Carly's POV:

It was the day that each of us were leaving for our last minute week off. The boys and I were at the airport with Kristen and Paul, waiting for our flights to leave. Liam and Louis were going to London together to meet up with Danielle and Eleanor and their flights were first, followed by Zayn who was going to Bradford, then Harry and I's flight to Holmes Chapel, and then lastly Niall's flight all the way back to Mullingar. We were all currently sitting in the private waiting room for our flights, and were just chilling.

To be honest, I'm so completely nervous to meet Harry's family. It's not like they don't sound like nice people - they do. I'm just worried if they will like me, and accept me as Harry's girlfriend. When he told my yesterday about his sister being in the hospital, and how he was crying, my heart broke. He cares so much for his sister, and him knowing what happened to her and being on the other side of the world while it did, most definitely is a hard thing. I know for a fact with Mum being pregnant and me not being with her, is kind of hard for me. I wanna be there for her while she's being harmonal and want to take care of her. But I know Dad is doing a good job of it.

I sat in the uncomfortable plastic chair as I stared out the giant windows. Planes were being either parked or were landing or taking off. Harry noticed me shifting in my seat, and then chuckled. "Come here," he laughs.

Harry wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me on to his lap. I laugh slightly as I'm placed on his lap, my side resting against his chest and my head tucked under his chin. The side of my head rested against his chest, and I could almost hear the steady beat of his heart. I sighed in content as my legs spread across my empty chair next to Harry. Across the room was Zayn slumping in his own chair, his eyes closed as he listened to music through his Beats, his head bobbing up and down to the rythim of whatever song he was listening to. Louis was texting away on his phone with a goofy smile on his face, probably texting Eleanor. Liam was talking to Paul about something, and Niall was eating Doritos while he stared out the window, a fasinated look on his face.

My head shifts a little so it's leaning against Harry's right upper fore arm. I glance up and see that he was staring off into a distance, his green eyes holding an intense stare with nothing in particular. My own right hand reaches up and my index finger traces the side of his face, causing him to look down at me. When his green eyes lock with my brown ones, a smile graces his soft, pink lips.

"Whatcha thinking about?" I ask him quietly.

Harry looks down at me, smiling slightly. "Gemma," he says, and I send him a small smile. He sighs a bit. "I just hope she wakes up soon."

The finger that was tracing the side of his face stopped, and I opened up my hand and rested it against his warm cheek. My thumb stroked his cheek and Harry leaned against my hand, and I bit my lip. "She'll be fine, Harry. It's going to be fine."

"Hopefully," he heaves a sigh.

A few minutes pass and it's time for Liam and Louis to board their flight. We stand up to say goodbye to them, and the two boys hug Harry and tell him that they hope Gemma will be okay. Once the two boys are gone, ten minutes go by and it's time for Zayn to go. He says the same thing to Harry, and then boards his plane. Half an hour later, it's time for Harry and I's flight. The two of us stand up and grab our carry on bags, and Niall also stands up.

"We'll see you soon, mate," Harry smiles, giving Niall some sort of bro-hug.

Niall grins. "Tell everyone I said hi, and give Gemma my wishes," he smiles.

Harry nods. "Will do, Nialler," he says.

After saying goodbye to Niall, I turn to Kristen. "I'll see you in a week, alright?" she smiles, and I nod. "Have fun, Carly."

Giving Kristen one last hug, Harry and I walk away and board the plane. The two of us sit in first class, with me taking the window seat and Harry sitting next to me. We buckle in our seat belts and wait for the plane to take off. Next stop: Holmes Chapel.

**************

We finally landed in Holmes Chapel, and Harry and I were gathering up our suitcases. My nerves were raking my body, at the thought of meeting Harry's family. I've never been with a guy too long enough to actually meet his family, so this is the first time I'm actually doing anything like this. What if his family doesn't like me? What if they hate me? All of these 'what ifs' were swirling through my head as I dragged along my carry on.

"Here, I got it," Harry says, reaching for my bag.

"No, I've got it," I say, dragging my bag away from Harry.

Harry chuckles. "Carly, I'll take it."

"Harry, I'll take it," I insist with a smirk, causing Harry to laugh.

"Fine then," he says.

The two of us walk out of the airport, not recognized, until a middle aged man in glasses stops us. "Harry!" he grins.

"Robin!" Harry exclaims, giving the guy a hug.

Oh snap, here we go.

Harry's POV:

"How are you, son?" Robin smiles as we pull away from our hug.

I smile, nodding. "I'm great. What about you?"

Robin grins wider. "I'm good," he says, and then his eyes land on Carly next to me. "You must be Carly, am I right?"

