Sana had been in deep thought the whole day. From daydreaming in class to walking slowly down the halls while her brain whirled.

The jarring noise of the bell that signaled the end of the school day sounded just as she made up her mind. The grinned to herself as she packed up her things, the words Seulgi was speaking went in one ear and came out through the other.

It was Wednesday afternoon. She and Jun had a tutoring session, and she had an idea.

She intentionally packed her things slowly, waiting for everyone to file out of the class. Jun always packed up his stuff very slowly because he kept on doing odd things in between, like talking to his friends, or running out of the class, or chasing someone.

She watched as Seulgi and Jaebum's backs disappeared before she whirled around and dragged Jun by his tie up to the rooftop.

"We'll have our session up here today," she told him as he began protesting.

When they reached to rooftop, Sana tugged him around from behind her and pushed him up against the old cement storage room that used to hold cleaning equipment.

Jun looked utterly bewildered, with wide eyes and a gaping mouth, as he was unsure of what Sana was doing.

"What is—" Jun began, but was interrupted by her lips.

He naturally kissed her back before she pulled away with a peculiar grin on her face.

"I've made up my mind," she said, still with a grin. Jun looked at her quizzically with a raised eyebrow. Her smile never dropped as she said, "We don't have to keep going."

Jun blinked and glanced around, still clueless. Sana snaked her arms around his neck and stood on her toes to get closer to him. She dropped her voice to a whisper. "I don't want to wait until the ten dates are over..."

Jun felt his heart stumble in his chest for a long second. He stared into her eyes, a cocky smile spreading across his features. "Can't get enough of me, can't you?" he said with a haughty chuckle. Sana rolled her eyes by smiled all the same.

"What do they say in K-Dramas? 'Today is our day 1'?" Sana asked. Jun scoffed, cringing internally. "Well I guess today is our day 1," she said with a confident wink. "I want you to be my boyfriend, Wen Junhui."

His face broke out into a full smile without a trace of arrogance. He was purely happy. He replied by pulling her close to kiss her again, his hand cupping her cheek.

Jun felt Sana smile into the kiss and somehow found himself blushing when they parted once more. Sana hugged him, listening to his quick heartbeat from where her ear lay on his chest.

"I really like you too, Jun..." she told him straightforwardly.

Jun hugged her back, simply adoring how snug she fitted between his large arms, how she rested her soft cheek against his chest, and how her hair smelled of fruity shampoo. She had no idea how crazy he was about her. His cheeks hurt from excessive grinning.

After a while, Jun broke the silence in their hug.

"Since when did you get so confident?" he asked, squeezing her tighter. Sana giggled.

"I knew I wouldn't get rejected," she replied, tickling his abdomen impishly before darting off.

"HEY!" Jun yelled after her. "Get back here!"

"You see," Hoshi said, nudging Chungha's arm. "I told you I wouldn't tell anyone."

Chungha sighed. "I was just checking..." she mumbled, twirling a pen between her fingers.

They were seated on the floor of the practice room. All the dancers had left already, but the duo had stayed behind for the tutoring classes. Chungha was helping Hoshi with his French homework.

He was improving rapidly. His English skills were nearly as good as hers, and he was constantly getting good scores on exercises in Math, Science, Korean, History, IT and Social Studies.

Not only was Chungha proud of him for working hard, but also for sincerely keeping her secret as he'd promised the day he'd found out.

She had broken down that day as he walked her back home, crying about how she'd been treated in the other schools because of her diabetes and that had been the reason for her not telling anyone about it. Hoshi had listened and comforted and helped her the whole time, before rounding it up by buying her some of her favourite snacks. She was very grateful to him, and knew he wouldn't tell a soul, but for some reason—probably out of habit—she'd kept on asking him whether he'd somehow let it slip to someone by any chance.

They sat quietly side by side an hour later, watching the sun setting through the windows. They had been through their homework and tutoring exercises together in a flash, and now had nothing else to do. Chungha felt the cool mirror behind her grow warm from the heat of her back which was pressed against it.

She was quite deep in her thoughts when a surprising one crossed her mind. She tried to bat it away, but it kept pestering her, and after seven more minutes of arguing against it, she lost to herself and decided to do it.

"Soonyoung," she said quietly. He was slightly surprised that she'd called him by his real name, as she and everybody else called him Hoshi. But he replied all the same.

"Yes?" he said. Still looking straight ahead, she continued. "Close your eyes. I want to give you something..."

Hoshi was nonplussed and confused by the sudden command, and he glanced at her shortly, but after saying nothing, faced front again and did as he was told.

In the darkness he heard Chungha breathe out slowly. He placed his hands out, palms flat and facing up, expectantly waiting for a gift when he heard her move next to him. He waited a few seconds longer, with the corners of his mouth raised and his fingers twitching in anticipation.

He still felt nothing in his hands. Exasperated, her opened his eyes and turned to look at her.

"If y—"

His words were stopped by her lips. Both stunned they pulled back with shock etched in their features. There was a silence for a matter of seconds and they both remained still, their eyes locked. Both their faces were flushed, but Chungha's was certainly a deeper red.

"I-I..." she began, finally blinking, then breaking eye-contact with him. "Why did you turn your head? I was just going to..." she trailed off as her face reddened even more. "It was just—"

Hoshi's sudden movement surprised her. He leaned towards her, gently bringing her head closer to him with his hand that he placed on her nape. Hoshi kissed her slowly.

And she kissed him back.

"Come on, we should leave." Seulgi said to Jaebum and began carefully slotting books back into her bag. "You've done really well today. I mean it," she added when he looked at her skeptically.

The truth was, he really had improved. Especially in French, but not so much in the other subjects.

"You should go home." Seulgi told him. He made a face and began sulking.

"I don't want to..." he whined childishly. She half smiled as she looked at him. "Aren't your parents expecting you? It's almost sundown isn't it?" Seulgi questioned him.

He only shrugged grumpily and refused to move.

"Well..." she continued, swinging her bag onto her back. "I'm leaving then~"

Seulgi began to move out of the booth, but she felt his fingers slide around hers as she passed, making her stop and look down at him.

He wasn't watching her, but rather gazing ahead. "I don't want to go home because I don't want to be with my family." He looked up at her. "Can't I go home with you instead?"

Slightly confused at the question, Seulgi froze for a moment.

Then she chuckled. "Don't be such a baby, JB, you know you can't—"

She felt his fingers slip between hers, lacing their two hands together. "I really don't want to see them, Seulgi..." He stood up so that now, he looked down at her.

She swallowed. "W-why not?" she asked him nervously, conscious of the narrow gap between them and his hand entwined with hers.

"They're just crappy..." he whispered resentfully. "And they never even pay attention to me anyway..." He trailed off.

Seulgi smiled pitifully at him and tugged him out of the booth. "Yeah...but they're still your family. You can't do anything about that," she told him with a sad smile. "But the least you can do is try your best to get closer to them."

Jaebum shook his head. "How can I get closer to them when—Seulgi, my parents don't even remember my birthday! They don't know what I want to be in future! All they care about is the stupid company and the fucking shareholders and the fu—"

Seulgi quickly let go of his hand and hugged him tightly at the sound of the swear words. She hated them. "Don't use those words, Jaebum," she whispered. "They're dirty and nasty words." She rubbed his back and stroked his hair rhythmically until he calmed down.

"At least I have you." he told her, ruffling her hair with a forced smile.

"Atlest you have me..." she repeated quietly, gazing at him with a lopsided grin.
