Anne here?" Marcy asked.

"You're so worried about Anne that you don't even notice that you insulted my height!" Polly crossed her tiny arms.

"I have a list where all my enemies are defeated, you dare disrespect Polly!" Polly complained.

"Hey, it's not my fault you're a short little pollywog!" Marcy grinned.

Polly stared at Marcy in disbelief before pulling out a random long paper and a pencil that Marcy didn't even know she had and began writing on it.

"Oh yeah you're going on my list for sure." Polly said as she hopped away.

Marcy let out a small chuckle as she welcomed herself into the Boonchuy home. In the house, she saw both Hop-Pop and Sprig sitting together in the couch. Hop-Pop was watching romance movies and Sprig was bouncing his small ball on and off the wall with his slingshot.

Sprig turned his head and noticed Marcy standing there. "Oh hey there other Anne! Anne number one is up in her room if that's what you're here for." Sprig informed.

"Alright, Thanks." Marcy thanked.

Marcy headed upstairs. Once she got upstairs she stood outside of Anne's bedroom, heart beating out of her chest.

She took a deep breath, then raised her arm up to the door, and knocked.

Marcy waited for a moment, hearing silence from behind the door until she heard quiet footsteps approaching. The door then opened and she saw her favorite brunette peek from behind the door.

She looked surprised to see Marcy, like she hadn't expected her to show up. Her wide eyes had dark circles under them and her hair was messy, not that her hair being messy was surprising.

"Marcy? What are you doing here?" Anne asked, a shocked look on her face.

"We need to talk. You can't just walk your way out of this, in this friendship we communicate." Marcy frowned as she forced her way into the door.

"Hey, you can't just burst into my room like this." Anne complained.

"We'll you've been ignoring my calls and only talking to Sasha, and like I said, in this friendship we communicate." Marcy responded.

Anne rolled her eyes as she sat on her bed. She watched as Marcy approached her and sat on the bed next to her.

"We need to talk, you already run away from your problems enough. Doing it even more will make things even worse. Maybe find a better coping mechanism instead of acting like everything is okay because we both know that shits been crazy lately." Marcy said.

Anne let out a hard sigh before she opened her mouth to say something. "It's just that... yesterday, I felt really bad for my childish outburst. I would have stayed and talked it out with you but I was angry." Anne admitted.

"And we both know things don't look so good when I get angry."

"It's just that, after we started talking about Sasha you mentioned amphibia. And I couldn't help but think about all the bad things that happened to me and Sasha during the aftermath. Don't get me wrong, bad things happened to you too and I feel really bad for that. But maybe you should have thought things through before you made that decision."

"I have a lot of pent up anger left over that I didn't really get to express during my time in amphibia so I kinda took it all out on you yesterday. I'm really sorry."

"And if you're wondering why I look like shit, I kinda cried all night. I felt really bad for handling the situation immaturely and the look on your face just haunted me the whole night to the point where I just started...overthinking. And yeah, boom! I started crying."

"I was a complete asshole to you, the argument was so random. I made you cry, and I even walked away from you. I felt no remorse in that moment, that's what made me pissed at myself even more. I just feel like none of the bad things would have ever happened if we hadn't fucked around with the music box. I've gotten betrayed and lied to, Sasha still has pain in her back from her wound to this day, and you got stabbed in the chest!"

"I still can't get that image out of my head."

"But I also can't help but be a bit grateful. I met the plantars, had strangers make me one of their own, I finally realized the reason why I let people walk all over me, and bonus! You guys changed for the better."

Marcy let out a small chuckle and Anne raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Anne, you weren't an asshole. You have every right to feel like that. I know how it feels to have bottled up emotions and I'd never want you to feel like how I felt, I'm glad you took it out on me. Plus, I'm pretty sure I practically ruined your lives. I left you guys with trauma that'll probably stay with you for your entire lives and Sasha was probably beaten by her parents for going missing for so long." Marcy leaned her head back against the headboard as she shot Anne a sad smile.

