ddot and notti groaned as they got up from the couch, following their brother into the car. it was jaelins birthday and he wanted to do something speacial for the girl. real special.

even if they were just fake dating, he wanted it to make it as real as possible. "y'all niggas can stop cause if it was alex or jaz, y'all would wanna do the same thing," dd scoffed.

the two boys mocked him as he started the car and drove off to the store to get the stuff he needed for the girls birthday party. he pulled up at target, getting out with notti and ddot following closely behind.

they started looking around, grabbing birthday party decorations as in balloons, ribbons, baking stuff, etc. he pulled out his phone texting in the groupchat with him, notti, ddot, jasmine, and alexandra.

dd shut his phone off and shoved it back into his front pocket. he looked up at the boys in front of him and smiled, "ready to shop for my girl?" he asked.

jaelin slicked back her edges, taking in a deep breath with a smile on her face. first off, it felt nice to let her natural hair breathe for a little bit considering she had braids in.

and second off, it was her birthday. she's turning sixteen today. it had to be a good day and even if it won't be, she'll still try her hardest to have a good day.

she sat back in her vanity, sighing. she started to put on some light makeup, blending in the very little foundering she put on. "alex!" she called out for her sister.

she came in whilst putting on her puffer jacket. "what's up, birthday girl?" she asked, standing next to her with her hand on the vanity. "what time jaz comin?" she questioned, putting concealer under her eyes, her chin, and her forehead.

she looked over at her sister, waiting for an answer. she looked at her phone for the time and looked back at jaelin. "in aboutttt twenty minutes," she said sitting on her sisters bed.

"okayyy." jaelin said, dragging out the word. alexandra cocked her head at the girl. "any word from dd?" she asked, repositioning herself on the bed.

jaelin sighed as she put on some blush, turning to her sister. "no, not even a happy birthday bro," she said. "lowkey pissed at him. even notti and ddot sent me a happy birthday. and that's saying something." she huffed.

alexandra frowned at her sister who was applying mascara then applying her lashes. jaelin got up from her vanity and getting her white socks. she put them on over her grey leggings and decided to take pictures.

after almost fifteen minutes, jasmine finally pulled up the paige sisters house, texting them letting them know that she's there.

the first place the girls had stopped at was the harlem center for shopping. jaelin was beyond excited cause one, she loved shopping. and two, she needed some more clothes.

jasmine and alexandra loved spending time together with the girl. and even though this is a distraction, to them it was just any other saturday but with a twist.

they started walking around every store jaelin wanted to go to, laughing and talking like how they always do. they were currently in hollister and jaelin walked out with a cream color dress on.

"how do i look?" she asked, twirling around for her friends. "AYEEE," jasmine said, hyping her up. jaelin laughed, messing with her curly hair. "should i get it?" she asked. "girl, yes." alexandra and jasmine said at the same time.

jaelin nodded, going back into the dressing room and changing back into her normal clothes.

she purchased the dress, walking out the store with jasmine to her left and alexandra to her right. they were currently on their way to get some food since they were hungry and have been shopping for an hour.

"have y'all heard from y'all's niggas?" jaelin asked. the two girls looked at her confused. she deadpanned them. "ddot and notti." she clarified. the girls made an 'o' shape with their mouths.

"yeah, notti texted me not that long ago asking what the move was. told him i was hangin' with y'all." jasmine said. alexandra nodded. "yeah ddot texted me earlier asking me how i was and shit." she said.

jaelin rolled her eyes and groaned. "oh my God, bro!" she said, getting weird stares from people as they entered the nearest chic-fil-a.

"what?" jasmine asked, getting in line to order food. "dd hasn't texted me at all today, man. no happy birthday or nothing'." she said. jasmine gave her a weird look.

"that's weird.." jasmine cocked an eyebrow whilst alexandra nodded. the girls ordered their food and sat down, waiting for their number to be called.

jaelin was scrolling through instagram, drinking her sprite when she heard the door open. her head shot up and her jaw dropping. "hell nah, bro," she said under her breath.

"what?" alexandra asked. jaelin discretely points to the boy who walked in. the two girls who's backs turned to the boy, turned their heads and their jaws dropping too.

