chapter 15

oh fuck oh fuck.

i'm actually falling for you.

you and finn had just finished your scene together. the memories of when you practiced before kept floating in your mind, and during filming, it just felt all too real. the chemistry between you both was so electric. everyone applauded you when you had finished. 

"well done guys! i'm so proud of the chemistry you guys have! the fans are not gonna know what hit them." matt says as you and finn look at each other with huge smiles.

"yeah, to be honest, i think we did pretty good." you say as finn nods, before you both turning back to the duffer brothers.

the brothers both look at you both as there eyebrows moved upwards. they look at each other and smirk.

"well, at least we know where they got there chemistry." matt says as ross tilts his head, giving matt an eagering signal towards you and finn. you were hesitant.

"so, about one of your scenes that your filming tomorrow, we have-" you interrupt matt immediately as you pretend to check the time.

"oh sorry! gotta go re-do my makeup and hair and practice cause i'm a bit behind, you can just tell us tomorrow. come on finn, let's go." you grab finn by the hand, as you almost yank his arm off walking. finn pulls behind you, turning and shrugging his shoulders to the duffer brothers.

your heart races as you knew what the duffer brothers were about to say. you were confused of the dates of scenes, as you weren't quite sure if it was tomorrow or the day after you were filming the kissing scene. 

finn couldn't know about it. especially after declaring his feelings, you didn't know if he was really telling the truth or not. finn pulls softly at your arm as you get pull back towards him. he spins you around facing him, putting his arm around your waist.

"yes finn? we ain't acting anymore." you say with sass, as finn rolls his eyes, dropping his arm behind your waist.

"what was that back there?" he asks as you look to the ground, a guilty face forming.

"uh, what do you mean? i need to re-do my hair and makeup? and i need to practice." you shrug as finn shakes his head.

"okay...but why did you interupt the duffer brothers? they were gonna say something their about our script, it could be important and its rude how you acted." finn says as you sigh.

"i know, i just want to do well in this scene. i have to meet joe soon and i need to be in character before that. it was rude of me, i will apologise to them when we have to be back on set." you look up at finn as you try and make him feel guilty. you knew it wasn't right, but you didn't want finn knowing about the kiss.

yes, okay, you knew it wasn't a big deal now since he did kind of admit that he liked you. but, he was very fussy with his feelings, it seemed he liked the idea of a girlfriend just not you as his girlfriend. you needed to be sure he wanted you, not the girl that is gonna kiss him for a scene. not even kiss, but make out.

"alright, well, i should get ready anyway. i'll see you on set." he says as he walks off with his hands in his pockets. as he turns his head, you let out a big sigh of relief. it was hard to lie to people, you hated doing it especially when you were the person in the wrong.

but you had to for this. for this romance story between you and finn, you wanted this story to last. and it had to be done by lying.

you walk into your trailer as your greeted by your usual makeup artist.

"i should really get to know your name." you say as she laughs.

"its liza. now, touch-ups for the second scene? i might add some volume in your hair since it needs to look like you've been running around a lot." liza says as you smile.

"thank you. just a quick touch up cause i need to meet with-" 

you see the trailer door open as you look and see joe walking in.

"i was just about say i need to meet up with you but i guess not." you say as he laughs, sitting in the chair beside you. 

"you ready for this scene?" he asks as you hesistate, before slightly nodding your head.

"your not at all are you?" he asks as you shake your head.

"i have no idea what i'm suppose to do! i've never done a full on scene like this before, and i'm scared i won't make it real enough since there won't be anything actually attacking me and hugging finn is gonna be so awkward and-" you stop yourself from saying more as joe eyebrows lift.

"hugging finn? why you scared about that?" joe says as you sigh.

"we had a moment before shooting our first scene today. i don't know, it was nice." you say as joe smiles.

"finns a good kid, he's just mixed in his feelings. but, if he admits he likes a girl, he means it." 

joe says it, not knowing about what finn had done, but it sure as hell made you happy.

"yeah...thanks." you answer him, as you look into the mirror.

"so anyway, i'll sit here with you until your finished so we can rehearse." joe says as you smile.

"sure, so, what scenes have you shot?" you ask joe.

"well, did one with natalia and charlie where they were in a couple in school and steve was annoyed. its fun shooting with them, but i personally ship stancy." he says as you laugh.

"i personally do too, but you aren't allowed to say anything about them are you?" you ask joe as he shakes.

"no, not until we finish filming. the brothers are annoying like that." joe says as you smile, rolling your eyes sarcastically.

"yes, very annoying." you think about your kissing scene again. how it will be like with finn. if it will be awkward or not. 

it's gonna be your first kiss, your first proper kiss. kissing your celebrity crush, a celebrity crush you never thought in a million years you would meet.

but you did. and not only that, but you became friends. and now, he likes you.

he really likes you.

you still can't get that out of your head. but it still bothers you for what he did in the past. he messes with your emotions a lot. you just don't know if what he says is what he means.

actions speak louder than words.

"alright sweetie, all done. quicker than ever." liza says, as you get out of your day dream and look yourself in the mirror. with you wearing less makeup than you normally try to do, with your acne spots sometimes coming in, you were quite proud of your natural skin and natural beauty. with the makeup, it made you not break out and even though they do go over with smoothing effects, the makeup made you feel confident as ever. it's possibly why your more open to finn and the way you act in front of him, cause you have that confidence bigger than ever.

but maybe it's just alex's confidence. not yours.

