3.1. ᴠᴀʟᴋʏʀɪᴇ - ᴀ ᴋɪᴅɴᴀᴘᴘᴇʀ
01:14, 3 November 2025Pairing: Valkyrie x M!ReaderWarnings: Violence, Annoyed Valkyrie, Kidnapping.Words: 8k+Request: YesSummary: If someone told you that your kidnapper would become your lover, you would not believe them. But life has a funny way of proving you wrong.
"Y/n! Dinner's ready!" Quickly raising your head, you dropped the crayon you held in your hand. Letting it fall on the desk, you pushed your chair back, causing a screeching sound against the floor.
The little light on your desk was left on as you scrambled to your feet, running out of your room. A huge smile plastered on your face as your hair bounced on your head.
Small thuds echoed throughout the hallway as you stomped your feet down the stairs, rushing to the kitchen. "I'm here! I'm here!" Your little voice bounced off of the walls as your small body threw itself on a high chair.
You were climbing up on it while your mom laughed lightly at your cuteness. Her eyes were full of love as they stared at you. You were the apple of her eye.
Taking utensils in your hands, you impatiently waited for your plate to be put in front of you. You loved the food so much. Especially, your mom's food. It was the best thing ever.
"Just don't eat the plate, buddy." A man's voice reached your ears when you dived in as soon as your mom put your meal down.
Ruffling your hair, he came up to your mom, kissing her on the cheek. "Dad! You're back! Are we going to play board games tonight? Please?" You pulled the best puppy dog eyes you could.
It was your weapon against them. It always worked. That was why you always used it. "Ugh, stop it, you know I can't say no when you do that." Your dad said, playfulness swirling in his tone as a grin crept up on his lips.
It wasn't a joke tho. He loved you too much to say no. "Sooo, we are?" You pushed further with a pouty smile of your own.
Your mom laughed as a light huff escaped the man's mouth. Shaking his head, his hands landed on his hips. "We are." He told you, making you burst out with an excited yell.
You continued to eat as your parents laughed at your reaction. They knew your tricks very well, but they pretended to fall for them to see the happiness surging through your whole body.
Stopping a fork in between your lips, you squinted your eyes, looking at nothing in particular. "Where is Sparky?" Your question shifted the mood in the kitchen immediately as your parents started scanning the area.
"I thought he was in your room." Your mom told you as you shook your head. She then moved her gaze to your dad, hoping he knew.
However, he didn't seem like it when he shrugged his shoulders unsure. "Well, we will go look for him outside when you finish, okay?" Agreeing to his idea, you nodded before devouring the rest of your meal.
You needed to find your dog. He was always on your team during the game nights. And he was your best friend, you loved spending time with him.
"Wow, okay, I guess we can go." Your dad said, shocked at how fast you finished just to go already.
Scurrying off of the chair and for your shoes, your dad followed you, grabbing a jacket and throwing it on. "Just don't run, Y/n, you've just eaten!" Your mom's voice was barely heard as you were already going out the door.
With a huge smile on your face, you waved your hand behind you as you were running. Yeah, something you were just told not to do. "Come on, dad! We gotta find him!"
Your dad chuckled as you were calling for your dog. It really didn't take long as the Rottweiler ran out from behind the shed. His head dived into the grass as he stopped in the middle of the yard.
"Sparky! Here you are!" Your excited little voice didn't catch your dog's attention. He kept biting and scratching at something on the ground.
You ran up to him and started petting him, moving your hand through his fur. "What do you have there, buddy?" You asked him before kneeling down and gently moving his head away from the object.
He obediently let you, licking at your small hand as if he just noticed you. "What is it?" Your face scrunched in confusion as you held a capsule-like-looking thing with a blue liquid in it.
As you inspected the object, your dad opened the door, standing in one spot. "I see you found him." He said loudly, not getting a reply from you as you kept analyzing the thing.
Suddenly, the wind picked up, causing you to look up in the sky. The clouds became darker in seconds as you were still kneeling down with your dog next to you.
A bright light blinded you out of nowhere, making you shield your eyes with your arm. The light was so strong that your father was forced to do the same before his eyes got a little used to it.
"Y/n!" You heard his horrified scream just as you noticed a huge ship floating right above you. "Y/n, get back here!" He screamed again, this time his voice sounded closer.
But before he could do anything, the bottom part of the ship opened and creatures spilled out from it. They landed right next to you, putting you in the middle as they circled you.
The impact of their landing caused waves to go through the ground that threw your father back. The fear filled your whole body as you stared up at them, too scared to move.
