Chapter 11

Chapter 11:

~ Avril's POV ~

I laid in my bed, tossing and turning. I couldn't sleep. And why? Cause I'm scared. The horror movie I watched just now freaked me out.

What happens if a zombie suddenly walks into the room? What if there's a dead person in a closet? What if the bathroom door opens to only show a ghost?

Brain... Stop thinking about even more horrible stuff!

I pulled my blanket closer to me. I took a glace at the clock beside my bed.

3am. Two hours sure did past really fast. I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep with this fear. I slowly reached out to my phone next to my clock. When I touch the familiar, cold object, I quickly grabbed it and pulled my hand back into the blanket.

Whew, luckily my hand didn't get grabbed and eaten by a monster hiding under my bed.

I covered my head with the blanket and clicked the unlock button on my iPhone. The light blinded my eyes for a few seconds.

After getting used to the brightness, I typed in Evan's number and called him.

One ring... two rings... three rings...

"Hello?" Evan's morning voice spoke.

"Hey Evan... It's Avril. I'm really scared, uh, I watched a horror movie... Could you come over?" I stuttered.

"Oh sure Av, be right over."

The line went dead. But not creepy dead. Means Evan is coming here soon.

I heard the faint sound of the main door opening.

Evan's here! Or maybe its a zombie... Stop scaring yourself, Avril!

I heard the footsteps getting louder as the person came nearer at my room. Then it stopped. It was followed like a knock.

"E- Evan...?" I was scared, terrified. What happens if it wasn't him?

I felt relieved when I heard his voice, "Av, can I come in?" "Yeah"

He opened the door, revealing himself. He was still wearing his retainers, pajamas and slippers. He was so cute. "He crawled onto the bed, sitting next to me. He gave me a long hug, making me feel less scared. Evan really knew how to comfort me.

"Tell me what you're scared of." Evan said.

"I watched a movie with Ariana and Ellie, it's about zombies but my brain just had to think about every other scary things in the world so I'm scared of everything..." I explained.

"Its okay, I'm here." He comforted me, kissing my forehead. "Now go to sleep."

I did as he told me. If you're wondering why didn't I call Chad instead, here's why. Ever since I met Evan, I always called him when I'm scared. I kinda got used to it. Besides, Chad is working on some new music and I don't want to bother him from getting sleep. But no, I'm not cheating on Chad. Evan's my best friend. Even though we dated before, we agreed that we should still stick as best friends. He's hot and all, but we're best friends, not lovers.

I cuddled next to Evan. He was warm, calming me as I drifted off to wonderland...

"BANG!" I heard the door slam. It woke me up. I opened my eyes, trying to see who slammed the door when they came in but there was nobody. Except Evan sleeping next to me.

I slipped on my fluffy bunny slippers and walked out of the room. I saw an angry, very angry Chad stomping towarda the main door.

"Chad!" I called out. He ignored me, walking out the door, slamming it causing me to flinch. What has gotten into him?

I decided to let him cool down and look for him a while later. I walked down to the room which Ariana and Ellie stayed in. I knocked it a few times before hearing Ariana's voice. "Come in!" she shouted.

"Morning, did you sleep well?" I asked, walking into the room. "Yeah, how about you?" they asked back.

"I got scared by the movie so I called Evan." I admitted, a little embarrassed.

"That's so sweet of him! Has he gone back?" Ellie asked.

"Nope. Sound asleep!" I said, popping the 'p'. "I'll go wake him up!"

I walked to my room where Evan was still sleeping like a sleeping beauty. I jumped on the bed, my legs around Evan's hips.

"WAKKEE UPPPP!!" I screamed, laughing. I stood up, jumping on the bed, making the whole bed shake, making Evan no choice to wake up. He groaned, "Okay okay I'm up! What time is it?"

I smiled to myself, feeling accomplished for waking Evan up, then replying, "10.28."

"Ahhhh! I'm late!" He exclaimed, jumping off the bed, rushing off to the bathroom. What's with the rush?

He came out a few minutes later, mumbling, "Gotta go, meeting a friend." Before he rushed out the room, he waved at me.

"Oh well!" I said to myself. I went to brush my teeth and applied some make up on. I was going to go shopping with Ariana and Ellie.

After having breakfast with Ariana and Ellie, we were on our way to the mall.
