boxing day afternoon

01:34, 18 January 2021

Madelyn had been prohibited from seeing Loki but it wasn't because they thought she was in danger or anything bad was going to happen.

It was because every time Loki woke up from his slumber - he would see her face and pass out once more.

It was quite funny - yet probably not very good for his health.

To prevent this from happening once more, they had sent Madelyn down to the gym with Peter and a few others.

Peter smiled as he watched Madelyn gaze at the gymnastic hoops that were hanging over the plush mats.

"You want to have a go?" Peter asked quietly knocking her out of her daze.

She smiled and nodded her head furiously fast making Peter chuckle at how cute she was.

As he lead her over, the others watched on in amusement and curiosity.

"Are you a gymnast, Maddie?" Carol asked curiously, watching how the girl jumped up onto the hoops and gracefully pulled herself up.

Madelyn blushed before snorting."Definitely not, I just wanted to swing on them."

Wanda snickered at her as she swung back and forth - not so gracefully.

Until she accidentally slipped and fell into Peter's arms.

"Maybe we should leave the hoops for a bit." Peter chuckled and let her climb onto his back.

"Do you think Loki is okay?" Madelyn whispered tentatively into his ear.

Peter's face flushed before he cleared his throat and moved to give her a piggy back to the boxing arena.

"I'm sure he will be fine, Mads." Peter reassured her making Madelyn smile and drape her arms around his neck.

Madelyn looked at the boxing arena with a smirk and looked over to Peter who was also smirking.

Peter gently grabbed Madelyn's hands and started to wrap them as the others walked over with furrowed eyebrows and worried looks.

"Is that a wise idea?" Wanda wondered before putting her hands up at the joking glare she received.

"I just don't want you to break, Mads. You are pretty clumsy." Wanda smirked teasingly before raising her eyebrows at her friends' smirk.

Simply saying nothing, Madelyn jumped up onto the mats and placed herself in front of the boxing dummies.

Peter pressed the blue button and instantly the dummies began to move and attack Madelyn.

"This is going to be like some cheesy Wattpad book." Peter mumbled with a smirk.

All in all, it was like a cheesy Wattpad book.

Madelyn absolutely demolished the dummies using her material arts and boxing techniques as the others watched on in awe.

However it was hilarious for Peter because he already knew she could defend herself.

"I'm hungry, we should get some lunch!" Madelyn softy smiled as the last dummy fell done, spinning around to meet awed looks.

"C'mon Petey!" She looped their arms together and pulled him quickly out of the room, leaving her awe struck idols.

"Since when did you have that photo?" Madelyn poked her boyfriend as she watched him stir the pot of soup, her eyes darting from her instagram to the messy haired boy.

"Since I took it." Peter's boyish smirk made Madelyn's heart beat faster.

"Oh right, I forgot you were the photographer." Madelyn mumbles quietly with a small smile.

"Soups ready! Bon appetite, M'lady." Peter jokingly bowed as he placed the bowl in front of his girlfriend and grabbed one for himself.

Madelyn giggled before starting to drink her soup.

"Yeah, I have no clue how we managed to burn the turkey-"

"-We? That was all you Steve."

"Yeah Steve, you never knew how to cook, what made you think it was a good idea to make Christmas lunch."

As soon as the three men entered, Madelyn's spoon fell from her hand and clattered loudly into her soup making it spill everywhere.

Brown eyes met a familiar blue and both of the said people froze up.

"Bucky? Dude why are you staring at Peter's soulmate?"

"Madelyn? Are you okay?"

Madelyn narrowed her eyes at the man before shrugging and looking apologetically at Peter.

"I'm so sorry for spilling your soup Peter." She apologised making Peter shake his head quickly like an adorable puppy.

"No - no it's fine Mads." He handed her a napkin and she quickly cleared it up before looking back to see 'Sam' poking 'Bucky's' cheek whilst 'Steve' watched on with a confused face.

"Um anyways..." Madelyn trailed off awkwardly.

Peter swooped in a saved her embarrassment quickly.

"Madelyn this is Steve Rogers AKA Captain America-"

Steve nodded to her with a smile and Madelyn smiled back.

"-Sam Wilson AKA The Falcon-"

Sam gave her a friendly wink to which she smiled at once more.

"-And Bucky!" Peter purposely left out the triggering alter ego of the traumatised man which didn't go unnoticed.

"Pleasure to meet you all, I'm Madelyn Black." Madelyn shook all of their hands, covering her facial expressions as she felt the tingles from Bucky's touch.

Bucky also made sure his expression was blank.

"Right." Steve stared directly at the pair who seemed to have a tense air circling around them.

"Peter, lets go back to the gym. I think Carol said she wanted to help me correct my form on the hoops." Madelyn quickly grabbed his arm and pulled them out of the kitchen fast.

As soon as the girl left, Steve and Sam turned to Bucky who was frozen on the spot.

"That was the girl at the coffee shop, wasn't it?" Steve poked making Sam's eyes widen and Bucky to defeatedly nod his head.

"Oh damn, Buckeroo, you got yourself into a pickle."

Steve smacked the back of Sam's head.
