Date Night

13:50, 25 April 2023

The next month was busy, crowded, exciting, exhausting, happy. George moved in the next day. He and Fred packed up his things in an hour and floo'd everything over immediately. It wasn't that much of course, mainly clothes, books, somethings to decorate his room. They agreed they would create most of their stuff at the store, but Leah renovated part of the garage into a workspace as they often brought work home with them and she didn't mind, she loved seeing the twins at work. Seeing them work so in sync and developing news things, it was truly amazing. Hermione came by a couple of nights a week to watch a movie, play games or just to have a nice dinner with the others. Hermione and Leah had started their private lessons at Hogwarts, they chose to have the same hours as the twins so they would have the same time off together.

And the lessons were going great, the thing that was most difficult for her was potions. There were so many ingredients and actions to take before completing a potion. The easy ones she had mastered quickly because it made her think about cooking but the more that came to it, the harder it got.

She was agitated as she came from a day full of failed potions and stepped out the floo in her house. The kitchen already had a great smell sending throughout the house. So, of course, she followed it and to no surprise George was cooking in the kitchen, singing loudly to one of the songs of the radio.

"Hey, you okay?" George asked worried as she dropped down on one of the barstools in front of him.

"I had fucking potions today." She grumbled, letting her head fall on her arms.

"Still having trouble with it?" George reached over and gently rubbed her arm. "You know what..." George started, suddenly having an idea. "Why don't you come to work sometime this week?"

Leah lifted her head and looked confused at George. "What?"

"I'm restocking and I know you've been really interested in our stuff. Why don't you come with us and see and help me make some of our things. Maybe if you find it lucrative or even remotely interesting, you'll get a hang of it."

Leah frowned as she thought it over, before looking at George with a smile. "I can try that; I would give anything to find a way to learn it."

"Great, I'm opening the shop tomorrow at 8 this week, when Verity gets there at 9, I'll start in the back, then you can come over."

"No, I'll help you set up." She smiled before she took a piece of paper from the counter and scribbled a quick note. "Let me just send Hermione a message." With a wave of her wand, the paper burned up and was gone. George looked at the little puff of smoke that still lingered.

"What was that?"

"Oh, I've sent Hermione a fire message."

"A fire message?"

"I found it in one of the books in the restricted section. It's handy and easy, but once you've read it, the paper burst into flames and it's gone, and only the person for who it's destined for can read it. So, I only use it with Minerva and Hermione. You and Fred would forget the moment the paper disintegrated." She chuckled, looking at George's mock hurt as he stirred his pot. "What are you making anyway? It smells delicious."

George slapped her hand away when she reached over. "You have to wait until tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?" Leah whined.

"Yes, you have other plans tonight."

"Do I now?" Leah asked, excitement in her voice as she cocked an eyebrow. George grinned at her before taking an envelope out of his back pocket and slides it over to her on the countertop. Leah looked intrigued at the envelope in front of her before she tore open the side and took out the letter.

Hi, love

With everything going on the last couple of weeks, I still haven't taken you on a real and proper date, and that just won't do!

I'm just finishing up here at the shop, please meet me here at 8. I'll be waiting.

Yours Fred

She smiled the whole time she read and re-read the letter, when she looked back up George had his famous Weasley grin plastered on his face. He knew exactly what his brother had been planning, he may even had helped him.

" You know what he has planned, don't you?" She asked with a cocked eyebrow as she lowered her letter.

"I know everything." He his grin still in place. "Better get dressed, don't want to let Freddie boy waiting too long." He tilted his head to the stairs. "Up you go."

Leah shook her head smiling before she hopped of her barstool and walked to the door, before she excited the kitchen, she looked over her shoulder. "What should I wear?"

"You know Fred doesn't matter what you wear, but he may have left something in your room." George winked.

Leah's heart fluttered as she turned and headed up the stairs. When she opened the door to her room, she saw a clothing bag hanging on her four-poster bed. Curiously she walked closer and pulled the zipper open. Her mouth fell open as she took out a floor-length marine blue dress with woven spaghetti straps. Her hand went over the soft fabric as she took in one of the most beautiful dresses she has ever seen. With a smile she let the dress hang from her bed as she walked to the bathroom to get ready. After a quick shower, she French braided her hair and let in fall to one side with a wave of her wand, she tiptoed back to her room in just her towel and with giddy excitement put on the dress Fred picked out for her. When fully dressed she stepped in front of the floor-length mirror and took it in. It had a split on the right that stopped a few centimetres above her knee, it had a low back that showed her bra. She frowned as she looked in the mirror over her shoulder. She took off her bra and lifted her breast with a wave of her wand. Happy with the way she looked she went over to her vanity desk and took her crescent necklace from the jewellery tree that was stationed there. She didn't put on any make-up or anymore jewellery, after she put on black ankle strap heals, she headed back down to see George putting off the stove.