Their faces didn't look anything like human ones. Their mouths and jaws were sharp, like squares. Multiple what you would call piercings covered their faces as their black eyes were focused on you.
It was horrifying. Sparky was growling and barking at them, standing in front of you protectively. "No!" Your heart-wrenching scream could be heard from miles away when one of the creatures moved their arm, throwing your dog in the direction of the house.
As you stood up, you were ready to fight them. You knew you were no match, but you wouldn't let go without a fight. One without a helmet lowered his eyes and stopped on the capsule you were still holding.
Murmuring something to the creature next to him, he looked over his shoulder as your mother's scream could be heard. "Y/n!" Her horrified face scanned everything that was happening outside.
"Mom!" Your loud cry caused her only more worry when she realized where you were.
The capsule was ripped from your hands as your father finally regained his consciousness, slowly standing up as he held his head.
Looking up, his eyes met yours. The fear was evident in both of them. "Leave my son!" He yelled angrily as he started charging at the aliens.
The one without the helmet murmured something again as the rest nodded. Two of them grabbed your arms and picked you up as the other three faced your family.
"Mom! Dad!" You were horrified, crying to your parents as you tossed and shook. You tried everything to break free from their grasp.
Your mother's loud yelling was the only thing you could hear through your father's screams as the three creatures flicked their wrist, bringing him to his knees.
One of them raised a small spear before piercing your father's shoulder, causing a loud cry to pass his lips. "No!" Your mother quickly ran up to him as the three aliens turned around and followed the ones that still were holding you.
"Y/n! Let him go, you monsters!" You could only look at how she was kneeling next to your father, putting pressure on his shoulder as she yelled after you.
Sparky was standing next to them, barking and showing his teeth at the aliens. Your breathing was getting ragged from your own crying as you kept tossing in their hold.
It was all for nothing when they stood in one place before the ship pulled them in with you. The last thing you saw was your mom's face full of tears as she kept holding your father on the ground before it all went black.
——
The man's head whipped as your fist met with his cheek. Quickly delivering another punch with your other one, you finished it with the third hit right in his nose.
It seemed like he was knocked out of consciousness when his eyes turned empty before he fell to his knees. Completely stripped off his armor and weapons, he was at your feet, blindly searching with his hands.
You were standing still, eyes lowered and focused on your opponent. Your foot connected with his face after he grabbed it, throwing him on his back.
A loud gasp left his mouth as his arms were moving slowly in the air before dropping on the ground. You weren't merciless. When you rid him of his protective gear, you dropped yours as well.
Making it a fair fight, you used only your bear fists. You were entirely focused on the lying man as everybody around you was cheering, screaming, and yelling your name.
You'd think it was a dream. It could be. But it was a nightmare. The inescapable cage where you were forced to fight for your life every time you stepped in it.
Most of them were not a challenge. With your skills and determination, they were basically nothing. It didn't change the fact that you hated every second in this place.
As thoughts kept running through your head with your gaze on the man, you slowly came up to him. Putting your foot on his chest, you put pressure on it, pushing him against the ground.
His mouth opened as he was gasping for air. Eyes wide and trained on you, begging you for mercy. But you didn't have mercy for anyone. Not ever since that one day.
Stepping harder, you were cutting off his airways. Your foot moved higher, landing on his neck before you pushed on it, clenching your jaw.
He didn't have any more strength to stop you. You just watched how life was disappearing from his eyes as they pleaded. Before you knew it, his body completely dropped on the ground.
Taking your foot off of him, you stepped away. Your arms shot up in the air, causing the crowd to go wild as your eyes stayed on the man's lifeless form.
All the noise around was tuned out. Hearing the gates open, you turned around and started walking away without another glance.
It wasn't anything new. You'd had so many fights by now that it shouldn't be shocking to anyone. Another dead body on the arena ground.
That was your life. That was what it looked like. Death surrounded you every single day. It made you emotionless, and dangerous. You hated what you became, but you had no reason to be different. So you just kept living the same day every day.
"Y/n good." You heard a deep voice that made you smile a little. Turning to your friend, you patted his huge arm. "Thanks, Hulk."
He was your favorite person here and you were his. This so-called monster wasn't bad at all when you got to know him. It was funny how you went from almost fighting to being best buddies in this place.
Refusing that match was your best choice. You'd made him confused as to why you'd done it. But it had made him feel a warm sensation in his chest. He'd felt cared for.
He was a big guy, strong and hard to beat. But it wasn't impossible. You knew you could do it. It wasn't your desire to deprive him of his life tho. You'd known there was more to him than the monster everyone was talking about.