"You didn't ruin our lives. Sure, me, you, and Sasha may have some trauma, well, a lot of trauma, but we learned valuable lessons during our time there! Every good thing always comes with a cost." Anne said as she placed her hand over her chest.

"You can't just blame yourself for every bad things that happens. It's bound to happen, like I said, every good thing comes with a cost. Like, imagine if I became a god in 78 years? Something would obviously go wrong. We have our whole lives ahead of us to make mistakes and learn valuable lessons from it, we're only young after all." Anne comforted

"Yeah, I still haven't forgiven myself for having you guys live a years worth of lies. But oh well, we all changed for the better and that's all that matters. And after we start healing and get our shit together, we can be together forever and ever!" Marcy cheered.

Anne let out a giggle. "Yeah, forever and ever. And now that Sasha lives with you and is away from her abusive parents it'll be even better."

Marcy let out a noise of surprise and looked up at Anne in surprise. "W-Wha.... How'd did you know...?"

"Eh. I figured something went really wrong when Sasha came out to her parents. I may be 'dumber than a bag of rocks,' but I'm not that stupid. I always got weird vibes from her parents, I just didn't suspect that they'd be abusing her. I'm angry at myself for not noticing sooner. The damage is already done, she's way more traumatized than before, we were too late. Sasha would always go to your house instead of hers and claim that her parents allowed her to sleep over, but it would go on every night. Soon enough I caught on to the act you two were putting on." Anne folded her arms as she raised her eyebrow.

Marcy shrunk in her position and turned her head in shame to avoid eye contact. "I'm sorry I kept that from you.."

"Uh- no. Marcy, look at me." Anne demanded.

Marcy still remained in the same position, keeping her head turned away from Anne. Anne then grabbed hold of Marcy's face and turned her head towards her, forcing Marcy to look at her.

Anne used her thumb to caress Marcy's cheek. "Marcy, I'm not angry at you, I have no reason to be. I don't have very good reactions to certain things. And that's a completely valid reason to avoid telling me. I probably would have shown up to her parents house and jumped them with my whole family Heh... You don't have to feel ashamed for lying to me, everyone lies. Even me." Anne comforted, her tone gentle.

It was difficult for Marcy to focus when Anne was so assuring and comforting. The way she spoke was just so gentle, her voice was sweet like honey. That was something she always loved about Anne, she always found a way to comfort someone in the worst situations. Her voice alone could put someone into euphoria.

"I'm apologize Marcy, do you forgive me...?" Anne apologized, thumb caressing her cheek.

Marcy didn't hesitate to quickly nod her head up and down. Who could say no to those eyes? They just made you want to fall back into a field of lilies and lavenders. In a nice sunset while the sky is a mix of purple, pink, and orange.

Anne let out a relived sigh. She then pulled Marcy's face in and placed a small peck onto her forehead. For a second Marcy felt like her face was on fire.

A grin appeared on Marcy's face as she let out a happy giggle and hid her face a bit.

Anne chuckled. "How are we going to explain to Sasha that I know about you two living together?"

"Eh, I don't know. She'd probably freak out, but she wouldn't give a shit after a while." Marcy shrugged.

"Oh! Speaking of Sasha, could we go to the beach tomorrow? Sasha isn't doing so good back at my house and I'm pretty sure going to the beach would cheer her up, she absolutely loves the beach!" Marcy suggested.

"Sure! Maybe we should bring her back something. She'd appreciate it very much." Anne said.

"Oh! Maybe some roses! You know how she loves red things." Marcy suggested.

"Sure, she sure would love that very much. Just don't give her too much, or else we'll have a full supply of roses just like those love letters from out secret admirer. It'll be 'Forever Roses.' Heh." Anne said.

"Okay! I'll make sure to only get a little bit. Let's go guys some and then comfort Sasha." Marcy grinned as she stood up from Anne's bed.
