Anne was feeling pretty...

Groggy.

He extended her arms to her face to try and rub her eyes to clear her blurry vision, but her attempt did no help whatsoever. She slowly turned her head, memories of the day before flooding back into her mind when they went on their date.

'Oh, I forgot about that.'

Anne's eyes wandered down as she felt an unusual pressure on her chest. She saw messy blonde hair on one side of her chest. And familiar shirt raven black hair on the other side.

She had the thought somewhere in her mind, but she couldn't quit put a finger on who it was.

That's when a certain person popped up in her head.

'Oh! Marbles.. since when did she get here? Sasha must have called her to sleep over when she was finished with her family business.'

'She just looks so calm and peaceful while she's sleeping. I just want to kiss her cute face...'

Anne felt one of the girls begin to stir a bit. A messy blonde head looked up at her with tired eyes as she opened her mouth to say something.

"Oh hey Anne, I see you're awake." Sasha greeted, voice raspy.

"Morning Sashy." Anne said in response.

"Since when did marbles get here? Did you call her over here after I went to sl-?" Anne then felt her throat start to get itchy and she began letting out tickly cough.

Sasha immediately got up and rushed to Anne's aid. "Woah! Are you okay!? Those coughs don't sound like any normal ones..." Sasha raised an eyebrow as she cupped Anne's cheeks.

"I'm fine Sash, just an itchy throat that's a-" Anne was cut off when she felt her body start to tense up and she let out a couple of big sneezes.

"Yeah no. You're sick Anne, you're not fooling me this time. What's up with you always getting sick!?" Sasha sighed.

She then stood up from the bed and she extended her arms out to Anne. Anne gladly accepted the offer and allowed the blonde to gently lift her up.

Sasha then exited the room and continued to bring the sleepy girl downstairs.

She had just woken up so she was still a little tired. As Sasha carried her downstairs, she leaned her head on her shoulder and shut her eyes. Normally she'd say something like "five more minutes" and then go back to sleep.

Sleep will never conquer her ever again! You thought you got the best of ol Anne eh? Well you've got another thing comin! She shall never let sleep take over her!

That's like letting the power of a certain thing control you and then dying to protect the ones you love and having to get a new body!

I really need to stop doing that.

Once the two arrived in the kitchen, Sasha gently sat the sleepy girl onto one of the chairs at the kitchen table. Anne laid her head down and began staring at random things she could lay her eyes on.

"What would you like for breakfast? I've been practicing, so I won't burn down the kitchen. I only learned from the best!" She complimented.

A dark red tint grew in Anne's at the compliment as she shot Sasha a shy smile before opening her mouth. "Some eggs and pancakes will do me well, my appetite isn't very big in the morning so I'm positive I'll be fine." She assured.

"Oki doke! All coming up!" Sasha grinned.

"Oooh Oooh! Me too! I want some pancakes with Anne too! Pleaseeeeeeee!" Sprig pleaded as he hopped onto the kitchen table.

Sasha shot Sprig an expression of disgust at his lack on manners, she then scoffed as she quickly turned around. "Fine twerp, but just know I'm only doing this because if I'm not nice to you Anne will get on my ass about it!"

Sprig let out an evil giggle as he stood on the kitchen table in pride. "Hahaha! Now down to me you dirty blonde human! Make me breakfast peasant!"

Meanwhile, in the background, Polly and Hop- Pop were on they're knees bowing up and down while quietly chanting, "All hail the mighty Sprig! All hail the mighty Sprig!"

Sprig let out another evil giggle at the praise he was receiving.

The relationship with Sasha and Sprig was...

Funny.

They could never go two seconds without roasting each other. Usually Sprig would use some bad TikTok roasts like "It's the homophobic parents for me."

And Sasha, being good at arguing, would clap back with, "It's the NO parents for me."

And like always, Sprig would always end up crying to Anne.

Too funny to not laugh at!

Sasha groaned in annoyance. She then quickly turned around while Sprig was too full of himself and flicked pancake batter on his face with the spatula.

"WHAT THE HECK!" Sprig complained.

"Yeah yeah yeah! In your face twerp!" Sasha teased.

Sprig then sunk down into his position in embarrassment as she slowly slid off of the kitchen table. Anne let out a small chuckle at the interactions that were going on.

They then heard footsteps coming from the staircase. The footsteps were light, and quiet. So it was easy for them to tell who it was. A sleepy Marcy then appeared from behind the staircase.

Her hair was messy and she was wearing her green dinosaur onesie again.

"Hey guys! What's all the ruckus?" Marcy asked, confused.

"Nothing much, just Sprig and Sasha at it again with their stupidity." Anne replied.

"Eh, I'm not even surprised anymore. It's nothing new." Marcy facepalmed.

Anne then inhaled and coughed hard into her fist.

Marcy glared at Anne in concern. "Woah there Anna- Banana! Have you come down with something? You haven't been sick in a while."