You might wonder how you could win against Hulk? Well, ever since you had gotten kidnapped, those crazy bastards had been feeding you with different kinds of liquids.
You'd basically been their little test rat. All of it'd immensely changed your body and its capabilities. You were almost like a god now. Not really, but close.
"Hulk happy." Your friend said, pulling the best smile he could as you kept walking. "Me too, buddy. Are you hungry? I could eat a thing or two."
As soon as you uttered out the words, he got crazy, throwing himself around with a serious face. "Wow, calm down, dude. We're getting it." A loud huff got out of his nostrils before he decided to follow.
Shaking your head, you kept walking to a little cafeteria area. You and Hulk were engaged in a conversation, talking about your fight today. He was praising your strength.
It was always all about smashing. Raising your head, you slowed down as you spotted a particular someone. A sense of irritation surged through your body at the sight.
"Look who it is!" She exclaimed, turning her head to you, a cheeky smile gracing her lips. "The big bad boy." Finishing her sentence, she took a long swing of her beer.
Running your tongue over the upper teeth, you tried to stay calm as she was already getting on your nerves. "I'm not really in a mood to be bothered by you." Sitting down on a stool, you raised your hand to get the attention of the person behind the counter.
They just nodded before grabbing a bottle of your usual drink and coming up to you. "Anything else today?" The man asked as you opened the bottle.
"A big meal for the big guy." You said with your eyebrows up, pointing at the green guy behind you. His teeth were showing as he was already excited about his food.
The man just nodded quickly before scurrying off to start making the meal. "So." The woman started again, taking a seat next to you as your eyes rolled, your head facing the ceiling for a second.
"You're holding up pretty well. I was sure you'd die the very first day." She informed you in a slight disbelief with her eyes trained on you as she took a swing of her drink.
A tight-lipped smile appeared on your face as you stared at the bartop. "You are so kind. Having so much faith in me." Breathing out, you gazed at her, moving your head up and down.
"Don't you have anything better to do? Like, kidnapping people for money for example?" You flashed her an arrogant smile while your eyes stayed on her.
You couldn't believe that after another day of literally fighting for your life, she was here each time to annoy the shit out of you. The very same person that you'd ended up here because of.
Her eyebrows shot up as her mouth dropped open in surprise before the corner of it tugged into a small smirk. "Did you hear that, big guy? I made him famous and he's being ungrateful now." She exclaimed, pointing with her hand to you as Hulk huffed in shock and irritation.
"Wow! We're friends too, buddy! I'm getting you food!" You quickly uttered out when he started pushing you harshly. His face quickly dropped and changed into one full of guilt while he was sheepishly standing between you and the woman.
She smirked to herself in satisfaction as her eyes were moving between you and Hulk. A second later the man came back with food and you pushed it to the end of the bartop, thanking him. "Go, it's yours." You told Hulk as he waited with pleading eyes.
"Even tho you're a little traitor." Adding in a quiet mumble to yourself, you watched how he ran up to the meal before devouring it. You shook your head at the sight with a displeased face before taking a sip of your drink.
"And you didn't make me famous, Valkyrie." You said in a defensive tone. "You kidnapped me and sold me against my will." Correcting her, you stared at her with a stern look on your face.
She simply shrugged, playing with her bottle and not taking you seriously, apparently. "It's basically the same. You became famous because you'd ended up here. And you'd ended up here thanks to me." Her happy tone made you mentally scream as your eyes fell shut for a second, your face still facing her.
"What did I do to deserve this." Whispering out, you hoped that you'd wake up and this nightmare would be gone.
However, as your eyes opened, you were met with the smiling woman as she waved at you innocently. Her mouth was full of her drink before she swallowed as a deep sigh left your mouth, your eyes falling close again in disappointment.
Turning your body on the stool, you let your head harshly fall on the bartop. The impact made Hulk's meal jump up slightly, causing him to give you a grumpy look that you didn't have time to nice.
"I need a vacation." You murmured to yourself, holding the bottle as your face was connected with the marble. "I have something for you." Muffled words made your head lazily turn to the side as you looked at the woman with one eye open.
"You have a vacation for me?" You asked sarcastically as she stuffed her mouth with cookies. "I have~" She dragged out, taking out a rolled piece of paper from her pocket. "A mission!" She exclaimed loudly with an open-mouthed grin.
You groaned with a huff before moving your head to the previous position. "Oh, don't be a little brat." You cussed her out in your head like nobody else before while taking small breaths to calm yourself down. "It's okay, Y/n, she's not here."
