You Taste Like Chocolate
00:04, 27 September 2025“And cut! Perfect!” Director Bang’s booming voice shattered the pin-drop silence of the set.
I stayed lying on the cold studio floor, eyes fixed on the ceiling, letting his words echo in the distance. I’m doing what I love. Then why does it feel so heavy? Why am I sad?
Jungkook had been gone for two days. Too busy to call. Too busy even to text, except for a rushed “I’ll call later” that never came. Maybe I was just missing him more than I cared to admit.
“Mr. Kim? Mr. Kim?”
A soft, unfamiliar female voice tugged me out of my thoughts. I turned my head and found a young woman standing nearby, her face framed by nervousness.
“Yes?”
“Sir, today’s work is over. Please don’t stay on the cold floor… your back will hurt later.” Her voice was timid but polite.
I smiled faintly. “It’s alright. I’m not fifty-two yet. But… who are you? I’ve never seen you here before.”
She fumbled, then bowed her head. “I should have introduced myself earlier. I’m Park Mi-So, sir. I’ll be working under you from today.”
“I see you’ve introduced yourself, Secretary Park,” a familiar deep voice said.
I looked up to find Ahn Joon-ki striding toward me, tall and confident.
“Why are you still on the floor, hyung-nim?” he asked, offering his hand to me.
“I was waiting for my manager to finally help me up,” I teased, grabbing his hand and rising to my feet.
“Hyung-nim, the schedule’s clear. Should I drop you home?” He handed me an iced Americano with a small, knowing smile.
“Yes, let’s go. And Secretary Park,” I added, glancing back with a soft grin, “be at ease. I’m not a bear. I won’t eat you.”
Mi-So nodded quickly, and I followed Joon-ki out.
As I walked toward the van, a sharp voice called out behind me. “Tae? Tae, is that you? Oh my god!”
I turned. A woman stood under a tree, waving her hand wildly. Kang Na-ra.
Memories hit me—Na-ra, my first school friend before she transferred away. I smiled as she rushed toward me and pulled me into a hug. For a fleeting moment, I swore Jungkook’s eyes were on me. My chest tightened, scanning the area… but there was no one.
Kim Taehyung, you idiot. Jungkook is in Japan. He’s not here just because you’re thinking of him.
“Long time no see, man! How are you?” Na-ra’s voice pulled me back. “What are you staring at? We meet after ages and you’re spacing out? I’m hurt, Taehyung-ah!”
“Sorry, sorry. What are you doing here? I heard you’re a visual director now.”
“I’m on my way to meet Leon Jeremy. Set 3. Oh god, I’m late! Tae, let’s meet properly another day. Give me your number—I’ll call.”
After we exchanged contacts, she hugged me again and hurried away. I watched her disappear into the distance, a faint smile lingering, before heading to my van.
Tomorrow is Jungkook’s birthday. Should I call him tonight? He won’t mind, right?
That thought stayed with me as I drifted off in the car.
When Joon-ki shook me awake, we were at my apartment. I rubbed my eyes, got into the elevator and reached my floor. I tried unlocking the door, only to notice it was ajar.
Did I forget to lock it? Or is my head so full of him that I can’t even remember anymore?
Sighing, I ruffled my hair and stepped inside. The scent hit me instantly—rich, familiar, unmistakably his. Jungkook’s perfume.
Have you lost your mind, Taehyung? He’s in Japan. Stop imagining things.
I pinched the bridge of my nose—then froze. Warm arms slid around me from behind, pulling me tight.
“J… Jungkook?” My own voice shook, trembling as tears threatened to spill.
“Hyung,” he whispered, turning me in his arms, holding me as if the world might tear us apart.
I stroked his damp hair gently, heart thundering. “How… how are you here in two days? Didn’t you say three?”
“I worked overnight. Forty hours straight. Just to finish early. Just to breathe you in again. But…” His eyes darkened, jealousy flickering through them.
“But what?”
“You smell different. Not like you.” He leaned closer, sniffing at my shirt like a restless wolf.
“Were you a sniffer dog in your past life?” I teased weakly. “Na-ra hugged me earlier. Maybe her perfume—”
His eyes snapped to mine, blazing, untamed. Fire. Possession.
“Hyung,” he said, voice low and rough. “You’ve been bad. You need to be punished.”
Before I could react, his arms slid around my waist, lifting me effortlessly.
“Jungkook—what are you—”
“I’m going to erase every trace of her touch. Under the shower, hyung. I’ll wash her scent away. I’ll replace it with mine.”
His words vibrated against my skin, his tone feral and hungry.
The shower roared to life as he pressed me against the wall, unbuttoning my shirt with urgent fingers. Water splattered across our skin, but it did nothing to cool the fire consuming us. His mouth found mine, silencing every word, every protest.
He pinned my hands above me, his body pressing close, water running in rivulets down his face and dripping onto my lips. His kisses grew frantic, claiming, searing. The contrast of cold water and his feverish touch made me shiver.
“Hyung, you know me,” he breathed, biting softly at my earlobe. “I’m possessive.”
“Jung—” My words drowned in another kiss.
He lifted me, his strength solid beneath me, and I clung to him. The shower cascaded down, mingling with our moans. His lips roamed my skin, warm and desperate, while his heartbeat thundered against my chest.
“Don’t hide it. Moan for me, hyung,” he whispered, voice ragged. “I want you to remember. To know you’re mine. How could you let her touch you? I won’t let you go until you smell like me.”
Pleasure overtook me, shattering thought. My body trembled under his relentless embrace.
“Say my name,” he demanded, his breaths growing uneven. “Call me. Hyung, please—say it.”
“Jungkook-ah! Jungkook-ah!” My cries mixed with the rhythm of water and heartbeat. I showered kisses across his damp, beautiful face as he buried himself in me, leaving me undone.
When it ended, his grip gentled. He set me down slowly, breathless, and wrapped a robe around me with tender care. The primal fire in his eyes softened into warmth, his satisfied smile boyish and radiant.
“Stop smiling, you idiot rabbit,” I muttered, blushing as I walked from the bathroom.
He followed, laughing, before collapsing onto the bed with his head in my lap.
“Hyung… I love you so much it hurts.” He took my hand and pressed it to his chest. “Here. It hurts here.”
I bent down, kissing the spot over his heart. “Then let me heal it.”
His grin widened. “Hyung… are you trying to seduce me again? Should we go for another round?”
“You crazy, horny bunny. Why do you always act like this?”
“Because of you. You make me crazy.” His voice dipped, teasing.
I glanced at the clock—midnight. “Enough. Get dressed. I’ll get something to eat.”
I slipped out of the room, retrieving the cake I’d hidden earlier. When I returned, candlelight flickered across his face.
“Happy birthday, Jungkook,” I sang softly, setting the cake down. His eyes glistened as he closed them to make a wish.
So childish. So beautiful. I smiled silently, heart full.
As we cut the cake and fed each other, he suddenly leaned in, brushing frosting onto my lips with his finger. “We shouldn’t waste it. That’ll be my real birthday gift.”
He kissed me again, deep and sweet.
“You taste like chocolate, hyung,” he murmured, curling into me, his fingers stroking my hair.
“Shut up and sleep. I have work tomorrow.”
His arms tightened around me, and I closed my eyes, surrendering to the warmth.
Jungkook, do you even know how much I love you? You’ve become my weakness, my salvation. How did someone like me fall so hopelessly for you?
