I STAND AT the daycare desk tiredly, cheek in hand. I hadn't gotten a break yet, so I took the time to give myself one while the kids were occupied with Sun. Earlier I had choked down a few sips of fizzyfazz, only to find out how disgusting it really was. I eventually ended up giving the rest of it to Sun, who I knew would drink it. He's been bouncing off the walls ever since.

I've often been finding myself thinking about him more than I'd like to admit. Maybe more than I should. When I'm home, I frequently catch myself wondering what he's up to, or if he or Moon think about me as much as I do to them.Sometimes, I even wonder if Liz or the other workers think about the other animatronics as much as I do with the celestial duo.

It's sort of weird, maybe a bit unnatural, but . . They're different. I like them.

I really enjoy my time spent with the two, and I'm not sure why. They're programmed to make kids happy— sure. But, they're also programmed to almost be like an actual person. With feelings, and personalities to make others, not just children, happy.

I can't believe I'm over here daydreaming about some robotic piece of metal. What's wrong with me?

I snap myself from my thoughts, and catch myself from staring at the bright animatronic, sighing out heavily with frustration. Maybe I need something to distract myself with.

"Excuse me?"

I look to my side and see a small child staring up at me. I bend over and smile softly at the little girl. "How can I help you?"

She snivels. "I lost my stuffed Bonnie plush . . I don't know where it went. I had him before nap time, but now he's gone." Tears brim her eyes. She couldn't have been any older than five. I frown down at her as tears slip passed her eyes and fall down her face.

It must feel like her whole world just broke apart.

"It's okay! I'll help you find him. Come on sweetie." I offer her a sympathetic smile as she takes my hand. We look around the daycare, going under tunnels, through some of the ball pit, and looking around the corner of the room. We eventually earned Sun's attention for a bit. He furrowed a brow curiously, before coming up to us. "What's wrong?" His head tilted.

I look down to the girl and make a crooked frown.

"I lost my Bonnie plush . ." The girl sniffles, cheeks now a flushed red. "Oh, no!" Sun leaned down slightly, bending comically at the knees, to be somewhat even to her level. She shrunk back, frowning.

"Well it's a good thing I found one earlier." He winked, then he booped her on the nose with his cold finger. "A little boy had stolen it during nap time . . I'm not sure how Moon let that slide— but he's banned now!" Sun smiled. "So you don't have to worry anymore!"

The girls face lit up, eyes widening, and brows raising. "You found my Bonnie?"

"Yes ma'am!" Sun stood to his normal height, and reached out his hand for her to take. She accepted it, letting go of mine. We followed Sun over to the lost and found box, and watched as he pulled out the plush. It's blue color was beginning to fade into a grey, and the arm was loosing its stitching. It looked as if it had either been stretched to shreds, or as if she had forgotten it outside a few too many times.

The girl gasped, taking it into her hands, looking it over. "Thank you!" She threw her arms around the celestial Sun, and hugged him tightly. Sun chuckled softly in return, giving the girl a pat on the head.

"You're welcome, Sunshine! That rule breaker will never be back here again." He grins proudly.

Something about this scenario just warmed my heart. Seeing the way Sun cares so much about the kids here, is so cute. He's such a sweetheart.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She giggles happily, hugging him tighter. He smiles, and lets go of the girl, telling her to run along and go play.

Creeping over to Sun's side, I catch him smiling over the view of the daycare. He had been the reason why everything was running so smoothly.

My elbow nudges him, and he glances curiously down to me. "You made her day."

By the end of the shift, Sun and I were pretty much exhausted. I never knew that he could be less energetic than his usual self. It was almost foreign to see him like that.

He had been talking to the little girl's mother, telling her all about her lost Bonnie plush, and how they had found it. The brunette woman grinned brightly at the animatronic, holding her daughter on her hip. "Thanks so much! I'd have to be listening to that all night if she didn't come home with her stuffed animal." The woman rolled her eyes with a laugh. "She's always loosing this ratty thing."

"It was no problem!" Sun rocked on his feet, hands behind his back. "Anything to keep you gals happy."

"You're too sweet," the woman waved him off, smiling like an idiot.

Something in me felt . . annoyed? She was pretty. Too pretty. And they were chatting it up— to a point, where, I was genuinely curious if Sun had some feelings for her or not. The woman was always dropping her daughter off in the mornings, so it's not like they hadn't talked before.

I glance over at them from the desk I stood behind. I try to desperately keep myself distracted, grabbing papers, stacking things as I go. But my eyes find it hard not to stay strained to them.