Anne shrugged. "Eh, I feel completely fine but Sasha keeps insisting that I take it easy for the day."

"Shoot! Todays Monday, looks like we have another day off from school!" Marcy giggled.

"Yay! Now I don't have to deal with Maggie and her dirty looks! I'm glad Sasha beat her bloody." Anne cheered.

"She was starting to piss me the fuck off."

"Breakfast is ready! I made it perfectly just for you guys! But I made the pancake cracker for twerp over there." Sasha scowled as she rolled her eyes.

"Dangit boy! You shouldn't have a guest make you breakfast!" Hop-Pop complained.

"This blonde silky headed peasant called me a twerp! She's now my servant! Servants do all the dirty work for their boss!" Sprig crossed his arms.

Polly jumped on the counter in front of Anne and handed her the syrup bottle. "Sorry about them Anne, here you go!"

Anne gladly took the bottle away from Polly. "Thanks Pol! You're the little sister I never knew I needed." She complimented as she patted the small frogs head.

Polly giggled shyly before running away with her tiny legs to look at random things she found interesting.

She picked up a butter knife that was way too tall for her and started playing with it. "Woah! A tall sword! Yes! I finally get to cross people out on my list of enemies! That bald guy with makeup that tried to run tests on me is going down first!"

Anne watched the purple ball run around in adoration. "Heh, I know she's going to grow into an amazing frog and take over the world."

"Heh, without you as her moral compass she definitely will." Marcy chuckled.

Anne then picked up her fork and took a bite out of her eggs.

...

She let out a hard sigh. "I'm full, I think I'm ready to stop eating. Could we go watch some movies please? I still feel a little tired." Anne suggested.

"That's fine, you aren't feeling well. It's not like I expected you to finish the whole thing. And yes, we can go sit down with some snacks. I'll heat you up some soup later on in the day."

Sasha then took hold of Anne's hand and helped her up. She then took Anne's arm and wrapped it around her shoulder, meanwhile Sasha's arms wrapped around her waist to support her. Marcy did the same things in the opposite side.

Polly quickly turned around from whatever she was doing and sarcastically said, "Don't let them kill you Anne! You'd better come back alive Boonchuy. I swear to frog you'd better!"

......

There the three girls were. Huddled up under a blanket, watching a three hour movie...

The War Of The Warlocks.

Yeah, Anne wasn't feeling well, and she was exhausted from yesterday. But Marcy just kept talking about the movie.

Lately she had been trying to get Marcy to open up about her interests, it made her happy to have someone to talk about the things she liked with.

Marcy probably didn't notice that Anne was on the verge of falling asleep. She gets so wrapped up in her own needs that she seems to tune everyone else's needs out without knowing.

And what one of Anne's needs were was sleep.

Anne would probably never tell Marcy this but...

She has such unhealthy coping mechanisms.

It's sad to think about, she used her interests and ran away from her problems instead of facing it. And somehow, her doing that always made things worse.

Anne and Sasha never really payed attention to her wants and needs, she she sorta turned to video games and anime to cope.

Let's just say that didn't turn out so well.

Her unhealthy coping mechanism was the whole reason they ended up in amphibia. But then again, they have no room to talk. They were terrible friends to Marcy.

They learned their lesson.

They will never leave Marcy alone.

She was afraid of losing them, afraid of not being important to them. Maybe that's why she went behind they're backs with that crazy idea.

She just...didn't wanna be alone.

Anne was drifting in and out of consciousness as she tried to keep her eyes on the television.

'C'mon Anne! Keep watching to movie... Do it for Marcy!'

Marcy noticed that Anne was a little too quiet for her liking. So she turned her head to see what was going on. Anne was swaying back and forth, fighting for her life to keep her eyes open.

"Oh no Anne! You don't have to stay up and watch the movie with me. You can go to bed I'm sorry, I didn't notice. You aren't feeling well so just go to sleep." Marcy assured.

Marcy extended her arms and pulled Anne into her embrace, grabbing hold of her hand and slowly kissing it as she patted her hair with her other hand.

"Please go to sleep pretty."

She then placed a small peck on her temple and leaned her back onto the couch while Anne softly snored in her arms.

Meanwhile Sasha was INVESTED in the movie they were watching. She was wrapped around in an extra blanket with her knees to her chest and her eyes glued to the television like a small child offered a lollipop.

'This shits kinda interesting lowkey...'

Marcy then felt a sudden movement on the couch and looked down to see that Domino the cat had jumped onto the couch and leaned against her leg while purring.

God that's fucking adorable.

......

Y'all it's so fun to compare random shit to all the traumatic shit that happened in amphibia...

Also I'm a huge Marcy Kinnie in this chapter some of the shit that went on with her was a bit too relatable for me😭

Sorry I haven't updated in five days, I'm slaying outfits on my vacation🤪

I don't know what to say but there's a few more chapters until the end of this story.

Or is it the end...?

Anyways:)