It seemed like talking to yourself wouldn't help when she pushed your head to the side, making you harshly glare at her. "She very much is here." She informed you, leaning her head lower and closer to you before straightening up.
"So, the mission is simple-" Without a single word, you lazily got up from your seat and started walking away, not listening to anything that left her mouth. Your beer still in hand as a tired look was painted on your face. "Hey! Where are you going?"
She kept calling out after you when Hulk raised his head and looked at you puzzled. "Tiny Hulk? Why go?" You just waved at them without a single glance as you took a sip of your beer and kept walking to your room.
You needed some good rest and peace. And it wasn't easy to get both at the same time.
——
"I know, right?! Left and right, and he was gone!" You talked about the fight you'd had just a second ago as you were walking with Hulk. It'd been a few weeks since Valkyrie had a 'mission' for you and you'd successfully managed to avoid it this whole time.
He roared in a chuckle as he held his stomach. "He easy. Tiny Hulk strong." He exclaimed, tensing his muscles as he showed his teeth.
You couldn't disagree with the statement as you nodded. The man you'd fought today was one of the easiest ones so far. It hadn't even seemed like he'd been trying to do anything.
You were laughing with Hulk, mocking the guy from earlier before your head suddenly whipped as you felt a stinging sensation on your cheek.
Widening your eyes, you blinked slowly. Your hand went to your cheek as you held it in shock. "What the-" You started as you raised your head back up, receiving another hit to the other cheek.
Chuckling to yourself with closed eyes, you straightened up, popping bones in your body before looking at the raging man in front of you. "Tell me when it hurts." You breathed out to him with a crazy smile before punching him square in the face.
The bald man next to him looked in shock as his friend fell to the ground before he seethed at you through his teeth, throwing a fist your way.
You swiftly dodged it, moving to the side, as you wrapped your arm behind his head, pulling him down and kicking him in the stomach. The air was knocked out of his lungs as he coughed at the impact.
You quickly kneed him in the face, causing his body to go stiff as he fell to the floor. Wiping your mouth, you stood over him as you breathed out through your nose. "Bastards." You mumbled out to yourself.
Suddenly, you were grabbed by your shoulders from behind as a strong kick was delivered to your back, evoking a loud groan from you. You felt something hard and stiff connecting with your back again as you yelled out.
Quickly turning around, you started dodging multiple incoming punches. Gripping the man's arm and twisting it, you turned around and stepped closer before throwing him over you.
"It's just gonna tickle." You informed him kindly as his eyes widened before you twisted his arm further, making him scream in pain.
Holding it in one place, you focused your eyes on his face. Another hard hit came from the side, landing on your temple. Moving your head with an unamused grin, you let go of the arm and slowly stood up, turning your head to a shorter man.
His expression started dropping as your glare became harder and harder, standing tall in front of him. Groaning loudly, you gripped his shirt as you harshly started pushing him backward on his feet before his back connected with the wall.
"It hurts! I'm giving the signal, it hurts! I give up!" His eyes squeezed shut with his arms up as he cried silently to himself. "Please, don't kill me." He pleaded with you and you stopped your fist from connecting with his head.
Your eyes rolled when you let go of his shirt just as the guards started flooding the place, shouting and aiming guns at everyone.
You stepped away from the man with your hands up as they aimed the guns at you. "It wasn't me! It was them!" You shouted back at them before they exchanged looks with each other.
More of the guards came by as they started picking up the men. "What the hell happened here?" You heard a female voice before you turned your head in her direction.
Her face quickly changed from confused to almost worried as she sped up her step, getting to you faster. "To your room." She said in a stern voice, causing your face to scrunch up.
"Uh, no?" You replied with a small huff. Her head tilted at you, making you uneasy before you stood straighter and cleared your throat. "To. Your. Room." She emphasized each word as her eyes were burning now.
"Okay, geez." You said in defeat, quickly turning around and walking as she pushed you with her hand. "Who's being a boomer now, huh?" You mumbled under your breath, earning a slap from the woman.
You walked in silence, glancing at Valkyrie as she kept her eyes ahead, not giving you a single look. Getting in the elevator, you were about to push the button but your hand was slapped with a harsh glare.
You made a face before stepping away, seeing that she was agitated enough already. "So-" You tried to start a conversation but her hand stopped you as she covered your mouth. "Don't even."
Her harsh tone was kind of ignored as your eyes moved down, trying to catch a glimpse of her hand. Raising an eyebrow to yourself at the thought you just got, you poked your tongue out and licked her palm.
Her mouth dropped open as she quickly retracted her hand, looking at you disgusted. "Could you not?" She said annoyed before wiping her palm against your clothes.
