Collection of fluff

It's just some fluff I've collected over the week.

Shade.

"My gosh- why is it so sunny today?" Tsukishima grumbled in frustration, the Karasuno volleyball team had come to the beach for the summer break. He watched as the other first years played with the second years. The third years all went to the nearby shop to buy umbrellas and ice-cream so that they won't die from overheating.

Tsukishima turned to look at the ocean, he weighed down the pros and cons. Pros, he will definitely cool off under the cold waters, Cons? He'd get sandy legs later.

He figured it's better to have sandy legs than sunburns. He started to walk to the ocean.

"W-wait, Tsukishima-kun don't move, I need you to block off the sunlight." He felt a hand grip on his wrist. He turned to see Yachi, fending off the sunlight by taking shelter behind him. She gave a cheeky grin.

"Ha!? No way! My skin is burning and it's taking forever for our seniors to get back. I'm going to swim." Tsukishima frowned, Yachi panicked and gripped his hand more.

"No! I don't want the water! Just stay here and be my shade until they come back!" Yachi said, trying to pull him back. Tsukishima grumbled, trying to tug his hand away from the girl. For such a small body, Yachi sure had a grip.

"Let go or I'll swing my arm up!" Tsukishima warned her, looking back to stare at her angrily. Yachi frowned, her lips pouting. She knew Tsukishima could easily swing her up in the air by one hand, it happened many times when she tried pulling him into something he didn't want to do. It's normal for them already but Yachi is starting to get good at tugging his hand back down.

"No! I'll give you more sunscreen so you won't get burnt! please just stay?" Yachi gave her best puppy-eyes, which almost got Tsukishima, almost, to agree.

With one fell swoop, Yachi felt herself getting lifted up off the ground. She shrieked, holding on to his wrist with both of her hands tighter. She frowned and struggled to pull his hand back down, that's when she noticed that Tsukishima was walking.

"W-wait why are we moving to the ocean- What are you doing, Tsukki no!" Yachi tried to tug his hand back down but hearing his menacing laugh was more than enough to know that she was screwed. Tsukishima was knee-deep in the ocean.

"The water sure feels nice Yachi-san!" Tsukishima said pulling both of them down, Yachi screamed as she felt the cold water swallow her whole. She got back up to take a deep breath. Tsukishima was laughing so hard, he was sitting down while Yachi was beside him, angrily glaring daggers at him.

"Tsukki!!" She splashed water on his face. Tsukishima stuck his tongue out, splashing water in her direction too.

"See? it feels nice right?" Tsukishima said, Yachi pouted. She hates to admit but the cold ocean felt nice against her burning skin. Tsukishima grinned harder, knowing the girl agrees.

"Shut up!" Yachi barked at him, folding her arms.

"I didn't say anything," Tsukishima teased her, poking on her cheeks.

"Your eyes say everything!" Even though she was angry, she wasn't angry enough to pull his hand away. Tsukishima smiled and pinched her cheek, which she whined.

"Just admit that I was right."

"Never!"

-

That time of the month again?

Tsukishima was just walking home from the movie theater that Hinata, Kageyama, and Yamaguchi forced him into. He sighed tiredly as he rubbed the drowsiness in his eyes. He was almost home, he just has to take the bus back. Suddenly his phone rang.

"Yachi? Why did you call?" Tsukishima said after answering the call. He heard some sniffles and whines.

"I want chocolate and my favorite hot tea. And I want my blanket with my heat pack and my Dino bear that is so far away!" Yachi whined. Tsukishima froze, knowing all too well what this meant.

"I'll be right there." He gently said and ended the call, avoiding the girl from exploding into fits of anger and cries. He quickly bought everything he needed and more before rushing to the girl's house.

There he stood, in front of the apartment door, scared for what he is about to face. An Angry Yachi is already scary enough, but an angry crying AND emotional Yachi? That's some high-level hell Tsukishima would rather not deal with. He took a deep breath and knocked.

"Come in." He heard the small whimper. To his surprise, the door was already unlocked. He frowned, walking in.