"nah no mother fucking way," jaelin said. "we're not eating here. we can go home and eat then go to our appointment." she stated. clearly, jason heard the girls voice and looked over at her, smirking.

he started walking over to the girl and tapped her shoulder. she whipped her head around and gave him a smug look. she crossed her arms and cocked an eyebrow. "hi, jason," she said.

he looked the girl up and down. "hey, jae," he said licking his lips. "long time no see, birthday girl." he smiled. his smile used to be her favorite. now dd's smile is her favorite.

"mhm," she said, walking off to get their food. the boy followed her as alexandra immediately pulled out her phone and texted the group chat with notti, ddot, dd, and jasmine.

the boys had been out shopping for the girls party and getting her gifts from each one of them for about two hours now. they finally got home and started setting up all the party directions.

notti was setting up the 'happy birthday' banner, dd was setting up the ribbions around the house, specifically in front of the guest room. ddot was blowing up the silver number balloons, the pink ones, the white ones, and the black balloons.

dd got the grey stuffed dog from the target bag along with the birthday card he got. he quickly signed the card and put a gift card to bath & body works in there.

"damn, bro, i gotta cut off this za," dots said catching his breath. dd and notti laughed at the boy as he blew up the last black balloon and tied it.

he handed the last balloon to dd. "we all know everyone in dis room ain't cuttin' that shit off." dd stated, walking to his bedroom and placing the balloon on the pillow.

dd walked out of the bedroom and walked into the kitchen as melz walked out. "the fuck this all for?" she asked as dd started bringing a whole bunch of food out.

"i'm throwing jaelin a surprise birthday party," he said not making eye contact with his sister and instead looking very confused at the food in his hands. "can you make the food around five thirty, melz? please? i want this to be a good experience for her."

melz smiled at her little brother and nodding a yes before taking all of the food from dd, setting it down and walking outside to start the grill. dd thanked his sister and started grabbing more snacks from the bags, getting bowls out and pouring the chips into them.

"bro, i've never seen this nigga act like this before," ddot whispered to notti. notti nodded in agreement. "me too. and i live with him, like.." he said whilst they analyzed the boy making everything nice and neat just for it to get ruined by people at the party.

"he ain't even do this shit for crystal, ma nigga. he js kissed her and went on with his day." ddot said. notti mugged his bestfriend before turning back to dd. "nah, bro, don't compare ma girl jae to crystal funk ass." notti said, defending the girl.

ddoy laughed, covering his much. "nah you right. she ma twin i can't do her like that." he snorted. notti waved him off and sat back down on the couch as dd brought out different kind of drinks as in water, alcohol, soda, etc.

jaelin, jasmine, and alexandra got up from their seats and looked at their nails in amazement. the nail techs did amazing and everything that they asked for. they went up to the front and alexandra and jasmine payed both combined.

after they payed, jaelin immediately hugged them. "thank you guys. this day was the best so far," she smiled at the two and they all walked out the salon. alexandra smiled at her sister and kissed her on the forehead.

"it's gonna get better, jae," jasmine said as she started the car. "how come?" she asked, taking a picture of all the girls hands, about to post it on her spam instagram. "because we're going to a party." alexandra said.

jaelins face dropped, her mood faltering too. "bro, word to my deads i ain't goin' to dat shit. y'all bein' dayroom." she said, sitting back with her arms crossed.

alexandra rolled her eyes and looked in the backseat. "you have too. i promise, crystal won't be there. we've made sure of that." she said. jaelin huffed and rolled her eyes and went onto instagram to post the girls nails.

jaelin threw her head back in annoyance as she walked out her bathroom in her robe, her phone under her arm, rubbing in her moisturizer with jasmine sitting on her bed.

"what's wrong, mamas?" she asked, looking up from her phone. "i posted our nails and shit just for DD TO LIKE THE PHOTO AND NOT FUCKING COMMENT BRO." she said raising her voice.

alexandra walked into the room, putting on her silver chain with her hair still dripping wet. "what she yellin' fo?" she asked, now putting deodorant on. jasmine sighed and looked over at her. "dd got our girl whipped," she said in disappointment.

alexandra fake gasped, putting a hand over her chest. jasmine and alexandra started bursting out laughing as jaelin flipped them off, entering the bathroom and closing the door to start getting dressed.

she put on her 'pure wonder' lotion from bath & body works then put on the dress she had got from hollister earlier that day. she put on some under eye masks and brushed her teeth.

when she was done, she got out the bathroom to let jasmine start getting ready. she sat down on her vanity and put on another light but heavy makeup.

