Chapter 43

...Travis's POV...

I pull (Y/N) close to me as she sits there, she begins to cry a little. I look over to Gene and roll my eyes 'figures he's a Shadow Knight, he fits the title perfectly.' I say in my head, I turn back to (Y/N). She doesn't say anything, I tilt her head up lightly. Tears stain her cheeks and her eyes bloodshot, I smile at her. "T-thanks..." She says up to me, (Y/N) turns her head to Gene."I'm gonna go check on Dante." Gene says leaving the room, I watch him leave.

I hug her lightly, thoughts turn in my head. 'Did she know?' I kiss her forehead and decide to ask later. She hugs me tightly. "Promise m-me... that you'll stay with me?" (Y/N) stutters through the tears, I smile sweetly at her. "Why would I ever leave you?" "I don't know, maybe you'll decide you don't want the baby and leave me or we—" I kiss her on the lips and then pull away, she stares into my eyes. "I would never leave my 'family'..." I hug her tightly, then I continue. "And nothing will happen between us, if I have anything to do with it." 

...(Y/N)'s POV...

"I would never leave my 'family'..."Travis hugs me tightly, then he continues. "And nothing will happen between us, if I have anything to do with it." My heart flutters at the sound of that he already sees us as a... family. I kiss his cheek when Gene walks back in, he just crosses his arms. "(Y/N), Mom wants us home." I just nod standing up, I wave to Travis. He smiles and waves back, we walk out of the house with Dante.

All of us climb into the car, Gene starts the engine. I'm sitting in the passenger seat and Dante is in the back, I stare out the window for the remainder of the short ride home.
