Carly’s POV:
“So we’re going on a little family dinner tonight,” Harry tells me.
It was our last day in Holmes Chapel, and tomorrow was our flight to Melbourne, Austrailia where our next concert was held. Gemma was feeling as good as new, but she still had to take some medicines to prevent any head aches from coming on. The past week had been so fun, and I’m pretty sure Holmes Chapel has become one of my favorite places. Harry had taken me to all of these places he used to visit as a kid, and we just spent some time walking around. He barely got stopped for any autographs or anything, because this was a small town and everyone knew him before he even auditioned for the X Factor. A couple of people stopped to take pictures with me because they’ve never seen me in person before, and I was kind of flattered. Harry didn’t seem to mind though.
“Where are we going?” I ask, sitting up from the bed. I had been lying down on the bed, contemplating the meaning of life.
Jokes. I was just bored.
“Some restaurant that opened up a few weeks ago,” he shrugs. “It’s kind of fancy.”
I give him a look. “Yeah, ‘cause I brought fancy clothes with me when we were visiting your home town to check on your sister. Harry, I have nothing to wear!”
“You can borrow something of Gemma’s,” Harry says.
“Harry – ” I was about to protest, but he grabbed my hand and pulled me to my feet.
“Come on,” he says, dragging me out of the room. I had no choice but to follow him out. He walked down the hall, dragging me along, and stopped in front of Gemma’s door. “Gems?” he knocks on the door.
“It’s open!” Gemma’s voice calls back.
With his other hand, Harry opened the door and we walked into Gemma’s room. She was sitting on the chair of her study table, reading what looked like a textbook, and looked at us. “So you know about the dinner tonight, right?” Harry asks her, and she nods. “Well, I forgot Carly doesn’t have anything to wear. Do you mind letting her borrow one of your dresses?”
Gemma sends me a grin, revealing dimples that matched Harry’s. “Of course not,” she says, standing up. “Come on, let’s see what I can give you.” Harry lets go of my hand and I walk to where Gemma is opening up her closet. Harry leaves the room, leaving the two of us girls, and Gemma goes through the dresses she owns. “No, no, no, no,” she mumbles, moving through dress to dress, until she stops. “Aha! This will be perfect,” she says, taking out a dress.
It was a gorgeous Audrey Hepburn blue velvet dress, with a thin leopard belt around the waist. It would go down and end a few inches above my knees, but over all it was beautiful. “Wow,” I gasp, taking the dress. “It’s gorgeous.”
Gemma grins. “I wore it like, once,” she tells me. “You can have it for tonight. You’ll look gorgeous.”
“Thanks, Gemma,” I smile gratefully.
“No problem,” she smiles. “Do you need shoes with that?”
I bit my bottom lip. “Yeah,” I mumble a bit sheepishly.
Gemma waves her hand dismissivley. “No big deal,” she says, and bends down to grab a pair of black platform pumps with high heels. “These would be go great.”
I take the shoes in my other hand and smile over at the older girl. “Thanks, Gemma,” I repeat.
“It’s totally fine,” she smiles. “I have to study for a test next week before we go, so I better get started.”
I nod. “Sure,” I say, walking out of the room. “Thanks again,” I smile, and then close the door.
I walk back towards Harry’s room, where I find him lying down on his bed with his arms up high as he holds his phone up and texts someone. He sees me walk in and sits up straight. “Did you get anything?”
I nod, showing him the shoes and the dress. “Yeah,” I smile.
“Great,” he grins. “We leave in two hours.”
I sigh, putting the stuff on the bed. “I better go shower.”
“Can I join you?” Harry winks cheekily.
I give him a look. “Not even in your dreams, babe.”
Harry smirks. “I wouldn’t be so sure of that.”
I roll my eyes at him and grab a towel, before walking into the bathroom and closing the door.
Harry’s POV:
“You almost ready, babe?” I ask, walking into my room while I button up my white dress shirt.
“Yeah,” Carly responds, and I stop dead in my tracks when I get a good look at her.
Her long light brown hair was straightened perfectly from root to end. She had on baby pink lip stick, think eye liner, some eyeshadow, and blush. Carly never over-did it with the make up, and that’s one of the many things on what I love about her. She can be beautiful without make up, and be beautiful without even trying. She was wearing the dress and shoes Gemma had let her borrow, and she looked stunning.

“Take a picture,” Carly’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts. “It’ll last longer.”
I smirk as I walk over to Carly, leaning down and pressing my lips against her soft ones. “You look gorgeous.”