Your eyes snapped down before back at her with a displeased expression. "It's your spit, don't complain." She said with a quick tilt of her head.
The door finally opened and Valkyrie exited it with a strong step. You followed quickly to your room as she pushed the door open and waited for you, glaring the whole time.
"You know, I don't understand why you're being-" She kicked the back of your knees, making your legs bend as she moved the chair right under your ass, pushing you down on it by your shoulders.
You carefully watched the woman as she moved around the room, not knowing if it was safe to do anything at this point. She took a chair and sat down on it right in front of you.
"What is it? A therapy sessi-" Your little joke was cut off right with your cheeky smile wiped off your face as she grabbed your chin and rubbed antiseptic against your temple.
You hissed at the stinging sensation, your eyes falling close as she kept going. "You got hurt, idiot." She mumbled lowly as she focused on your face.
"Oh, come on, it's just a small wound." She looked you dead in the eyes, pressing harder on the cut. Her lips pressed together as you groaned, giving her a look. "You really like to prove a point, huh?"
In return, you only got a satisfied smile as she kept cleaning your wound. You couldn't help but stare at her focused face, the proximity you were in was unbearable.
You couldn't believe your own thoughts, but she was gorgeous. You weren't sure if you'd been trying to ignore it this whole time or if you'd been too busy being petty that you never noticed how beautiful her features were.
"And done." She whispered out, snapping you out of your thoughts as you cleared your throat, quickly snapping your eyes down.
She gathered the stuff and came up to the little trash can as you decided to change your too-stretched shirt. Trying not to think about your little situation there, you focused on changing as she was walking around your room.
"What is this?" Her voice grabbed your attention as you pulled a new shirt down your body. "Huh?" You asked, coming up to her.
She held a piece of paper that turned out to be a picture when you got closer. "Oh...this." Your voice became quieter as you stared at the people in the picture. "This is nothing."
The woman instantly gave you a 'really' look as you tried to brush it off. "Nothing? You want to tell me you'd keep something that is nothing to you?" She spoke to you like you'd be dumb.
She was right and you weren't sure what to say not to sound like even more of an idiot. Sighing out, you sat down on your bed as she slowly followed. "They are my parents." You told her in a quiet tone.
Her head was turned to you but eyes were directed at the picture in her hand. "Wait, so it means that this is you." She slowly uttered out as she gave you a funny look. "Aww, look at your tiny face, tiny Hulk."
She mocked you with a teasing smile, showing her pearly white teeth. You shoved her lightly, grinning a little as you rolled your eyes. "What happened with them?" She asked genuinely as her eyes stayed on their faces.
You swallowed a little as you looked down at your hands. You didn't care about anything, honestly. You had yourself and yourself only. But the topic of your parents was a hard one.
It was opening wounds you thought you closed. "Well, as you know, I was kidnapped when I was little." You started, making her look at you with a slightly amused smile.
"It almost looks like being kidnapped is a kink of yours with the number of times it's happened to you." The atmosphere in the room was changing and she tried to joke a little to raise your spirits.
Which you appreciated with a snort as you chuckled. "It kinda does, doesn't it?" You joked back, shaking your head a little. "But uh...when I broke free and found out who I was, I went back to Earth. To my house." She was looking at you now, her smile slowly fading as she was listening.
"And...they weren't there." You said quickly, moving your eyes up to her as you clasped your hands. "They were gone. Everything was the way I last remembered. I don't think they ever touched my room." You told her, pressing your lips together as she lowered the hand with the picture.
"I'm so sorry." She whispered to you while your eyes fell shut. "Nothing to be sorry about. There still was my drawing from the night I'd been kidnapped. To have anything that would let me have them with me again, I took this picture." You pointed at the thing she was holding as you continued.
Her eyes jumped to it for a second before looking at you again. "So, I decided to go back here. I had nothing and no one left on Earth. And here I am." You said, spreading your arms with a small smile.
She just kept staring at you with sadness in her eyes. Her hand went to your shoulder as she rubbed it in a comforting way. The silence engulfed the both of you before she looked down, swallowing a little.
"I- I lost my family too." She said in a quiet tone. You tilted your head in curiosity as she played with the picture. "We were sent to take care of an Asgardian goddess. Everyone was killed, besides me as you can tell." She tried to sound funny as she spoke the last words.
Gently putting your hand on her knee, you tried to give her some comfort back just as she did with you. "I'm sorry you had to go through that." Sincerity was loud in your voice as you stared into her eyes.
