Chapter 20: Logan's Birthday

We get to the apartment, and I open the car door to get out. He stays in the car though, and I raise an eyebrow.

"Aren't you coming?" I ask confused. He looks up at me.

"I don't want to bother you when you aren't feeling well." He explained and I nod.

"Can...can you at least walk me to the door?" I ask trying to get him to come inside to see his party. He nods then gets out of the car.

He wraps an arm around my shoulders.

"Thank you for making my birthday worth enjoying," he whispers in my ear, then sneaks a kiss on my cheek again.

I get a weird feeling in my stomach. Wait, am I actually sick?

I wipe my cheek, getting rid of his lip germs.

"Is this going to be a normal thing for you?" I ask amused. He smirks and nods. We walk up to the door and he knocks. The door is opened, and I walk in.

Logan stays behind though.

"You can come in, Logan." I said. He looks up at me and shakes his head.

"I better go-"

"Please come in?" I beg. He needs to see his party.

"Okay," he says simply. "Didn't know you did this kind of stuff on the first date."

"I don't," I reply. "Hey it wasn't even a date!" I point out and he smirks. We walk further into the apartment to the family room and the lights are out.

"Why the hell are the lights-"

"SURPRISE!!!" Everyone yells as I turn on the lights. I see Sam recording Logan's reaction on his phone. I need to get him to send that to me.

Logan's expression was priceless. He was completely surprised, and when it first happened he jumped. I'm currently holding onto the wall from laughing so hard. I'm trying to catch my balance.

"W-what the hell-THANK YOU GUYS!" He said and went to Brianna and hugged her. And then Sam, and then went in a line hugging everyone. He turned around and ran towards me and I hold my arms out expecting a hug.

He grabs my waist and picks me up. I automatically latch my arms around his neck and he swings me around. I hear Brianna say 'awe' in the background.

Logan continues to turn in circles swinging me around then puts me on the ground. He then pulls me close to him and gives me a tight hug. This felt nice...hugging him. Only one problem though.

"Logan..I c-cant breath," I say, my lungs feel like they have been crushed. He doesn't squeeze as tight but he doesn't let go.

"Thank you Alex," he says then burries his face into my shoulder.

Holy shit I'm gonna be sick. I don't know why though, I don't remember eating anything bad..?

"No problem," I say then kiss the top of his head. Oh my god, did I seriously just do that?

"Happy birthday," I whisper into his ear.

"HOLY SHIT. SAM LOOK. LOGALEX IS HAPPENING. OH MY GOD" Brianna yells from in front of us.

We separate, but his hold on my waist doesn't move. I detach my arms around his neck and put them by my side.

"Not again, Bri" I say and face palm. She gives me an evil smile.

"CAKE TIME!" Sam says from the kitchen. I look up and start to move, but forget Logan's holding my waist.

"Um...can you let go please?" I ask awkwardly. Logan looks at his arm and his cheeks turn pink.

"Y-yeah," he said and removed his arm from my waist.

We walked towards the kitchen where the cake is. Logan sat down in front of the cake and it said

'HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOGAN' on it.

"Okay time to sing!" I say clapping my hands together.

"HAAAPPPY BIIIRTHDAAAY TOO YOOOOU. HAPPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU. HAPPY BIRTHDAAAY TO LOGAN!-" everyone sang, but when everyone said 'logan' I said 'asshole' which Logan glared at me for. I smiled sheepishly.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOO YOOOOU!" They finish. He smiles then sits there for a while thinking of a wish. He then looks around the room and stopped on me and I mouthed 'Make a wish' he stared at me for a second, then nodded.

He closed his eyes, and then blew out the candles. Everyone clapped and cheered.

"PRESENTS!!" Brianna exclaims.

"Brianna we didn't even eat the cake yet," I pointed out. She then says "oh" and grabs the knife to cut the cake.

Sam then cuts the cake and gave it to whoever wanted some.

"NOW PRESENTS!" Brianna says excited. I laugh.

"Now it's time for presents, Brianna." I say slightly amused.

Logan and everyone else walk into the family room.

I sit beside the presents and Logan sits in front of me. I hand him one of them.

"Here you go," I said and smiled. He takes it and quickly opens it. He pulls out 3 nerf guns, lucky bastard.

The next 15 minutes is of him opening presents. He got a new watch, money, iTunes gift cards, clothes, and there are 2 presents left. Sam, and mine.

"OPEN MINE!" Sam says excited. Logan raises an eyebrow but does what he said.

"Okay," he says and rips the wrapping paper. Sam put it into a box as well. Making things more complicated then they need to be.

Logan looks at the present and laughs, blushing a little.

"What is it?" I ask, interested and amused.

Logan shows me the box.

"Condoms," he says and we both start laughing.

"Hey! I'm too late to be an uncle. I need to make sure your using protection," Sam defends.

"Anyway, ALEX'S PRESENT!" Logan says excited, while I hand him a small box. He raises an eyebrow.

"I expected this to be bigger, but this will have to do," he said kidding.

"Ass," I mumbled under my breath. He smirks.

