Growing up... the concept seemed to foreign to the loser's club, for years they had been the group of seven weird kids that everyone hated for their own reasons.. Maybe for being loud, or for being over weight or maybe even for the skin color you were born with but for the seven of them that shit didn't matter. None of them cared about what the other's in Darry had to say about them, the whispers that could heard around the streets as they drove by..

"Those kids will go no where in life.."

"Their poor parent's.."

"Those children cannot be normal.."

or maybe the list of names that a certain blonde haired boy and his dumbass friends would shout as they passed.. Wheezy, Faggot, Whore, Flammer, Lard ass, Pansy.. No matter times kids shouted and picked they just didn't care because as people tried their hardest to seem cool and fit in with the "Cool" people the loser's had each other, the seven of them had each other no matter what they would always have each other.. At the end of that eventful summer they had made a promise to each other, "Even after w-we leave D-Darry, the loser's c-club wont dr-drift apart" Bill said holding a broken piece of glass in the his hand his eyes darting around at the group.. That day the seven of them promised to make it through anything together, that they would never let anything drift them apart.. So through senior year their friendship had stayed strong, spending every moment they could together staying their normal bickering bunch even as changes formed like Ben and Bev finally admitting that they did have feeling's for each other so yet another relationship formed within the group, and as far as relationships went.. Eddie and Richie had been doing pretty good if you ignore the break up they had for a few weeks during October but other then that they two stayed the same, after months of keeping it hidden within the walls of their shitty school the two boys just grew tired of constantly having to hide their relationship so they stopped.. They started walking down the halls holding hands or giving each other quick kisses before splitting up going to their classes, it took Eddie a bit more time to get used to the changes compared to Richie he felt bad for being scared because he really did love Richie.. He meant it the first day he said it, but after weeks of fearing about someone attacking him he started to realize that maybe nobody cared as much as much as he thought. Yeah the two got weird dirty looks as they walked down the halls hand in hand and the names that they would hear whispered as they passed but they had been used to that since the fifth grade so it really hadn't changed as much as Eddie feared so the anxious feeling he had started to wear away letting him relax and enjoy his relationship.

But the day had come.. No matter how much they wished they could stay a teenager forever and enjoy the fun warm summer's without having a care in the world, but those were just dreams.. Stupid childhood dreams, Graduation day had finally arrived.. Richie stood out leaning against the brick wall watching the school staff preparing the seats for the parents to sit on out side since the school had a large enough lawn, inside all the senior students were inside the large cafeteria looking over the rolls of gowns hung up each with a matching cap. Eddie was looking through the rows trying to find his name "Hey Eddie yours is over here!" Ben calls out pointing over to a rack a few feet away from his the row labeled K, the room was large so the six of them were spread out "Have you seen Richie? He need's to come grab his" Eddie shakes his head hating that his boyfriend left everything to the last minute "I saw him outside last" Bev appears next to Eddie making him jump letting out a small yelp "Jesus! Don't sneak up in me like that Bev you're gonna kill me before I even get to graduate!"

"Sorry" she says with a small chuckle holding the plastic cover that was protecting her gown from getting anything one it while she held the hat in her other hand "does it suit me?" she smirks placing the blue hat on top of her head striking a pose making Eddie laugh "Oh for sure"

"Have a fashion show in here?" Richie chuckles giving the two an amused look as he walks in hands hidden deep in his pockets, he was in no rush to get this over with.. He remembered being so excited about leaving Derry but something felt different now, it was because after this was done.. He'd be saying goodbye to Eddie until they see each other again which could be years in the future, the two had already fought about this multiple times and it always ended with Richie sounding like an asshole.. "What are you saying? That you want me to not go to college and just wait here until you decide what you want to do with your life!?"

"What no! Jesus Christ Eddie all I'm saying is that maybe you are leaving to quick! I have a year left with you before you run away!"

"I'm not fucking running away Richie!"

"Sure seems like it!"

"Oh fuck off asshole"

Since the topic nearly caused another break up between the two, Richie stopped bringing it up but it still bothered him.. It hurt to just look at Eddie knowing that his Uncle was already here to watch him graduate then he was gone.. The two running off to fucking New York City which was like an eight hour drive away from Maine but he knew that this was best for Eddie so he kept himself quiet, "Dude go get your gown, we have like an hour left" Eddie rolls his eyes motioning for him to go "Okay Okay, I'm going" Richie chuckles walking away to go scan the racks while he did that the other's hurried to get their gowns on fixing anything with their outfits or anything.

"I'm going to fucking trip, and it's going to be in front of everyone I already see it coming" Eddie sighs while fixing his hair, his nerves making him jitter "Hey relax Eddie, you'll do fine and you look great!" Bev reassures him placing both hands on his shoulders shaking him slightly "So stop worrying and enjoy today! We are finally out of this fucking school!"

"Do I seriously have to wear this? I'm going to look like a girl" Richie groans walking back up to the group "Maybe if you cut your hair it would help" Stan mumbles making Richie shoot him a glare "What has my hair ever done to you Stan"

"Hurt my eyes?"