She waved you off as she kept sitting in the same position. "It's fine. It made me stronger and...cautious." She said as she moved her eyes to you.
You spread your arms a little, raising your eyebrows. "A hug?" You asked in a goofy voice. She huffed at you as her eyes rolled before accepting the gesture.
"I'm sorry for selling you to Grandmaster." She mumbled against your shoulder, making you chuckle as you rubbed her back. "It's okay. I'm not mad about it. We all do everything we can to survive somehow."
You felt her arms tighten around you more as she breathed in deeply. You both needed some comfort and someone to listen. And in this moment, you could give each other both.
So you stayed in this position for a good while before slowly pulling away. Valkyrie let out a breath as you tried to make sure she was okay. "It's time for me to go. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day." She said in an unhappy and sarcastic tone.
"That is true. Thank you for talking to me and~" You trailed off as you pointed to your temple. "This." She chuckled as she ran her fingers over the patched-up wound. "Maybe some scars will finally make you a little sexy."
Your mouth dropped in pure shock as she stood up, laughing. You watched her walking to the door as you just kept staring, blinking the whole time. "Oh, so that's how you wanna be?" You asked as you smiled widely.
"I don't know, do I?" She shrugged her shoulders as she opened the door and flashed her teeth at you. "Go to sleep, you rude person." You told her in a grumpy tone.
Shaking her head, she waved at you as she kept taking small steps out of your room. "Night, night, tiny Hulk." She called out louder, closing the door and leaving a huge grin on your face as you started getting in bed.
——
"Don't move it there, are you mad? These people have no sense of style." Grandmaster spoke in his calm tone as he was walking around his big place.
Valkyrie sent him a tight-lipped smile as her eyebrows raised. She had no idea what he was talking about and, frankly, she didn't want to know.
"Oh, but, darling." The man started again, looking at Valkyrie with his usual smile. "We were talking business. I have to thank you for the great warrior you brought me. He's been making a good profit for me, you know?" He was telling her as the woman moved her hands behind her back, sucking in a breath.
"The Tiny Hulk, he's really good." Valkyrie snorted to herself at the name. It was something Hulk had called you when you'd become friends.
She'd been teasing you with it ever since but she didn't think it would actually catch on. "I can't wait for all the new options you will offer." He exclaimed, clasping his hands as he looked at her excitedly.
She opened her mouth before clenching her teeth while dropping her eyes to the floor. "About that." She uttered out slowly, making Grandmaster's face drop as concern took over it.
"Oh God, all the bad news start like that." His voice a little panicked as he waited for her to continue. "No, no. I was just thinking that since Y/n is a good warrior, maybe he could help me with searching for new possible contestants."
The man's head tilted at her statement before he started laughing to himself. His hand slapped his leg when Valkyrie started awkwardly chuckling. "That was a good joke. I like it."
He pointed at her and kept smiling until he noticed the look on her face. "Why would I send my most profitable contestant to search for different ones? He's getting me good money already." He countered the woman as she started swaying on her feet.
"Well, if I have him with me, it could let me bring more of them at once. It would equal the profit, maybe even increase it." She tried to bribe the man as he looked at nothing in particular, getting lost in his own thoughts.
Mouth slightly opened as he put a finger against his lips. "Huh, I will let him go with you." He informed the woman, causing happiness to surge through her body while successfully hiding it.
"But he will still participate in the entertainment at the arena." The man added quickly after, slightly looking up at Valkyrie as his head was tilted down.
She nodded with her arms spreading. "That's fine with me." She replied back to him with a satisfied smile as he sent her a happy grin. "Great! You can go tell him and bring me some new beauties."
Patting her arm, he whipped his head to a group of men as his face became irritated and disappointed. "I'm sorry, darling." He apologized while excusing himself before he started scolding the workers.
Valkyrie huffed out a chuckle before making her way out of the hall and to your room. She needed to tell you about this as soon as possible. Ever since that night in your room, she'd been thinking about getting you out of fighting every day.
You both had been spending more time with each other, opening up more and feeling content in the other's presence as you both got a sense of being able to talk about anything.
The guilt was eating her up more than at any point before tho. She felt horrible for putting you in this position in the first place. If she hadn't kidnapped you, maybe you would be living a good life now.
She didn't know why these thoughts and emotions were becoming more prominent, but she needed them to stop. She had to stay focused if she wanted to help you.
Quickly getting to your room, she pushed the door open without knocking, scaring you shitless as you jumped up in a standing position.
"Wow!" You exclaimed loudly as you lost your balance while putting your pants on, slowly falling on the floor. "Aw!" Putting a hand on the back of your head, you hissed in slight pain before fully laying down.