"come on, we gotta go. we need some practice." joe gets out of his seat as you wave goodbye to the makeup artists. he opens the trailer door for you as you smile at him, a instant thought of finn. you walk out and begin walking over to 'home'.

"okay so, starts from me screaming right?" you say to joe as he nods.

"yeah, cause the demi-dogs goes to attack you, so just run down the stairs panicing."

you follow joe's instructions as you hurriedly run downstairs. your acting face of horror appears as you feel your heart beating fast, the adrenaline and thought of being in the actual situation made you panic.

"steve! STEVE! STEVE HONESTLY, IF THIS IS PRANK I SWEAR TO FU-" you scream out your words, with emphasis. you stop as you look up at the stairs, as in the scene the demi-dog slowly runs down, stopping and looking at you.

"so the demi-dog is at the top, and before it pounces, i come in." joe goes over his bit broadly, just stepping in front of you as you grab his left arm.

"you can hurt me, but you can't hurt her." joe says, staring up at the empty staircase at the top. you shake on joe's arm violently.

"yes, yes, good job. make sure to show your really scared. remember, you have no idea what is at the top. all you know that it is evil." joe reassures as you nod. you shake a bit harder as you make your chest expand quickly.

the demi-dog then comes down as steve then hits it with his bat. alex then runs to the kitchen behind, searching for something. when she finds a knife, a knock on the door is heard. she sprints over to the door as she looks at the keyhole, to see mike. 

mike has come to apologise from in the science room, as he didn't want to lead her on cause he likes eleven. but a scene before that shows him discussing with dustin that he's un-sure which then dustin tells him to visit her and talk about it.

little does he know, he's walking into a war zone.

"okay, so the rest we can have finn in it obviously, well done though. that was pretty well done for someone who hasn't acted with imagination before." joe says as you smile.

"thanks." you answer as you hear footsteps from behind. you turn around and see finn approaching, in a new jumper and his hair re-done.

"hello mike. welcome to war zone." you say as finn laughs. you look up behind him as you see the brothers, camera-man and crew walk in prepared for filming of scene.

"okay you all ready? remember don't need to get it perfect first try, we're just going over it in best quality we can just so we know what to expect. focus on lines and on you, not the scene." matt says as all of you nod.

"okay start from alex running down the stairs. and ACTION!"

start scene

alex runs down the stairs, her heart beating one millions times a minute. she had no idea what was happening, a random alien type dog had come in, opening its mouth roaring at her. she was upstairs, doing work and thinking of mike where she hears the breaking of the door, as she goes to check it out, she then sees it. it comes to her door, pouncing at her as she pushes it off immediately, running downstairs. she was terrified of the thing, and had no idea what the 'thing' was.

"steve! STEVE! STEVE, HONESTLY IF THIS IS A PRANK I SWEAR TO FU-" she stops as the demi-dog jumpers down on the platform of the stairs. it glares at her at the top of the stairs as she pants quickly. she looks at it with all fear in her eyes. it looks at her, twisting its head to have more a of vision and to prepare to pounce. 

before it does, steve runs in front of her with his baseball bat with nails at the end. he is panting as hard as he can, from running from the lab as soon as he got the warning of demi-dogs coming outside the lab. alex holds onto his hand, shaking hard. her eyes are teary, as she is scared shitless.

"you can hurt me, but you can't hurt her. COME ON!" he screams as the demi dog jumps as alex runs over to the kitchen as steve swings his bat, hitting it across to the living room. 

alex goes straight to the drawers and cabinets, looking for a big knife for protection, as her hands shake in-furiously. she messes up at the drawers as she looks. until she reaches the third drawer, she finds one of the biggest knifes as the sound of a doorbell is heard. 

she immediately runs over to it, looking at the keyhole with the knife in her hand. she stops, as she sees mike. mike is standing there, swinging back and forth with awkwardness.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT MIKE! KINDA BUSY HERE!" alex screams as mike rolls his eyes.

"can you let me in?" mike says as the roar of the demi-dog screams in pain. mike face freezes as he goes to unlock the door.

"NO, DON'T OP-" he opens it with ease, as alex weak, scared limbs give out. he walks inside to see steve with the demi dog, smashing it with the baseball bat.

"WELL FUCK!" he says, looking up at alex as she feels tears in her eyes. the demi dog is on the floor, getting hit while steve is on top of it. with its leg, it kicks steve, lounging him towards the couch on the opposite end. 

all in a quick instance, mike looks at alex with all fear in his eyes as he snatches the knife from her.

"GET BEHIND ME!" he screams as alex with all shock in her heart and soul, runs behind him. both their hands intertwine as they both shake in fear. the demi-dog shakes its head as it gets up, flipping its head straight towards mike and alex. it licks and growls, as it slowly walks towards mike and alex. alex wraps her arm around mikes as mike holds the knife. 

the demi-dog pounces as finn stabs it, but it just lunges it backwards. the knife doesn't effect it, which mike panics. he turns to alex as he looks at her with love, hugging her.

 she hugs him back as he hugs to protect her. they are both shaking together, frightened. mike is hugging her so tight as he whispers.

"i'm sorry."

suddenly, the sound of the demi-dog falling on the floor is heard as mike and alex quickly turn. steve stands their as he takes in big breathes. mike and alex look in so much happiness as they smile at steve, their eyebrows lift in surprise.

"little shit." steves says, before kicking for one last time