I glance at Carly, who seems a bit nervous but smiles anyway. "Yeah, that's me. Nice to meet you," she says.

Robin smiles. "Harry has been talking nonstop about you," he tells her. My eyes widen as Carly smirks at me, and I can feel my cheeks slightly heating up. "Come on, now. Let's get you home. Anne is dying to see you."

We get into Robin's beat up truck and he drives us home. I look out the window at the familiar streets of Holmes Chapel as they pass by, and I turn my head to see Carly sitting in the back seat, staring out the window as well, as her upper teeth chewed on her bottom lip and her left hand was formed into a fist and her chin rested on it. I could just tell that she was beyond nervous to meet my mum, but she has honestly nothing to worry about. When I had told Mum that I was bringing Carly along with me, I could practically hear her smile through her phone, one that I don't think she's being doing ever since Gemma's accident. So yeah, Carly has nothing to worry about. Robin already seems to like her, so that's one down and two to go, counting Gemma.

Robin finally pulled up to the familiar small house, and a smile formed on my lips. The grass of our front lawn seemed just as green as I last saw it, and my old home looked exactly the same before. Once Robin parked the car, I got out of the car as did Carly, and I walked around the car and stood by Carly. "You kids go on," Robin says, causing us to look at him. "I'll bring in your bags."

I nod and pull Carly along with me and we walk up the path way towards the front door. Once standing in front of the door, I ring the doorbell, and squeeze Carly's hand. "Don't worry," I tell her with a smile, causing her to smile back. A second later, the door swung open, and there stood my mother. She had the same dark brown, almost black hair and green eyes that always seemed to sparkle.

Mum's eyes landed on me and a wide grin spread across her face. "Harry!" She exclaims, wrapping me in a hug. I hug her back tightly, my face buried in my mum's shoulder. "It's so good to see you, sweetheart."

"You too, Mum," I reply. "I missed you."

"I missed you too, love," she says as we pull away. Her eyes then land on Carly, and she smiles once again. "Hello! You must be Carly, the girl Harry wouldn't shut up about."

Here we go again.

Carly laughs. "That's me," she says. "Nice to meet you, Mrs. Cox."

Mum waves her hand. "Please, call me Anne," she says, pulling Carly in for a hug. Carly seems a bit surprised, but then hugs Mum back. "It's nice to officially meet you, darling," Mum tells her after they pull away from the hug. "Sadly, it's not under the best of situations." Carly gives a sympathetic smile and Mum adds, "Come on in. It's a bit nippy outside."

She opens the door wider, letting Carly and I step inside. The house looks just as I remember it; quiet, cozy, and a warmth that you could feel whenever you're home. Mum leads us to the living room and we all sit down. Robin comes in a minute later, carrying Carly and I's bags. He places them on the floor after closing the door and walks towards us, taking a seat next to Mum. "So Carly," Mum suddenly says, looking at the girl next to me. "You're touring with the boys, right?"

Cary nods, smiling slightly. "Yes," she says.

"How's being with the boys? It gets crazy, doesn't it?" Mum laughs.

Carly smiles. "Calling it crazy is an understatement. These boys are downright mental. But I love them anyway."

Mum laughs, and I smile. "Tell me about it," she grins. "The last time the boys came here, they almost burned the house down because they wanted to bake a cake for Gemma."

"Speaking of Gemma," I sit up straight. "How is she?" I ask, eager to know about my sister's condition.

Robin sighs. "She still hasn't woken up," he says sadly. "We can visit her at four, that's when visiting hours are open."

I nod and let out a sigh, until I feel someone's hand wrap around my left one. I look and see Carly giving me a small smile whilst squeezing my hand. I smile back at her, keeping our interlocked hands on my lap. "I'm going to make some tea," Mum says, standing up. "Harry, dear, can you lend me a hand?"

"Sure, Mum," I say, and let go of Carly's hand and follow Mum into the kitchen, leaving Carly and Robin by themselves as Robin asks her about her family.

Walking into the kitchen, Mum takes out the tea kettle as I take out four mugs. "Carly seems like a really nice girl," Mum smiles, pouring water into the kettle.

I smile down at Mum, since I was a lot taller than her. "She is. She's amazing."

Mum smiles and puts the kettle on the stove and turns to me. "You really like her, don't you?" she asks.

I nod, biting my lip. "Yeah, I do."

"Then I'm happy for you, Harry," Mum grins. "Carly seems like a wonderful, beautiful girl. You two are good together."

"Thanks, Mum," I grin, looking out the window and seeing Carly and Robin laughing over something in the living room. I look back at Mum and ask her, "How long did they say that Gemma's gonna remain unconcious?"

Mum lets out a sigh. "I'm not sure," she says. "I just hope she's okay," she adds, and I see that she's almost in tears.

