Elena's POV

I woke up to the doorbell ringing 5 times in a row. I sigh as I get up from bed and put a random shirt on and my shorts.

"Baby, put some clothes on." I say as I throw his shirt which lands on his face.

He groans as he sits up scratching his head and yawns at the same time.

"What time is it?" Oscar asks.

"I don't know." I put my hair in a bun and check my phone. "It's fucking 7 in the morning."

"What the fuck?" He groans as he lays back in bed.

"Just put clothes on and go back to sleep. I don't want my dad coming in to see you naked in bed." I say.

"Where are you going?" He asks.

"Check who's ringing the doorbell." I say as I open the door.

"Baby." I turn around to see him leaning across the bed. "Dame un beso."

I smile and walk towards him. I hold his face in my hand as I give him a deep kiss.

"I have to go check the door." I smile.

"Fine."

I quickly head downstairs before they leave. I open the door to see my little cousin with a suitcase and a book bag.

"Gabby? What are you doing here?" I ask confused.

"Lena! Oh my gosh, thank god you're here." She quickly hugs me as she starts crying.

"Gabby, what's wrong? What happened?" I hug her tightly. People passing by stare at us as I give them mean looks.

Once she's done crying, I walk her inside the house. I close the door softly behind me so I won't wake my dad upstairs.

"Leave your things here, let's go to the kitchen. You hungry?" I ask her and she nods.

I end up making pancakes and scrambled eggs. I set her plate in front of her and she quickly begins eating. I sit in front of her. I'll just wait till Oscar wakes up so I can eat with him. Right now I just wanted to know why my 15 year old cousin came all the way from Chicago to Freeridge.

After she was done eating, I take her plate and empty glass. I put them in the sink and sit in front of her again.

"Wanna tell me what happened?" I ask her.

She looks down at her hands and starts crying.

"My mom started doing drugs again." She says. I wasn't shocked. Her mom was always a drug addict and was never going to stop. "My dad left us about 3 months ago. I didn't want to call you or Tio Eduardo cause I knew you guys would be worried. But my mom started bringing home guys every night."

My heart sunk.

"There was this one specific guy that she would always bring home." She says as she starts crying. "I didn't know his name. But every night he would come in to my room and -"

She covers her face with her hands and starts sobbing. I quickly get up from my seat and sit next to her to hug her. I see Oscar standing in the doorway of the kitchen. He heard our conversation and he's furious.

"You don't have to continue, okay?" I say. "I'm taking you to the clinic."

"Okay." She nods. She looks up at Oscar. She looks a bit embarrassed that he heard.

"That's Oscar. He's um, he's Mia's father." I say. I really didn't know how to introduce him as. We have been sleeping with each other a lot. But we weren't official and that's what confused me.

"Oh right, you have a daughter." She now smiled.

"Yes, you'll meet her when we get back." I smile. "I'm gonna go get ready, you can watch tv in the living room if you want."

She nods and I make my way to my room upstairs. Oscar followed behind me, quiet.

Once I get to my room, Oscar closes the door behind me.

"We have to settle this shit." He says angrily.

"We're not going to settle anything Oscar!" I quietly yell.

"That piece of shit raped your little cousin!" He yells back.

"I know he did and trust me, I want to find that fucker too but you can't just go killing off people!" I say. "Baby, we have a daughter. We don't know what this guy is capable of doing. But as long as Gabby is here, she's safe."

I walk up to Oscar and hug him. He hugs me back as he rests his chin on the top of my head.

"I love you baby, thank you for wanting to do something about this. Pero I don't want you to get in any more trouble." I say.

"I know." He sighs. "But she's just a kid. She's like Cesar's age, ain't she?"

I nod.

"Fuck."

"Let me put on some sweatpants and brush my teeth." I say.

"You want me to take you?" He asks now sitting on the bed. I shake my head.

"No, Mia might wake up soon. Can you just stay here with her?" I ask.

"Of course, she's my daughter." He rolls his eyes and lays back in bed.

"I didn't mean it like that." I say. I go to the bathroom and brush my teeth.

Once I was done, I head back to the room to get my purse and keys. I climb the bed and kiss Oscar one last time before leaving.

"I love this protective side of you." I say. "It really turns me on."

He smirks.

"Oh yeah?" He asks.

"Mmhm." I say. I wink as I get off the bed.

"Te amo." I hear him say as I walk out the room.

"I love you more." I say before closing the door behind me.
