"You hungry?" Jun asked her over an hour later without taking his eyes off the screen. "Get him! Get him!" Sana shot the guy square in the head. The game was over.

"I'm always hungry," Sana replied, taking off the head set. Jun looked at her strangely. "You are scary as hell..." he muttered also taking off his headphones. "I teach you how to shoot and in five minutes you've killed, like 10 guys with perfect headshots...I'm afraid to know what you'd do if you learned how to use a real gun."

Sana smirked. "What should we cook?" she asked him. He stared at her with the strange look again. "We order. Can't really be bothered to whip up a whole meal..." Jun replied.

She glanced at him with a 'seriously?' sort of look, then stood up. "Come on," she said. "You're not gonna be ordering tonight."

Jun followed her into the kitchen where his mother was brewing coffee. "You guys must be hungry," she said, turning around at the sound of footsteps. "Let's order some chicken or something. Jajangmyeon if you want your food quick..." she trailed off when she saw Sana shaking her head.

"I'll cook." She stated it more than offered. "I'm not really a fast-food fan..." she added. Jun's mother shrugged, then pushed Beck away as he was jumping up on her. "Be my guest. Any food is welcome," she told her with a smile.

Sana grinned. "How does lasagna sound?" she asked.

The large Italian dish was finally in the oven an hour later. Sana and Jun had had to get lasagna pasta sheets from a supermarket while Sana put his mother in charge of the meat sauce. It would be done in twenty minutes.

"My hands still stink of onions..." Jun complained, then went off to go and wash his hands. Sana smiled at him. She was left alone with his mother, and they were both sitting next to each other at the kitchen island.

"Has Jun been behaving himself in school?" Jun's mother asked her. Sana chuckled. "I know it's not his fault, but he's always getting told off for fidgeting in class..." she glanced at the older woman, considering whether to say her next sentence or not. "I find it kinda cute though."

Jun's mother laughed. "He is quite a charmer, that boy," she admitted with a roll of her eyes. They were quiet a few moments more. The older of the two broke the silence, "I had him when I was just 16." Her voice was quiet. Sana turned to study her expression. She'd had no idea. Jun never talked about his family much, except mention his mother a few times.

"His father left me when I told him...I was disowned by my family when they found out," she sighed, but it wasn't a sad or pitiful sigh; it was kind of just like an 'oh well' sigh. "I was alone for a while, and scared. I stayed with my friend, but I still felt lonely. I knew her parents would kick me out once the baby was born." Sana who was listening intently didn't hear Jun come back into the kitchen and stop by the counter.

"But once I had him...I didn't feel lonely anymore," she smiled. "I was just happy he was there and he was alright. A good friend of my grandmother's gave me a tiny place to stay and I was able to raise him by the money I got from modeling and acting." Ms. Wen looked at Sana and grinned. "I don't even know why I'm telling you this. I guess it's just because I've never told this to anyone else before. Except Jun."

Sana reached for her hand and squeezed it. "Maybe you just needed some girls' talk," she suggested with a smile. Jun's mother laughed. "Yeah, maybe. I was lucky to land a great paying job here in Korea. So we're good now. And I don't have to worry about Jun making friends anymore; he has you." She rolled her eyes again. "Making moves as soon as he gets here...such a player, that kid."

Seeming to sense his presence behind her, she said to her son, "Come on, Jun. You don't have to keep standing there."

Sana whirled around to face him.

"So I'm a player now, huh?" he asked his mother with mock disappointment in his words.

She nodded, playing with Sana's fingers in her hand. "He must have charmed you into liking him, didn't he?"

Sana agreed with a nod. "He totally seduced me," she mocked him with a beaming smile.

"Alright, no lasagna for you guys," he said, going to stand guard in front of the oven.

"I was the one who even made it in the first place," Sana protested, standing up. Jun shrugged and remained rooted in his place. "It's my house." he retorted

Ms. Wen cleared her throat. "Actually," she declared as she also stood up. "This is my house." Jun flinched, yet stood his ground, but both women caught it with evil grins. "Come here!" his mother yelled as she ran at him. Jun darted off, giggling madly.

"So," Mrs. Jang, their homeroom teacher began. It was Wednesday afternoon, fifteen minutes before the close of the school day. "Study groups. One of the new additions. Students with better grades partner up with students with lower ones to help them gain better grades."

Irene raised her hand and Mrs. Jang called on her. "But ssaem, how are the partnerships formed?"

"Good question," she replied, tapping the front desk for complete silence. "Well, there was a list made by the Head Teacher, but he said it can be shuffled around according to what the homeroom teacher thinks is best. Students with higher grades can also volunteer to help whoever they believe they can help. Alright..."

"First place, is surprisingly a tie!" Mrs. Jang announced. There was loud mumbling which she silenced quickly. "Irene and Chungha both got the same score." A chorus of 'ooohhh's followed. Irene turned to look at Chungha with an expression Sana couldn't place.

"On the list, Irene, you're partnered with Junmyeon...which I think is alright." The teacher looked at Irene for confirmation. She nodded with little emotion. Sana glanced at Suho (which is what everyone called him) and he was grinning ever so slightly.

"Chungha, you're with—"

"I volunteer to help Ho—Soonyoung," she cut in with her hand in the air. Mrs. Jang silenced the quiet murmuring. She looked from Chungha to Hoshi, then nodded her approval and moved on to the next person, Sana. She volunteered to help Jun and when it was approved, she could almost see Jun smirking at the back of her head.

"So remember!" their homeroom teacher began her closing announcement. "Study pairs must meet for an hour and a half after school every other day. You boys should study harder! The girls are shoving you out of the way." She left the class with a playful smile and everyone gathered their things and began to leave the class.

Sanafelt a large hand enclose around hers. It was Jun. "Let's go, partner,"he said with a smile.
