Elena's POV

I waited patiently for Gabby to come out. Thankfully there was not many people at the clinic today. After a while, the doctor comes out the room and motions me to go in. I grab my bag from the chair next to me and make my way to her office. I sit next to Gabby who seemed very calm during this.

"Are you Gabriela's mom?" She asks.

"Uh no, I'm her cousin. I'm currently looking after her at the moment." I say.

She nods as she opens her folder.

"Alright well, usually in this situation, I would talk to the parent of the patient, but since you say you're looking after her then I could tell you her results." She says and I nod. "Gabriela is clear. We did a pregnancy test and it came out negative which I'm hoping it's good since she's very young. We did some tests for any sexual transmitted disease and everything was clear."

I sigh as I look at Gabriela who smiled at me.

"Gabby, honey, is it okay if you wait for your cousin outside in the waiting area?" She asks. Gabby nods and leaves the office. "I talked to Gabriela about what happened to her. I requested for her to take a therapy session, I know many people in this situations are not okay after, usually they go to therapy and it helps them, sometimes them just taking their mind of it by getting themselves occupied also helps. She declined the offer, but if later in you feel like she needs it, feel free to call me."

She hands me her card.

"Just be patient with her. It seems like she's hurting a lot."

"Thank you Dr." I say.

"Babe, we're home." I say as we walk inside the house.

"Be right out, giving this pequeña a bath." He yells from the bathroom.

Gabby shyly sits on the couch.

"Is it okay if I stay here for tonight?" She asks. "If not I can go to a motel."

"No, you're staying here." I say. "Starting Monday, I'm taking you to sign up for school. I don't want you missing out on your childhood. I want you to have a normal life, having friends, going out and stuff."

She nods.

"Gabby, I'm always going to be here for you. If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here."

Her eyes fill with tears as she nods.

"Thank you Lena."