"You're jealous" Richie shrugs, his hair had definitely grown over the year the dark brown stands just barely touching his shoulder's showing of natural waves that came out of nowhere and not once over the years had he cut it because he likes the way it looks "Okay Hobo" Stan rolls his eyes the group letting out small laughs "Dick" Richie mumbles looking back down at his gown "Everything okay?" Eddie whispers to him making Richie look over at him a small smile growing on his face seeing him stood their in the blue gown that came down to the top of his feet "Couldn't get your size huh?"

"Oh shut up" He groans shoving his arm "Alright kids, I want you all in your gowns and outside in ten, I repeat I want you all out there ready in 10!" the principal calls out into the large room his voice booming off the wall letting all the students hear him. The room suddenly becomes louder the found of scurrying footsteps and excited chattering filling the silence, the seven of them quickly finish getting ready Richie pulling the gown over his head fitting it properly glancing at himself in one of the mirrors cringing when he sees himself. "How does anyone mange to look good in these things?"

"Jeez, thanks dickhead" Eddie roll's his eyes again "Of course I didn't mean you! You look great in anything" Richie smirks trying to save his ass but Eddie just glancing at him before rolling his eyes again "Nice try", now that the whole group was ready they join the group of other seniors who were making their way outside through the large double back doors leading right out to where they should be. "You guy's ready for this!" Bev sticks her hands in the air skipping along "I am so ready to get out of this school" Ben agrees with his girlfriend making her smile over at him "L-let's do t-this!" Bill shouts making the six of them cheer loudly the other kids giving them weird glances, walking through the doors they were met with the bright sun seeing the rows of parents stood by their chairs clapping upon seeing the teens.

Richie look's around spotting his parents a sad smile on his mothers face as she gave him a small wave that he returned, sadly they had to line up in alphabetic order so the group was broken up but they all give each other one last thumbs up before their old principal began his speech.

"I am pleased to be here today giving these smart, bold and amazing kids one final goodbye before they are off into the adult world, watching these kids grow has been an amazing time.. I'm proud to stand here saying goodbye today seeing the mature adults they have become today" Richie roll's his eyes knowing damn well that the old prick had spent half of the year scolding him for shit the kid didn't even do.. "I will know call each of you up one by one to come collect your diploma" he says before looking down at the paper with each kids names in order of last names in alphabetic order, the group barely knew half the kids he called up but soon "Bill Denbrough" was called out the stuttering teen walking up the three steps until he was up on the make shift stage collecting the paper shaking the mans hand with a proud smile on his face he turns to the crowd letting his mother get a photo of him.

Ben does the same thing when he was called up making the line move along, more and more teens taking up the rows of empty chairs saved for them, "Eddie Kaspbrak" Richie watch's him walk up the steps accepting his diploma quickly shaking his hand before turning to face the crowd with a proud smile Richie glances at the crowd seeing the teens uncle stood up loudly clapping his hands making him smile at least someone was here for him.. His own mother didn't even show up.. When Eddie look's back at the line of students he see's Richie and gives him a smile seeing the thumbs up Richie gave in return, he hurries off the stage taking a seat next to Bill and Ben since the other's kid didn't want to sit next to them which just meant more room for the group to sit together "Good job Eddie" Ben whispers "So I didn't look too stupid?"

"N-nope just s-stupid enough" Bill teases making Eddie chuckle "Okay good"

"Beverly Marsh" The older mans voice calls out the red head walking up to the stage her hair still kept short since she said she liked it shorter anyway, after accepting her diploma she ignores his hand that was extended for her instead she faces the crowd holding the diploma in one hand while using her other hand to flip off the group of teenagers their gasp feeling the crowd until loud clapping breaks through which of course belonged to her aunt a proud smile on her face. "Holy shit you really did it!" Ben laughs once she sit's down next to Eddie a giddy smile on her face "Duh did you think I was gonna chicken out?"

"You? Chicken out? I would be crazy to think that"

"Yes. Yes you would" She smirks Bill and Eddie exchanging a glance before Eddie sticks out his tongue "God please stop before I barf"

"We had to deal with you and Rich flirting for years, it's only fair" Bev laughs playfully shoving the boy, after a few more kids go through "Richie Tozier" his name was finally called he let's out a sigh his legs were starting to kill him from just standing there so he walks up the steps accepting his diploma and does the whole hand shaking thing "Glad you won't see me anymore" Richie whispers making the older man sneak a cold glance at him "I'll make sure to drop by and visit" he grins seeing his jaw tighten as he moves onto the next diploma making Richie roll his eyes turning to the crowd giving a smile so his parents could get a picture then he hurries to sit down "God he is such a prick"

"We went through years with him Richie, we already knew that" Bev sighs that old man had given the six of them such a hard time that she was sort of glad Mike never had to deal with his since it was obvious that he was a racist prick.. Stanley was the last of the group to go up on the stage the six of them cheering loudly making the teen roll his eyes a small smirk tugging at his lips as he walked off the stage diploma in hand "You are such assholes"

"Awww, we were just cheering for you Stanny" Richie teases reaching over to mess up his curly hair "Fuck off dude" he groans swatting his hand away, the large group of teens stand up listening to the last of the old mans speech well everyone beside Richie who was internally rolling his eyes the whole town. "You may now throw your caps" is the only thing he really hears listening as they start counting down, once they hit one the air above them was filled with the same blue hat for a quick few seconds before they came dropping back down the senior's cheering loudly.