He turned when he heard her heals click on the stone kitchen floor. His mouth dropped open as he saw her come in. "Merlin, Leah! You look absolutely amazing." He stepped closer and took her hand, twirling her around.

"It's the dress." She smiled as George stopped the twirling.

"No, it isn't. You make the dress look good, believe me." He grinned. "Didn't think Fred had such good taste."

"Hm, I was surprised as well." She leaned passed George and swooped her finger in the pot on the stove and took a quick taste.

"Oi!" George yelled, pushing her back.

"But it smells so good." Leah whined. "Taste amazing too." She grinned up at him.

"You're too impatient."

"You're one to say."

George just shrugged with a grin. "Go on, I don't think Fred will let you starve."

"Alright, alright." She kissed his cheek. "Good night, Georgie."

"Wait let me apparate you over." He linked their arms and disappeared with a pop. A second later she was standing at the just closed down shop, only the light of the shop window where their bestselling products were on display and in the back of the store was on.

"Night." He said as he kissed her cheek. "Don't do anything I wouldn't do." He called after, she grinned before he apparated back to the house.

She pushed the door handle down and the door opened. The shop was dead quiet as the door closed behind her, closing of the sound of Diagon Alley.

"Fred?" She called in the empty store, but there came no reply. She walked further into the shop, letting her hands graze over the products she passed. The back office was empty too, when she looked up the stairs, she saw light coming from under the door. Taking in a nervous breath, she lifted her dress and climbed the stairs. She didn't really know why she was nervous; she and Fred had been inseparable since the day they met. Of course, they never really had a real date before. Yes, they had nights alone in the house watching a movie, getting dinner, but they never really been out on a date. And with the dress he had got her, she felt like this must be something special, something new for the both of them. When she reached the landing, she listened for sounds coming from the flat above the shop, but again she was met with silence. Again, she reached for the door handle and the door opened with ease. The kitchen and the living room were empty, she frowned as she walked into the hallway towards the bed- and bathrooms. That's when she heard Fred sighing in frustration from the bathroom. She walked closer and leaned against the doorframe as the door stood open. Fred was frowning in front of the mirror as his hand went through his hair, probably for the millionth time. She watched him, biting her lip as her eyes went over his body. He stood there only wearing his towel low on his waist, water droplets still rolling down his chest and back. Fred groaned as he leaned forward grabbing the edges of the sink. Leah saw her chance and walked behind him, she circled her arms around her waist and kissed his back. Fred stiffened when he felt her behind her, but relaxed as she spoke.

"Why so frustrated?" She whispered in his back. Fred straightened up and turned in her arms, a large smile on his face. But that quickly changed when he saw her in the dress. He swallowed thickly as his eyes roamed over her.

"I-hm." Fred cleared his throat, his ears already red. "You look gorgeous." He rested one hand on her hip, pulling her closer and one on her cheek, before he kissed her. She leaned in and deepened the kiss, pulling him even closer, if possible, on the towel on his waist. Fred groaned in her mouth as she unwrapped the towel and took him in her hand. It took him everything to pull back and stare in her eyes, both full of lust. "This wasn't the reason I asked you here." He said between heated breaths.

"I know." She said, biting her lips as she took him in again. He leaned his head against hers and whispered.

"The things you do to me." He said before kissing her again. His mouth travelled south as he pushed the woven strap aside, letting it fall on her arm, revealing her bare breast. He took on in his mouth and her head fell back, enjoying the way Fred roamed over her body. One of his hands found the split and went through it, finding her already wet knickers as his fingers grazed it. His head went even lower before he knelt down in front of her. He pushed the dress aside before taking of her knickers. With one hand he lifted her leg and placed it over his shoulder, before his mouth found her centre. Oh, the way Fred knew her body. He knew it that well that it didn't take long for her to come as she pressed the heel of her foot in his back. His hand roamed the thighs as he stood back up, still with the lust in his eyes. Leah was catching her breath as let her head rest against his, a smile on her lips.

"I wouldn't mind starting every date like that." Fred said with a lopsided grin.

"Hm." She hummed in agreement; eyes closed. "So, still nervous?"

"Me? Nervous?" Fred chuckled. She opened her eyes again and cocked her eyebrow as she pulled her head away from him. "Alright, I was. Been planning this for over a week. Why did you come early?"

"I didn't." She said with a smile. "I arrived exactly at eight. You were probably in front of the mirror too long." She winked.

"Oh." He said softly, ears turning pink again. "Well, I better get dressed then."