"Well, have a good day, Sunshine!" Sunrise smiles at the woman. She laughs, flushing a bit as she walks away.

'Sunshine'?

I thought that was a personal nickname?Maybe I'm overthinking it.

Sun trots over to the desk, smiling down at me. I raise a brow up at him. "How's it goin' gumdrop?" He asks curiously, leaning an arm against the desk. I shrug, looking up to him. "Fine." My reply was a bit cool toned. I continue fixing up some of the messy areas underneath the desk.

He frowns slightly, looking me over. I'm sure he was scanning my emotions with his system abilities. "Just fine?" He asks.

"Mhmm. I see you made a new friend." I smile over at him, cheekily. He tilts his head to the side in question, thinking back. "Oh! Her? Not really," he shrugs, tapping a pen on the desktop. "She's just a regular who brings her daughter in, weekly."

"I dunnooo," I smirk, leaning over the desk at him. "You gave her a nickname . . I don't think you see her as 'just a friend'." I tease. "I think you like her."

The pen tapping stops, and he sets it down on the desk. Sun pulls back, staring me directly in the eyes. I smirk harder, making him break. "No, I can't like her, because I already like somebod-" he cuts himself off like somebody had just told him to stop talking.

I drop my smile. Who did he like? Was it . . not me?

Maybe if I play it off cool, he'll tell me. "Who!" I press on, more curiosity itching my brain. My hips swung around the desk, and I walk up to him at a fast pace. Sun looks down nervously at me. "Come on, put me on!"

He chuckles, avoiding eye contact. "Uh, no. I can't tell you."

I pout. "Why not?"

"Ah, ah." He shrugs, stepping away. "Some things are just better left unsaid. Besides, Moon doesn't want you to know." The celestial robot shoots me a sly smile.

Why would Moon not want me to know?

"Secrets aren't nice." I say.

"Why? Are you jealous?" His voice creeps back into my head. My eyes widen, and my body flinches. Sun leans against the desk again, a smirk resting on his face. "—Because, my senses are picking up some type of weird emotion coming from you." He narrows his eyes onto me.

I feel my face burn with embarrassment and I shake my head to dismiss the feeling. "No way," a hiss escapes me. My arms cross over my chest. "Why would I be jealous? I'm happy for you."

It was true, I was jealous— but Sun didn't need to know that; and neither did Moon. And his system, needed to stop censoring that I was !

"Are you sure?" His head tilted quizzically. I picked up the tone of voice he used, and it sounded like he was teasing me back.

"I'm positive." I grit my teeth. "Jealousy isn't an emotion I carry." My shoulders shrug.

I'm such a shit liar, and I'm sure he and Moon both figured that out already. It's not fair— he has a calibrated system. He could figure out almost anything about me!

"That's strange," he circles me, hands behind his back. I watch curiously. "Because I'm definitely sensing that negative emotion off of you."

I huff, waving him off. "Your battery must be low."

"It's okay if you feel that way- - It just means you care about me!" Sun wraps his arms around me. His metal body plates heat up, feeling warm to the touch. "I care about you, too. So does Moon."

I smirk softly at the floor. "He made that pretty clear." Sun pulls himself back, looking me over. "What do you mean?"

I shrug, allowing my smirk to rise in his face. "Wouldn't you like to know."

I'm not sure why teasing Sun is so much fun— but I guess it just is. Making him question his own sanity for the sake of my own enjoyment was pretty enjoyable.

"I would." The celestial stiffens. "Did he . . say something?"

My shoulders shrug once again, and I raise my hands in question. I turn around and walk back behind the desk to start packing up my things.

"Y/N! Come on, tell me!" He follows suit. I continue to stay quiet, only allowing myself to hum sarcastically. Oh, how the tables have turned.

I chortle out a "no way".

If I can get this out of him without even asking, I win.

"Well, did he do anything out of the normal that I wouldn't do?" Sun cradles his fingers anxiously. A snort leaves me. "Not really."

"Not really? Or not at all?"

I roll my eyes, stuffing my phone charger into my purse. Sun watches me strictly. Zipping my purse back up, I swing it over my shoulder and walk up to him. My free hand makes it's way to his shoulder, and I smile. "Sunny, calm down. I don't know your deepest, darkest, secrets. I haven't heard any of them. And Moon was nice to me, that was it."

It was true, and I didn't want him to keep worrying it over in his head. "Don't over think it."

He heats up, looking down at me with a soft frown.

"I'll see you tomorrow. I'm tired, and my bed is really calling my name right now." I wave goodbye.
