~Chapter Eighteen~

The next day Cole was pacing around his room, thinking whether he should tell you that he's a ghost. Just then he got a text from you.

ChloeBear: Can I come over at 5? Something came up at school :(

Me: Yea sure :) free all day! :D

ChloeBear: Okay :) see ya at 5! Ily! :*

Me: Ily too :*

Cole put his phone down then looked at his hands. He made his ghost hands appear then changed them back to normal form. 'She'd probably break up with me if I told her...' He thought to himself. Just then there was a knock on his door. He opened it and it was Lloyd. "Hey Cole! An old friend is coming over today!" He says happily.

"So? Who is this old friend anyways? Cyrus? Scales?" He asked. Lloyd smirked, "Oh you'll see. She's coming over at 4. Just a couple of hours away..." He says mysteriously. "Seriously! Ever since yesterday you guys have been talking about a 'She' who is she?!"

Lloyd smirks, "You'll thank us later..." He says then walks away. Cole rolls his eyes then checks the clock on his wall, 3:50 pm. "Well, might as well watch some tv or something." He says to himself then heads downstairs. You were stuck at school because you were a homework helper for some girl.

You were helping her with her science and she was learning about rocks and minerals. Every time you'd explain to her about it you'd always think about Cole. You kept checking the clock in the hall you had 1 hour left.

"Like this Chlo?" She asks you. You look away from the clock and check her work. "Yup! Just like that." You say with a smile. "I'll be ready for the test....right??" You give a nervous smile and nod yes. She smiles then flips over to the next page. You sighed, it was a 10 page packet and she was a slow thinker. You checked the clock as she was answering a problem, 4:00 pm.

Cole was on the couch by himself, watching tv. All of a sudden the doorbell rang and his four brothers ran downstairs to open it. "She's here!!" Kai says. Cole rolls his eyes and continues watching tv. "He's in the living room! Gosh he'll be happy to see you!" You heard Jay said. Cole slumps down on the couch then a girl comes in with reddish pink hair with a blue streak in it, and a blueish silverish Gi. Cole sits up and his mouth drops open. "SELIEL?!?!"

She squeals then hugs Cole. "Coley Poley!! I missed you so much!!!" She says. Cole breaks from the hug. "What are you doing here?! I thought you had a long big mission that you had to be far away from here??" Cole asks. She giggles and sits next to him. "Obviously I'm back from that silly!! I finished the mission!! I'm gonna stay here for a week! The ninja have been planning it for two days! And skylor's been giving me updates!" She explains cheerily.

Cole's mouth stays wide open and Seliel giggles and closes it. "I missed you so much!! Well I missed all of you, but mostly you!" She says. 'Not me....anymore....' Cole thinks in his head. "Yeah, um...me too?" He says although it came out more like a question. "You know I've seen everything! And all the places I've been, it made me think..." Seliel says as she sits closer to Cole. Cole scoots to the end of the couch and nervously chuckles. "Oh hehe really?" She moves closer to him again and looks into his eyes.

"Yeah...it made me think that....if I miss you so much then....I guess it means that....I really like you.." She says as she batts her eyes. Cole's heart races and he starts to nervously sweat. "Uh look Seliel, I'm flattered but I-" "You like me too!!! I knew it!! Kiss me now coley!" She cuts Cole off. "Seliel! I have-" but it was too late, she got on Cole's lap and started kissing him. 'No no no!! This can't be happening! I refuse to- Wow she's actually a good kisser...' 'No Cole! Just push her off you!!' 'Oh no...WHY AM I KISSING BACK?!?'

You checked the clock and saw that it was 4:58! "Almost done Audrey?" You asked her. "Yup! Here ya go!" She says as she hands you the packet. You check her answer and smile. "Correct! Nice work. Just hand this in tomorrow and you should be okay." You tell her as you pack up your backpack.

She cheers and you give her a high five. "Thanks Chloe! See ya tomorrow!" She says as she grabs her backpack and stuff and runs away. You chuckle then leave the school building to your car.

You smile at the clock in your car. 5:01. You put your backpack in the back seat and drive to the monastery. You arrive at the front door and ring the doorbell. There was no answer. You ring it again but still nothing. You heart grunting and some talking around the back.