"Yachi-san, you shouldn't leave the door unlock and why is your living room lights off?" Tsukishima took off his shoes and switched on the lights. There he saw Yachi on the floor, in a fetal position. He almost had a heart attack.

"Jesus- Why are you on the floor!? And near the entrance too. C'mon, get up." Tsukishima placed the plastic bag down and walked to the girl, helping her up. She whined and he ended up just carrying her to the couch.

She looked to be in pain, which Tsukishima felt terrible for. Why are periods so painful? He will never get to understand it, Yachi would always say it felt like a spoon repeatedly stabbing your stomach.

After he knew she felt comfortable, he went to grab her fluffy blanket and the Dinosaur plushie that he bought for her. He gave her the plushie and wrapped her up in her blanket.

"Here, the chocolates you wanted. And I bought your favourite snacks if you want something salty, which I know you would after the chocolates. I'll prepare your tea." Tsukishima said, giving her a small peck on her forehead. She smiled through the pain and nodded. He heated the heat pack and boiled the water for her tea. Once he had finished, he came back to Yachi halfway done with the chocolate. She placed the chocolate down and opened up her arms, the blanket dropping down her back, she wore a cute puppy face.

"I want cuddles." Yachi pouted. Tsukishima set the cup of tea on the coffee table and got on the couch, falling onto her arms as he placed the heat pack on her stomach. The small female sighed in relief as her giant boyfriend hugged her gently.

"Thank you, Tsukishima-kun." She said, her voice muffled by his shirt. Tsukishima gave a hum as he on the Tv.

They ended up watching a rom-com, it was at the part where the guy was leaving the country for good (Because of some job offer that he dreamed to have) and the girl was running around the airport searching for him. Tsukishima turned to his side where she was sniffling and hugging him tightly. He wiped her tears away, catching her attention. Yachi turned to him, her worried eyes and the tears dripping down her cheek, Tsukishima's heart might as well mal-function right there.

"Would you leave me like the guy in the movie, Tsukishima-kun?" Yachi's voice was barely heard. Tsukishima couldn't help but flick her forehead, her girlfriend is so silly sometimes. He sighed, rubbing gentle circles on where he flicked her. Yachi pouted, her tears streaming down more.

"I won't ever leave you just because I was offered a job overseas, that's dumb. You'll be stuck with me whether you like it or not." Tsukishima assured her, giving a gentle smile, he patted her head. Yachi's tears disappeared, leaving a smile on her lips.

"Okay then, if you do try to leave me, I'll shout your name so loud the whole airport would hear. and that'd be embarrassing for you and me." Tsukishima looked at her, surprised. But he burst into laughter, Yachi laughing with him.

"Okay, I'll let you, IF I do try to leave. The same goes for you if you try to leave." Tsukishima said, their laughter dying down. They stared at each other, neither wanting to look away.

"Okay, deal?" Yachi held out her pinky. Tsukishima gladly curled his pinky on hers.

"Deal."

-

Fight.

"What did I tell you!?" Yachi was pulling the blonde male nearer to her, applying some ointment on one of his many bruises. They were at the Gym. Tsukishima got into a fight with a basketball player after practice. Yachi knelt in front of him while his legs were around her, he was leaning back onto his arms while she attended to his face.

"Not to get into fights..." He muttered. Yachi glared at him, placing the plaster on his face a bit too roughly.

"And what did you do!?" She shouted, Tsukishima flinched and stubbornly looked away.

"Got into a fight..." Yachi sighed. She gently wiped the blood on his cheek. He flinched again and she leaned nearer to blow on it. once she knew it was clean, she placed the ointment and lastly placed a plaster on it. She looked at him, worried.

"Why can't you just let it go? I don't want to see you hurt." Yachi caressed his cheek, he whined, closing his eyes.

"It hurts." Placing his hand over hers. He had a few small cuts on his chin, a bruise on his cheek, and a big cut on the other. Yachi stared at the plasters, running her gentle hand on his cheek.

"Then stop getting into fights." Yachi looked back at him, concerned. Tsukishima clicked his tongue, earning a small punch on his shoulder. He sat up and wrapped his hands around her waist.