I clench my jaw as I see the tears gathering in my mum's eyes. The last thing a son or daughter wants is seeing their mother cry, let alone shed a single tear. "Mum," I sigh, wrapping her small body in a hug. She instantly hugs me back, crying in my shirt, and I rub her back. "Gemma's gonna be okay. She's gonna wake up soon. Don't worry," I soothe her. I rest my chin on the top of her head, hugging her tight, and I look out the window. My eyes lock with Carly's, who's no longer smiling or laughing, but is looking at Mum and I with a sad expression on.

She offers a small smile, but I know that she feels awful about this. I give back a small smile, but I know it doesn't reach my eyes. Hugging Mum back, I bury my face in her black hair as she cries. "Shh," I soothe. "Gemma's gonna wake up soon."

Just then, the door swings open, and in walks Robin. "I'll take her, Harry," he says quietly, and I nod.

Mum sniffs and pulls away from our hug, and Robin takes her up the stairs. I sigh, turning off the stove that had the kettle on; looks like no one's gonna be drinking tea. I swing the kitchen door open, which connects to the living room, and walk in to see Carly sitting by herself on her phone. She notices me walk in and puts her phone away, standing up.

"Is she alright?" she asks, sucking in her bottom lip.

I sigh, shaking my head as I stand in front of her, and bend down as I rest my forehead against hers. "No," I say quietly. "She's worried sick."

Carly's concerned brown eyes look into mine, and I let out another low sigh. "Why don't we walk around? Get your minds off of things?" she suggests. "We'll be back in time to see Gemma at the hospital."

I smile, nodding. "Yeah," I say. "Let's go into town."

Carly smiles and adjusts the beanie on her head as I wear my coat. I smiled as she put on the beanie on her head, looking over how cute she looked. She was wearing a black fitted top with a black cardigan over it, a high waisted floral skirt secured by a belt that looked like a bow, black leggings, and dark torquise boots. The black and white striped beanie laid loosely on the top of her head, her silky hair perfectly straight and her make up fitted to a natural amount. Once the two of us were ready, we walked out of the house and into the cool Cheshire air.

We walked down the pathway when an idea clicked in my head. "Wait, come here," I say, taking her warm hand in mine and dragging her to the direction of the place I had in my mind.

Carly laughs but walks along with me. We walk down the sidewalk and stop in front of the small building that was oh so familiar to me. Carly looks up at the small building, and then at me. She smiles as she reads off the sign. "W Mandeville?" she reads, and then smiles over at me. "Is this the bakery you worked at?"

I grin and nodded. "Yeah," I say. "Come on."

I open the door, letting the bell on top jingle, and I hold the door for Carly as she walks in, and I follow her. The familiar smell of baked goods intoxicated my nostrils and I smiled, remembering the times I worked here. "Well if it isn't Harry Styles," the familiar voice of my former boss, Markus, declared. My eyes drifted over where I saw Markus standing behind the counter wearing an apron and that regular smile on his face that never disappeared.

"Markus! Hey, mate!" I grin, and Carly and I walk over.

"What brings you here?" He asks, and then his eyes land on Carly. "And who's this lovely lady?"

I grin, wrapping my arm around Carly's shoulders. "This is Carly, my girlfriend," I smile proudly, and Carly smiles at Markus.

"Nice to meet you," she smiles, showing off her white teeth.

Markus grins, nodding. "Same to you, darling," he smiles, and then looks at me. "What can I get for you?"

I think for a moment, and then say, "We'll share a slice of red velvet cake," I tell him, causing Carly to grin, knowing its one of her favorites.

"Coming right up," Markus says.

As we wait, Carly looks at me. "Does this mean we can cross off going to town from our bucket list?" She asks me.

I let out laugh. "Yes we can."

****************

It was finally four o' clock, which meant visiting hours at the hospital were finally open. Hours were four to six, only two, so we wasted no time at getting to the hospital. Carly and I went to the hospital and met Mum and Robin there, and we went up to the ICU where Gemma was being held at. When we got to her room, I stopped in front of the door, not sure if I should go in or not.

"Go on, Haz," Carly's voice whispers in my ear as she gives me a slight push. "I'm gonna wait out here," she adds. I opened my mouth to protest but she cut me off. "Don't argue. You need to see your sister. Go."

I let out a sigh and nod, giving Carly's hand one last squeeze before letting it go. I put my hand on the door knob and push the door open. I take another breath before pushing it open and walking in. I closed the door behind me and turned fully around, and then my breath hitched in my throat. On the hospital bed was a pale figure with black hair, eyes closed, looking as if they were dead with a bandage wrapped around their head.

That figured happened to be my older sister, Gemma.