it was currently seven o'clock and all the girls were done getting ready. jaelin slid on her tan heels and grabbed her baby blue bag whilst alexandra slid on her air forces and jasmine put on her red boots.

jaelin grabbed one of dd's sp5der's hoodies as they all walked out the door. a chill breeze hit the causing javelin to immediately regret wearing what she is wearing. they all got to the car and alexandra sent a text out to 'jaes bday' letting them know they're on the way and for dd to be ready.

people after people flooded the reyes' house hold with ddot opening the door every five seconds, he just decided to leave it open. food plates and bottles of different drinks were everywhere on the ground.

the only thing that stayed untouched was the guest bedroom for jaelin. and dd made sure of that. music filled the boys ear as he walked out of the living room where people were smoking into the kitchen to get something to drink.

he was getting a sprite from the fridge as a random girl approached her. "hey," she said, clearly trying to start conversation. he mugged her, looking at her up and down which she very obviously took the wrong way.

she started smiling, putting a hand on his chest and laughing. "fuck is so funny?" he asked, pushing his hand off of her. she cleared her throat and looked back up at him. "cool party. did you throw this for someone or is it just to have one in general?" she questioned.

"it's for my girlfriend, bro," he said like it was obvious. "and perfect timing cause she's right behind you." he said walking over to jaelin who stood with her shoes in her hands and arms crossed. he placed a small kiss on her forehead and looked back at the darkskin.

her face fell as she pushed her straight hair, which was most definitely a wig, behind her ears "i'm sorry i didn't know," she said looking down. "mhm," jaelin said looking her up and down. "happy birthday." the girl mumbled.

she walked away from the couple, leaving them alone in the kitchen whilst everyone else was upstairs, outside, or in the living room smoking. jaelin turned her body towards the boy infront of her, glaring at him.

"i ain't get no text or nothin'?" she asked him. he sighed and rubbed his face with his hands. "i'm sorry, ma," he said. "i wanted to tell you in person and make it as special as it's gonna be." he breathed out.

she smiled at him then fixed her expression. "it's gonna take me 3-5 business days to forgive you," she said. he shrugged. "okay, then it's gonna take 3-5 business days for me to give you your gift."

"wait, no, no, no, i forgive you." she brought him into a hug as he laughed, hugging her by her waist. butterflies swarmed in her stomach as they released from the hug.

he took her by her hand and led her to the guest bedroom that had pink and white ribbons infront of it. he looked at the girl who was playing with his fingers due to nervousness.

"mamas, relax. está bien." he reassured her. she nodded her head as he turned the door knob, opening the door to where all the balloons and gifts were. she gasped, covering her mouth. no one's ever done this for her. not even callie, her mother.

dd turned to the girl and pulled out a box from his sweats pocket. "i want this relationship to be as real as possible, hermosa. with that being said," he trailed off. he grabbed the girls ring finger and slid on the promise ring he got her. "promise it'll always be real?" he questioned.

she immediately nodded her head yes, a big smile growing onto both of their faces. dd brought her in for a kiss with her hands caressing his face and his hands on her waist.

he pulled away from the kiss, getting the dog, card, and gift basket from the bed. "wait, wait," she said. "put it down. i wanna take a picture and brag about how nice you can be when you want to be. this is a rare ass moment." she said, pulling out her phone.

he laughed and set the things back down, her getting a picture. he got the things back and handed her everything. she sat on the bed, reading the card. she took the bath & body works gift card out and kissed him on the cheek.

she went through the basket that contained some makeup, her favorite food and drinks, more gift cards, a cup plus more. she thanked him, kissing him and hugging him once more before heading back out to the party.

she opened her instagram app, posting the photo of the bedroom that dd set up for her gifts.

it was currently almost one forty-five am and the party was still going on. jaelin was getting quite tired since she didn't smoke nor drink anything to keep her awake. and she didn't plan on it either.

she walked upstairs to dd's bedroom, knocking in the door. when no one answered, that was her cue to go in. she slid the dress off and put her heels to the side. she rummaged through dd's drawers, finding some spongebob boxers and putting them on.

melz had given her a white crop top before she had went upstairs. she quickly changed into that and layed down on the boys bed, scrolling through tiktok on her phone, liking the edits of her and reposting them.

her eyes started to flutter shut, the music blocking out by her swiftly falling asleep into the boys bed.