"Are you sure?" She asked seductively as her hand found its way to his still hard member, stroking it slowly. Fred groaned as he let his head fall on her shoulder. She let it go and pushed him against the wall. Her hand roamed over his torse, slowly going down. She pushed her dress back before she kneeled down in front of him, her eyes firmly locked on his when she took him in. He groaned as his eyes were fixed on her, one hand grabbing the towel on the rack next to him, his other softly on her shoulder, letting her choose the pace. It didn't take long for him either as he was still wound up from her only minutes earlier.

After they cleaned themselves up, Fred went to the bedroom alone to get ready, not trusting themselves, if they would've gone together, they probably wouldn't have left the bedroom. After a few minutes, Fred came back to the living room as she sipped on a glass of wine. Fred wore a marine blue blazer, with a black jean. He twirled her around as he walked close and took him in his arms, planting a soft kiss on her lips.

"Ready for our first date?" He smirked.

"Been ready for ages." She grinned, placing another kiss on his lips. "You look very handsome."

"I have to up my game after choosing your dress." He winked as he offered his arm. She looped hers through it with a smile and followed him to the back of the hallway. She raised an eyebrow as they stood in the empty hallway. Fred let her arm go before he reached it over his head, pulling on a rope that hung above their heads. A wooden staircase unfolded in front of them. "Ladies first."

Leah took the railing tightly before she climbed the stairs. She looked back when Fred didn't follow. "Like the view?" She asked with a teasing voice. Fred shook his head, clearing his mind before grinning widely at her and followed her up the stairs. The moment she reached the top, her breathing stopped. They were standing on top on the shops' building. The roof was enclosed by an old iron fence with ornaments decorating it. But that wasn't the only thing that decorated it, strings of lights were woven around the fence, all around the roof. A few lights hovered overhead, shining a soft dull light on them. On her right was a small round table, dinner already served under a statis charm, candles in between the plates. On her left was a blanket and pillows on the ground, making a cosy nook to cuddle up.

"Fred." She whispered. Fred stepped behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, bringing her flush against his body. He nestled his head in the nook of her neck, breathing in her scent. "This is... wow."

"I wanted our first date to be special."

She turned in his arms and wrapped her arms around her neck. "You are amazing. The date, the dress, this." She gestured one hand to the roof. "I don't deserve all of this."

"You deserve even more." He whispered against her lips. "I love you. I'm so in love with you I can't even think straight." He chuckled. "I never felt like this before."

"Me neither." She cupped his cheek and traced her thumb over it. "I love you too. It's stupid, since you're living with me, but every time I see you my stomach flutters. I was nervous about tonight too, you know. And I didn't even find out about it two hours ago."

"I've been a wreck for the past week. Trying to get everything ready without you finding out."

"I had honestly no idea. But it probably helped since I was at Hogwarts most of the time." She smiled. "Now." She looked behind her. "What's the plan?"

"Dinner first."

"Thank God! I'm starving!"

Fred chuckled as he led her to the small table and held out the chair for her. Fred took of the stasis from the food and the smell swirled around her, she smiled as she recognized the scent.

"This smells exactly like the food George was making earlier."

"He might have helped with the food." Fred gave her a lopsided grin as he poured her a glass of wine. "Did he say something about this?"

"No, he said he was making this for tomorrow, lying git." She grumbled with a smile. "He must've apparated right onto the roof after I left."

"Like I said, had it all planned out." He winked. "Now dig in."

Soft music was playing in the background and after they finished George's creme brulé, he pulled her to her feet and held her close as they slow danced around the roof. She kicked of her heels, making her suddenly a few centimetres shorter, so she had to look up at him. Their eyes were locked on each other throughout their dancing. They felt happy and complete in each other's arms. After a few slow songs, Fred started to begin twirling and dipping her in an exaggerated way, making her laugh loudly.

After the dancing, they sat down on the extra soft blanket on the ground. Fred rested against the pillows as he pulled Leah on to his chest as they watched the sunset in the distance. The stars were starting to appear, filling the sky. She hummed in his chest as his arms wrapped securely around her.

"This has been the most amazing date I ever been on." She mumbled in his chest.

"It's not over." She heard the grin in his voice. She tilted her head in surprise and like she expected saw the grin in place.

"Oh, really?"

Fred winked and waved his wand in front them. "Remember when you told me about those drive-ins?"

"Yeah." She said slowly looking around.

"Well, I left out the cars." He said when a movie started to show in the air in front of them. Leah pushed herself completely up as the movie was clearly in front of them.

"How?"

"I've been planning this date for a week, but I've been working on this for over a month. George helped me design it." He pulled a little box from under the pillow on his side. "This was the first one we made, but it still had some flukes. That one." He pointed at the small box under the movie, that she didn't notice before. "Is the only working one. We're planning on bringing it on the market soon, but we're still figuring out how to put multiple movies into it."

She grabbed his cheeks and kissed him deeply. "You're an absolute genius." She pulled back and saw the blush on his cheeks. "Gods, I love making you blush." She snickered before she kissed him again.