"Get up, I have great news!" She told you as she passed you and headed for the bowl with fruits. Your groan was her only reply as she grabbed an apple and started eating it.
Rolling to your side, you huffed out, moving a little before leaning up on your arm. "What is so important that you barged in here like that?" Slowly getting up, you pulled your pants all the way up before grabbing a shirt.
She didn't seem to hear you as you got nothing in return while you pulled the shirt over your head and down your body. Running your hand through your hair, you raised your eyes to see her staring at you.
"Hello?" You snapped your fingers in her face, causing her to blink rapidly as she cleared her throat. "So!" She started, standing up from her seat and walking away from you.
"I'm supposed to go and find some new contestants." Your eyes rolled at the information while shaking your head. "You mean, kidnap people." Correcting her, she dismissed you with a wave of her hand.
"And you're going with me! Isn't it great?" She finished as she quickly turned back around to face you with an excited smile.
But she was met with a scrunched-up face as you couldn't believe what she said to you. "Great? No, it's not great. I will not kidnap anybody." You rejected the 'offer' while unhappily gathering the dirty clothes.
Yeah, you didn't hold it against her anymore, the fact that she'd kidnapped you. But you wouldn't do it yourself to anybody. You wouldn't go down that road.
Her voice slowly dropped as you walked around your room, cleaning some stuff here and there. "It's a great opportunity, you have to go, Y/n." She kept pressing as you scoffed loudly at her words.
"I don't have to do anything and I won't. I told you that already." She didn't like your reply as her eyes rolled hard. She couldn't believe you were acting like this now. "I want to help you." Her serious tone made you turn your body to her as your face was showing irritation.
"Help me? You know damn well how I feel about this 'business' Grandmaster has going." Your voice raised as you were spilling things. She blinked at you slowly, not appreciating your tone while her fists clenched.
Her mouth opened before a sarcastic smirk took over her face with a short breath leaving her mouth. "First of all, don't yell at me." She said in a serious tone, almost threatening really as she looked you dead in the eye.
"Second of all, all I said you'd have to do would be going with me. That's all." She said like it was the most obvious thing in the whole world. She was getting irritated with your attitude at this point.
It was dangerous for her to go out and make a request like this and here you were, throwing a tantrum about it. "Go with you and kidnap people or watch them get kidnapped." You clarified as you spoke agitated, losing your patience.
"Then close your fucking eyes!" She exclaimed as she threw her hands in the air. "I just wanted to help you, why can't you just take it?" You, in fact, did close your eyes now when you couldn't listen to it anymore.
But not wanting it to turn into an unnecessary argument and also hearing her point, you just shook your head. "Okay, when do we go then?" Your sudden calm and quiet tone confused the woman for a second.
"Tomorrow morning." She replied, as her eyes were analyzing your face, looking for answers to your change in behavior. You gave her only a nod and turned your back to her, busing yourself with a random thing.
Figuring out that she would only waste her time and breath here now, she started making her way out. "I don't want to argue, I just want to help you, Y/n." She said to you, stopping briefly at the door before leaving and shutting it close.
Letting out a deep breath, you let yourself fall on the bed as your arm covered your eyes. "This is so stupid." Mumbling to yourself, you felt bad for acting like an idiot.
You knew she wanted you to live better and help you with achieving that. Anger shouldn't be getting in the way that easily. It was annoying you that you basically went off on her for something like this.
Nonetheless, it wasn't sitting right with you that you would have to kidnap people to get out of this fancy 'prison'.
But she was still your friend. She wanted to do better. She wanted to make up for what she'd done to you and you knew it. It made you feel guilty for how you acted.
You felt bad that she felt bad in general. It was haunting you more as you'd been spending more time with her every day. You didn't want her to have any negative emotions or feel like she had to recompensate for something.
But you wouldn't dwell on it now. You got up from your bed quickly and headed out of your room. You had stuff to do and people to beat up.
——
Packing a bag with your favorite knives and guns, you zipped it up and threw it over your shoulder.
You needed to pick up some snacks before leaving for the ship as Valkyrie was supposed to be waiting for you there. You left your room and began walking to the common area where the small bar was.
They had your favorite chips and Valkyrie's favorite cookies, so you thought you'd pick some up. It would help with your mood as you still felt some type of way after the conversation you had with the woman the day before. It would also be a good peace offering.
Getting to the place, you quickly gestured how many bags of what you wanted and it was already up on the bartop when you reached it. "Thanks." You said to the man as he nodded with a smile.