"We did it!" Beverly cheers her hands in the air a large smile on her face the rest of the group joining in on her cheering, "It's finally fucking over!" Richie shouts before a pair of arms were thrown around his "Oh my boy! You're an adult now!" his mom gasp squeezing him tightly "Can't breath mom" he laughs making the women let go wiping a tear off her cheek.

"I am so proud of you!"

"Thanks mom"

"And I'm proud of all of you too!" She says turning to face the group all of the teens smiling "Thanks Mrs. Tozier" they all say around the same time their voices clashing with each other, "Here give your gown I'll put it in the car" Wentworth says making Richie let's out a gasp of relief "Holy shit second, I was going to die if I had to wear that for one more second!" he says ripping the thing up of off of him in seconds making his mother roll her eyes "You are wearing the hat, that is final"

"Fineeee"

The group splits up for a bit their family's wanting to take their own photos, Eddie walks over to his uncle seeing a proud smile on his face "You looked good up there! Didn't seem nervous at all!"

"Well that's good cause I think I had a heart attack"

"Well don't worry we couldn't tell" He chuckles, looking over his shoulder Eddie see's his friends each grouped up with their own families taking pictures he smiles seeing Richie rolling his eyes as his move forced him to take another picture, "I'm sorry we have to leave so soon.."

"No it's okay.. Staying here would only make leaving harder" Eddie sighs, he had been trying to for weeks to make it seem like him moving away wasn't bothering him but god it was eating him alive.. He had spent almost every second with the group and now with a snap of a finger he was going to not seeing them at all so of course it hurt.. "Hey Ed's get over here!" Richie calls out waving him over the rest of the group already stood around him, Eddie glances at his uncle who just gives him a nod signaling that it was okay so he hurries over. Richie throws his arm around the teens shoulder pulling him closer as the other five position themselves around the two, "Smile!" Maggie says holding her camera up to her eye the seven of them break into big smiles as the camera clicks the flash blinding them for a quick second.. Eddie let's out a sigh looking back over at his uncle seeing him leaning against the car giving him a sad smile, turning back to the group he see's their happy faces..

"I uhm.. I have to go" he speaks up making the group stop talking and stare at him "Now!?" Bev gasp rushing over to him "Are you sure you can't wait for like an hour?"

"I wish I could Bev.."

"Eddie" she sighs throwing her arms around him squeezing him tightly feeling tears growing on her bottom eye lid just waiting to roll down her cheeks, "We're gonna miss you" Ben sighs placing a hand on Bev's shoulder as she pulls away wiping a tear off her cheek "I-its not g-gonna be the same w-without you Eddie.." Bill stutters even he was trying not to cry. He and Eddie had been friends before anyone in this group and now he had to watch him leave not knowing when he was going to see his best friend again "I'm not dying Bill" Eddie let's out a chuckle trying to lift the mood, "G-get over here" Bill chuckles throwing his arms around him holding him in a bear hug Eddie hugging back feeling his eyes starting to gloss up..

"See you later Eddie" Stanley gives him a small smile and a quick hug, "Were you gonna leave without saying bye to me?" the group turns around when they hear a voice smiling when they see Mike walking over, it sucked he couldn't graduate with them due to him being homeschooled but he did promise to drop by. "I wouldn't dream of it" Eddie sighs accepting his open arms the two hugging for a few seconds before pulling away from each other, the only person who had yet to say goodbye was Richie who was stood there his arms crossed his brown eyes glued to the ground "Richie?" Eddie speaks up walking over to him "Give me a sec, I'm trying not to cry right now"

"Did I just hear that right? The Richie Tozier is going to cry?" Eddie teases wrapping his arms around the teen's torso making him tense up his eyes still glossy as he hug's him back, "I'm going to miss you Eddie.."

"I'll call Rich.. Don't worry"

"Still.. You're all the way in New York.."

"I'll visit Richie, I'm not going to just disappear"

"I know I know, don't listen to me I'm just getting sappy" he gives a sad chuckle pulling away from him while rubbing his eyes trying to force the tears back in, he did not want to be seen standing here crying.. "I love you Richard" Eddie looks up at him giving him a smile which Richie returns "I love you too, Edward" he sighs leaning down giving him what was going to be their last kiss for how ever long it took until they saw each other again..

"Bye loser's" Eddie waves as he walks over to the car where his uncle was waiting "Bye loser! Don't you forget about us now!" Bev shouts back, "Never!" Eddie laughs giving the group one last look and a wave before getting into the car leaving the small town of Darry behind him.. Sure the town was like living in hell but it had given him the one thing he never wanted to lose..