A blush tinted Carly’s cheeks, and I’m sure it wasn’t the make up. “Thanks,” she smiles. “You look pretty good yourself,” she adds, pressing her palms against my chest.
“Oh, well, you know. I try,” I wink.
Carly laughs and asks, “Are we leaving now?”
I nod. “Yeah, come on.”
The two of us walk out of his room and down the stairs, where we meet my parents and Gemma. They all are dressed as well, and we make our way to the cars. Since we all won’t fit in one car, Carly and I take my mum’s while the rest drive in Robin’s. My phone starts buzzing, and since I’m driving, I can’t risk picking it up.
“Babe, can you check who that is?” I ask Carly.
From the corner of my eye, I see Carly pick up my iPhone and tap the screen. “Hello?” she picks it up. “Hey, Lou! Hold up.” She presses a button and says, “You’re on speaker, Lou.”
A grin forms on my face. “Hey, Boo!”
“HAZZA, MY BABY!” Louis’ voice yells through the speakers. “I MISS YOU SO MUCH!”
I let out a laugh as Carly just chuckles. “I miss you too, Boo Bear.”
“I can’t wait to see you!” he exclaims.
“Oh, I feel loved,” Carly pouts, causing me to crack a smile.
Louis laughs. “I miss you too, Carly,” he says. “I’m just mad ‘cause you stole Hazza from me.”
I roll my eyes. “You mad, bro?” Carly taunts Louis, causing me to laugh.
“I’m mad. I’m so mad,” Louis says, his voice straight out seriously. “So whatcha two doing?” he asks, back to his normal tone. “Nothing too dirty, right?”
“Louis,” I groan, and Carly puffs her cheeks. “We’re going out to a family dinner.”
“Ooooh,” Louis says. “I’m packing for tomorrow.”
“Sounds fun,” Carly chuckles.
“Harry, tell your girlfriend to shut up,” Louis says.
Carly looks over at me as I take a left turn. “Harry, tell your best friend that you love me more than him.”
I bite my bottom lip as Louis lets out a gasp. “He wouldn’t dare!”
I snicker. “Sorry, Lou. But I love Carly more.”
“Yes!” Carly does a little victorious fist pump, and Louis gasps louder.
“We have to go, Lou. We’re at the restaurant,” I tell him.
“This conversation is not over!” Louis yells before hanging up. Carly laughs and puts my phone down, and I park my car in a vacant parking spot.
Once I park the car, the two of us get out and walk towards the entrance of the restaurant, where we meet my family. We all walk in together, and I give the waiter my name and he leads us to our table. I sit down in between Mum and Carly as the waiter gives us our menus, and leaves us to decide what we want to eat.
We all decide on what to eat and once we give the waiter our orders, Mum starts up a conversation. “Where are you heading off to tomorrow?” she asks Carly and I.
“Austrailia,” I tell her. “We have a lot of shows around Australia, and then the tour’s over.”
“Are you returning to London after?” Robin asks, sipping his water. I nod, and he asks Carly, “Are you going with the lads?”
Carly shakes her head. “No, I’m going back to Los Angeles.”
“Any second albums coming up for you?” Gemma asks with a smile.
Carly laughs. “I sure hope so.”
******************
“I’ll see you soon, Mum,” I smile, hugging my mother.
“I’ll miss you, baby,” Mum says. Once we pull away from our hug, she says to me, “Don’t you ever let go of Carly.” She glances over at Carly, and I do too, and we see her talking to Gemma. I look back at Mum and she smiles. “She’s good for you, Harry. I like her.”
I grin. “I like her too.”
Mum laughs. “We all know you more than like her,” she says, and I blush. “Have a safe flight,” she gives me one last hug.
Mum goes to say goodbye to Carly, while I switch over to Gemma. She hugs me and says, “I like Carly. If you two end up breaking up, I’m not gonna let you hear the end of it, little brother.”
I chuckle, hugging her back. “I’ll remember that.”
Once we say goodbye to everyone, Carly and I get in Robin’s car and he drives us to the airport. When we finally get there, we say goodbye to Robin and walk to the security, our passports and tickets in hand. We had on our sunglasses, just in case no one recognizes us, and breezed through the check outs and everything.
We finally got on the plane and sat in our seats in first class, and waited for the plane to take off. Carly took off her glasses and sighed. “Back to the crazy concerts.”
I chuckle. “Back to the boys.”
“I miss those morons,” Carly smiles.
I laugh. “I do too.”
“Oh God, Louis is gonna kill you for that phone call earlier,” Carly laughs, remembering our conversation with Louis in the car earlier.
I kiss Carly’s temple and smile. “Guess he’s just gonna have to live with the truth.”
