Chapter 28

Gene, Zenix, Sasha, and I start running through the park eventually making it into town, Gene leads us to his house. We all climb through the second story window into Gene's room. The cop runs past Gene's house, everyone (besides Zenix) start laughing. "This just made my day a lot better." I say through the laughter. "That was fun, I haven't been that close to being caught in a long time." Gene says calming down."FUN!? GENE HOW WAS THAT FUN, I HAVEN'T GONE TO JAIL YET AND I'M NOT PLANNING ON GOING THERE NOW!!" Zenix yells at Gene."Shut-up Zenix, don't be such a drama queen." Gene mocks Zenix."I'm just happy we gotta away." Sasha comments, they all look at me."What?" I ask crossing my arms."Why did you say that "that made my day better"." Gene asks."Umm..." I look out the window and the cop was coming back, I quickly duck my head. Gene looks through the window as well and does the same.

Soon we all are trying to stay out of sight, there's a loud bang at the door. I sigh, I stand up and Gene grabs my wrist."What are you doing!?" He whisper-yells."Trust me." I tell him."Fine." He sighs and lets go of my wrist. I walk down the stairs and open the door, and smile."Hello, can I help you?" I asks with a confused look."Yes... uhh... wait aren't you (Y/N)?" He says. 'Shit it's the cop from earlier!' "Umm... y-yes. Why, do I know you?" I stuttered. "Don't play dumb with me! Now that I think about I don't think your father does abuse you I think it's was all a lie!" He yells."THAT WAS NO LIE!! DO YOU WANT TO SEE THE SCARS... THE BASEMENT!?!?" I yell."Wait... your being abused!?" Gene yells panicked, I turn to see him at the top of the stairs."Uhh... Gene you weren't supposed to hear that." I tell him, the cop stands there. I hear the sound of hand cuffs, I panic and turn around throwing him aside. I step backwards and look at my wrists the scars from when I was chained in the basement, I help the cop to his feet. " I'm sorry the cuffs scared me." I say, regretting my actions."I'm sorry miss, but your coming with me." I nod my head, he takes me out of the house and into the police car. "You have the right to remain silent anything you say can and will be used against you..." he continues the classic cop speech.
