Chapter 4

Y/n's pov:It was the next morning. I woke up to the bird chirping and the sun shining through the windows of the tree house. I was laying on one bean bag while rafe was on the other. My legs were some how still in his lap. Suddenly my phone started to blow up. It was text from kie.

" Y/n where are you were waiting for you at the beach" it said. Shit I totally forgot about it and I have no way to get there.

"Rafe, wake up" i say shaking him trying to wake him up.

" what's wrong" he says to me slowly waking up. He look so cute.

" I need you to drive me to beach, I forgot I had to meet up with the group" I say to him hoping he says yes.

"Of course I'll drive you" he says getting up and grabbing his keys. " let's go" he says. We climb down the ladder of the tree house and then walk to his car. He opened the door for me like a gentleman and then went to his side getting in. Once we got settled in her started driving to the black.

Once we got there I got out but before I closed the door I said " thanks for the ride rafe. I'll call you later" I said to him. He then said a quick bye to me the. Drove away. I then started walking in the beach until I saw a group of my best friends.

"Y/n!" Kie and jj both yelled running up to me. Jj got to me first picking me up as he hugged me. Kie then got to me hugging me. Then followed Sarah, John b, and Pope.

"Hey Y/n" Pope said to me pulling me into a hug. He was like a brother I've never had. He always treated me like a sister. So did John b and jj.

"Let's go guys the waves look good" jj says. We all then start ruining to the water. Luckily I still had my bathing suit from yesterday with me so I could swim

After a while of playing around we got out of the water and started talking and hanging out. Then my phone rung. It was a unknown number. But it was local. So I answered.

"Hello" I said

"Hi is this Ms. Y/n L/n" I heard through the phones

"Yes that's me. May I ask who's calling" I say. At this point everyone is looking at me.

" hi I'm sorry to tell you this but this is the local hospital calling to tell you your mother mrs. L/n has been in a fatal car accident" the person says over the phone. I start crying. How could this happen she was fine when I saw her yesterday.

"Oh my god. I'll be there as soon as I can. Is she ok?" I say.

"I'm afraid not." The person says

" I have to go I'll be there soon" I say hanging up.

" what's wrong" jj says seeing the worry on my face.

" my mom, she was in a car accident. She's at the hospital" I say breaking down.

" oh my god. Do you want me to take you to the hospital so you can go see her?" Jj asks me. I shake my head yes and we get ready to go. We took John b car. On the way to the hospital I texted rafe and told him what happened. He told me he was on the way.

Once we got to the hospital we ran right to the front desk to find out what room my mom was in. Once we got the room number we went there. Once we got there the doctor came walking out.

" is she ok?" I ask the doctor.

" I'm sorry sweetie, she passed" he says. I lost it. I broke down crying. Jj sat there comforting me.

About 20 minutes later I had finally calmed down. Me and jj were sitting on the chairs in front of my moms room. I was in jj's arms. The. Rafe walked in.

"Is everything ok?" Rafe says as he walks up to me and jj.

" yeah" I say to him.

"Come here" he says to me holding out his arms for me to hugs him. I didn't get up since jj was drawing circles on my back which was calming me down.

"Y/n" rafe says looking at me.

" leave her alone" jj says he looked mad at rafe.

" what did you say?" Rafe asked jj obviously getting mad now.

" I said leave her alone" jj repeated getting up and standing in front of rafe . That's when rafe lost it.

" what so you can have her all to yourself. Is it because your in love with her and worried she wants me and not you. Well guess what she does" rafe says almost yelling in jj's face.

""Oh I'm in love with her? Well At least I'm not fucking using her" jj yells at rafe.

" Im not fucking using her. I love her" Rafe says yelling back. "You know what fuck this." Rafe says frustrated walking out.