"Mine is nice isn't it?" He said and chuckles. I mumble "mhmm" but he didn't hear it. He opens the present and smiles confused.

"You don't like it?" I ask. He quickly shakes his head.

"No, I like it" he said smiling. I smile back.

"What is it?" Brianna asks looking over my shoulder to get a better look. She gasps.

"Woah..." Brianna says softly.

Sam comes over and smirks.

"Nice choice Alex."

I don't get why she's gasping and all that. I just got him boxers with Sam's face on it.

"Thanks Alex, I've always wanted to have Sam's face on my underwear," he said. I burst out laughing, until I have tears coming out of my eyes.

"Wait, oh look. There's Liam Hemsworth too," he says with fake excitement. I got him 3 pairs of underwear, one with Finnick's face, one with Liam's face, and one with Harry Styles' face.

"And Harry Styles? Awe, Alex you shouldn't have."

"Ahh, but I did," I said wiping my tears. This is great.

"So, did you talk to all of your guests yet?" I ask him. There are at least 10 people I don't know that are here.

"I- yeah, a few." He mumbles.

"You should introduce me to some. I might gain an extra friend so I can boost it up to 4 friends!" I exclaim excited, while he laughs at me. Rude.

"Okay," he said chuckling. He stands up and holds out his hand to help me up. I grab it and he pulls me up, without almost any problem at all! What?

"Lets go," I said.

He leads us over to a group of about 4 people. Three boys and one girl, and the girl is currently glaring at me. Oh, I remember her! She's the choreographer's daughter! Why is she glaring at me though?

"This is Alex. Alex this is Freddie, Jacob, and Zach." He said introducing the boys.

"Wow thanks for introducing me," the girl said scoffing, but smiling. He tenses.

He tenses. I wonder what he has against her?

"I'm Rebecca," she says sticking out her hand, and I shake it. "Sorry, this one seems to lack manners," she said sending a playful glare towards Logan. He gives her a fake smile.

"Haha- sorry," he said awkwardly and sheepishly. He fakes a laugh.

"Oh, I know you! You're Linda's daughter right?" I ask. Her smile fades a bit.

"Yeah and you're Alex," she said smiling fakely. "Logan's...female lead" she twitched.

I laugh awkwardly, and mumble a small yeah.

"Logan may I speak to you...for a moment?" She asks smiling sweetly towards Logan. HELL NO, DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE WITH THESE STRANGERS.

"Y-Sure," he said, nervously. If it was under a different circumstance, I would laugh at him. But I'm not because she scares the crap out of me too.

She grabs his arm and leads him to the balcony.

"So...Alex, correct?" One of the boys, Jacob, asked. I nod shyly.

"Yep, that's me." I said awkwardly. What's with me and being awkward today?

"You star in this movie, correct?" Jacob asked. I nod.

"Hmm," he said deep in thought.

"So...h-how do you know Logan?" I ask attempting to start conversation.

"We are Rebecca's cousins, so we met him through her." Freddie responded.

"How does she know him?" I ask. They all look at each other.

"Umm...she's sorta..Haha...obsessed with him, I guess." Zach says. I laugh slowly.

"Really? So I guess that's why she sends me glares all the time?" I ask slightly scared but amused. They smile weakly.

"Yeah, but I guess she has a reason to. Him being taken and all." Zach said.

That's when I burst out laughing.

"You- You think that we- You think me and Logan-" I start can't even form a sentence. They all look at me amused.

"I- we aren't together," I finally got out. Jacob perks up, and smirks.

"So...You come here often?" He asks lamely. I let out a small laugh.

"I live here," I stated amused. He then goes wide-eyed and goes red.

"What a fail," Freddie mumbles and I laugh.

"I'll go find Logan," I said and walked towards the balcony. I lean against the wall and peer outside to see if they are finished or not.

They are currently talking so I guess they aren't. I put my elbow on the wall and wait.

"Logan...don't be like that," I hear Rebecca say. Wait, I can't eavesdrop.

"No Rebecca, please don't." Logan's voice says. What the hell, I'm going to anyway. If they don't know it won't hurt them right?

It's silent for a while.

"It's because of her isn't it?" Her? Who's 'her'....wait does Logan have a lady friend?

I can't help but feel a little sad, I don't know why though.

I shake my head to get rid of the previous thoughts.

I smirk. Awe, little Logan's growing up.

Logan sighs.

"Rebecca-"

"No! It IS her isn't it? You are ditching me, for HER?!" Rebecca's voice echoes through the sky. I can tell she's almost in tears.

"Yeah...it is her. But Rebecca you have to understand-"

"What the hell does she have that I don't?" She asks. I turn my face to look at them and Logan is turning all red, and Rebecca is crying. I feel bad for her, even though I don't know her.

"Becca-" Logan starts, but Rebecca shakes her head.

Then she does the unexpected.

She grabs his face and kisses him.

He looks too stunned to even move right now, let alone kiss back. So Rebecca just pulls his closer and is pretty much stuffing her tongue down his throat.

I don't know why, but I feel a sudden pang in my chest.

What the frick was that?

I look back at them and he's still frozen.