You took the snacks and started walking to the ship now, stuffing the food in the bag. You weren't sure what to tell Valkyrie. You didn't want there to be any tension but you were scared of making things worse.
Maybe she would start a conversation herself and it would solve itself somehow. You counted on that second option as it seemed safer than you trying to initiate anything.
Lost in your thoughts, you noticed only now that you were almost at the ship already. Taking a deep breath and letting it out, you headed to it, hoping for the best.
"Hello?" You called out as you entered it, looking around for the woman that was supposed to be here. "You finally got here." You heard from the front, making you turn to the woman.
Her face looked bored. Kind of like a warning not to annoy her today or you would lose your life. "That I did." You simply replied, putting the bag down as she nodded.
She watched you for a second as you opened the bag and started taking the weapons out. Turning her body to the wall with guns, she grabbed one after another to check.
She didn't say a word to you while you kept unpacking your things, making sure everything was in place and ready. Usually, the silence between you two was comfortable but now it was unbearable.
You were glancing at her the whole time when you caught her doing the same. It had to stop. "I'm sorry for yesterday." You apologized first, your voice quiet as you stopped your hands from moving.
She slowly paused her actions as she listened to you. "I know you try to help and you do it in ways you can best." You told her, staring at her and waiting for what she would say.
"I'm sorry too. I shouldn't be pushing the topic like that." You nodded at her with a grin when she sighed out and gazed up to your eyes.
It felt like time stopped for a second as she smiled at you warmly. "Hulk ready." A deep voice made your eyes widen in surprise before you quickly turned around.
There was no one else than your big green friend, standing right in front of you. "He's going with us?" You asked the woman confused.
You thought it was supposed to be only the two of you. It didn't really make any sense. Grandmaster would agree to that? "Yes. We couldn't leave him here like that." She simply replied, moving back to the front of the ship as she pushed some buttons.
"But-" You paused as you tried to gather your thoughts. Nothing was connecting with anything in your head. "We're leaving. For good." She enlightened you when she faced you again.
Her face was serious, not showing any hints of possible amusement or anything of that sort. "Are you crazy?!" You asked her, concerned about her safety now.
Maybe you were the type who didn't care and just tried to live another day, but it was different with her now. You didn't want her to get in trouble or possibly get killed. You wouldn't forgive yourself.
"If he finds out, he will get you killed. Oh my God! It's why you insisted I would go, isn't it?" You kept rambling, waving your hands as your eyes were wide in panic.
"This is bad, this is really bad. We have to go back. He can't-" You were suddenly cut off as she grabbed your face before your eyes fell close and you felt her lips on yours.
The warm feeling started spreading through your body at the action. Her lips were soft as they moved slowly against yours, fitting perfectly like they were meant for each other.
You gently grabbed her waist as one of her hands went to your hair, tangling her fingers in it. She deepened the kiss, pulling your head closer to her.
It was passionate and delicate at the same time, making your head dizzy with the feeling she was giving you. You'd never felt anything like this before.
She was absolutely incredible. So much that you both had to slowly pull away when the air became a problem. Your breaths hitting the other's mouth as you were pressed against each other.
"Get the ship up." She whispered against your lips, still holding your face as your eyes widened. "Uh- wha- here? Now?" You started stuttering before she raised an eyebrow at you.
"Oh." You realized what she meant, getting a little embarrassed as she shook her head with a smirk. "Ye-yeah. Yup, got it." Clearing your throat, you quickly moved to the front of the ship, getting in the pilot's seat before getting the ship started.
Valkyrie was chuckling behind you as Hulk stood stunned, making a slight blush cover your face. "Why did I say that?!" You whispered-shouted at yourself, pushing more buttons before the ship was fully in the air.
She was talking to Hulk, sorting everything out and making sure you had everything you needed. She grabbed your bag as stuff was still in it and started taking it out.
You heard a crunching sound and you glanced over your shoulder to see her holding the snacks. "You got my favorite, thanks." She said appreciatively, sending you a warm smile.
"No problem." You said back before looking at her better, she opened one bag of cookies and started munching on them. "And we gotta talk about that kiss later." You added right after as she straightened up.
She stopped eating as she swallowed what was in her mouth. "Oh, we will do more than that." She sent you a wide smirk before running her tongue over her upper teeth.
The look she gave you did things to your lower parts and you swallowed harshly, moving your eyes back to the front. "Don't crash." She chuckled out and you huffed to yourself with a small smile before shaking your head.
You couldn't be happier that she was the last one to kidnap you forever.
She definitely knew what she was doing right there😌 Let me know what you think in the comments!