You walk around the back the house to see all the ninja, except Cole, training in the outdoor training area. "Hey guys! Where's Cole?" You say with a smile. The ninja stop training and gasp when they see you. "CHLOE?!" They say. "Uh yeah? Never seen me before? You guys did know I was coming today right?" You ask.

"Oh no..what have we done..." Zane says as he starts to glitch. "What?" You ask. "Zane! Try to calm down! What's wrong?" Jay says. "I knew the probability of having seliel come over was a bad idea! We...we left her alone.....with Cole..." He says. Your eyes pop open.

"YOU DUMMIES LEFT MY BOYFRIEND ALONE WITH A GIRL?!?" You yell as you run through the back door. "But it's a girl we know!!!" Kai says but you ignore him. You search upstairs in Cole's room but he wasn't there. You run to the kitchen but he wasn't there either! Then you run to the living room and gasped at the horrible sight.

The girl/Seliel was on top of Cole and they both were making out! "COLE!!!" You yell as tears start forming in your eyes. Cole looks to you and his eyes pop open and he pushes Seliel off him. "Chloe!!! I'm so so sorry I swear! I didn't-" "YOU KNEW I WAS COMING OVER TODAY! AND YOU DO THIS BEHIND MY BACK!!!"

"Chloe! I'm sorry! It wasn't my fault!!" "THANKS FOR MAKING MY LIFE EVEN WORSE! FIRST I HAVE TO DEAL WITH BRUISES AND NOW I HAVE TO DEAL WITH A BROKEN HEART!!" You yell as the tears flow from your eyes.

"Wait bruises?!? Your parents aren't-" "That's what I was going to tell you. See for yourself!" You say as you lift the back of your shirt to show some bruises and the back of your legs. Cole frowns and your tears continue coming. "Chloe I'm sorry-" "Apologies won't cut it! I never want to see you again...." You say as you wipe the tears from your face and walk away from the living room.

Cole catches up to you and puts his hand on your shoulder. "Wait!! Chloe please...I swear I'm sorry! Seliel was the one that kissed me! I-i don't know what came over me but I'm sorry! Please...just give me another chance...." Cole says as the tears start coming from his eyes.

You take off your charm bracelet and throw it on the ground. "You lied to me....you said this would Never happen. Well it just did...Goodbye Cole Buckets..." You say as you yank your shoulder away from his touch and run out of the monastery. Cole stands there frozen still then he picks up your charm bracelet. "Cole, I-i didn't know you had someone-" Seliel says from behind Cole.

"Seliel get out..." Cole says. "Cole, I-I'm really sorry. But hey on the bright side you got me now right?!" "Leave now." "Look I mean we could-" "SELIEL I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOUR FACE AGAIN JUST LEAVE RIGHT NOW BEFORE YOU GET HURT!!!" Cole yells at her.

"FINE! I NEVER NEEDED YOU ANYWAYS!" She yells then grabs her suitcases and leaves the monastery. Cole stares at the charm bracelet in his hand and let's his teardrops fall on it. "Cole...we're sorry, we didn't know this would happen." Kai says. "Yeah Cole, we just thought you two would be all like best friends forever you know!" Jay says. "Don't talk to me..." Cole says as he turns into ghost form and runs up to his room, locking the door.

You make it home and go up to your room and cry in your pillow. This was the second time you've had your heart broken, by the same guy. The first time was because he was dead. This time is because he lied and cheated you. Only this time, It felt worse.

Who did Cole think he was? How could he just do this to you? He made you so happy and then he just took that happiness and ripped it in half. You never wanted to see him again. You sat on your bed and continued crying in your pillow.

A/N: I'm crying tho :,( the song at the top Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri seriously sets the mood 😭 sorry I had to do this to you guys lol. And if you guys don't know, Seliel is in fact a Ninjago character which sadly I don't own. She's in the Graphic Novel books of Ninjago and she's the phantom ninja.

Ik I probably wrote her character wrong but I like never read the book she was in so sorry about that lol. Anyways, Chloe's background story should be in the bonus book soon so be on the lookout for that! :) Will Chloe and Cole get back together? Or are they over for good... Find out in chapter nineteen! :)