"But he was saying so much mean things about you." He pouted, Yachi sighed again. She grabbed his left hand and looked at his bleeding knuckles

"It's just words, Kei. I don't care what they say, okay?" She started cleaning the blood, Tsukishima looked at his hand.

"But they don't even know you. Just because you rejected him doesn't automatically make you a bitch. Heck, he was calling you a slut because you hang around with us. How dare he say Tha- ouch!" Yachi dug her nails into his hand, getting his attention.

"Kei," Yachi stared at him seriously. His furrowed eyebrows softened. "I don't care whatever they say. Maybe when we were first years I would have cared... But not now, not ever again. If they have a problem with me, then they should say it to my face. So don't just go and fight everyone who says bad things about me, because you don't deserve to get hurt over silly matters." Yachi finished bandaging his hand. She smiled softly.

"Okay?" Tsukishima frowned, looking away. Yachi tilted her head to make him see her, giving a stern stare right at him. "Promise me you won't fight anymore."

"Fine." Tsukishima pouted, but he couldn't just easily do that. Yachi gave him a stare, not believing his word. Tsukishima clicked his tongue, muttering. "I'll try at least."

"Good, now let's go?" Yachi asked, packing the medical equipment. Tsukishima frowned, tugging on her hand. Yachi turned to him, he was blushing and looking away from her.

"You forgot... You forgot my kisses." Tsukishima whispered, shyly looking at her. Yachi giggled, he frowned but stopped when Yachi leaned nearer to him.

"Of course, how could I forget?" Yachi started kissing his cheeks that had plasters, then his forehead, and then his chin. Then she grabbed his hand and kissed his knuckles. She looked back up to Tsukishima blushing hard.

"Is it enough? does it feel better?" Yachi asked, Tsukishima leaned nearer to her, shaking his head no. Yachi couldn't help but laugh at how cute her boyfriend was being. "Okay."

Yachi gave him all the kisses he wanted until he was happy. In the end, Tsukishima was a grinning, blushing mess. He held her near to her.

"Thank you for always looking out for me," Yachi said, hugging him. Tsukishima sighed in content.

"Thank you for always taking care of me."

-

No! It's not her!

"So so? What are we gonna do? Just stare at the ceiling?" Sugawara asked. This week the Karasuno volleyball players have training camp. They were at an inn after practices and they were all trying to get some sleep.

"Go to sleep Suga," Daichi called out, causing a whine from the white hair.

"C'mon! No one is even falling asleep. now tell me, does anyone like anyone?" Suga sat up straight turning to everyone who was laying down. Hinata also sat up, pulling Kageyama with him. Tanaka seemed to be fired up and also got up.

"Kiyoko-san is so pretty every day!" Nishinoya said, smiling giddily. Tanaka agreed with him. Sugawara rolled his eyes.

"Besides you two. How about our first years? Anyone interested hmmm???" Sugawara asked, the 4 first years flinched. Well, they already knew Yamaguchi liked a girl in his class. Hinata and Kageyama practically would marry volleyball if it was a person. So that only left Tsukishima, who suddenly felt a cold shiver down his spine. All the 3 four years sat up quickly, even Daichi.

"Tsukishima~," Suga said, crawling nearer to the blonde male. Tsukishima tried to act like he was sleeping. Ennoshita tried to defend the male but even the first years wanted to know. Everyone wanted to know.

"Don't pretend to sleep Tsukki. You still have your glasses on." Yamaguchi pointed out, causing Tsukishima to flinch and open his eyes. Suga was already grinning evilly. Tsukishima quickly got up and tried to run away.

"Don't let him get away!" Daichi called out, the guys panicked and ran to him. Hinata held his left leg, Yamaguchi on his right. Nishinoya practically tackled his back. Tanaka and Kageyama blocking the door. Tsukishima was trapped.

"L-Let me go!" He struggled, trying to get Nishinoya to let go of him. Soon enough he was pinned back down on the ground. Daichi was going to scold them, but it was too late as Suga stood in front of Tsukishima.

"Now. Tell us." Suga had a chilling glare, Tsukishima flinched and groaned in frustration. With Nishinoya and Hinata on top of him and Yamaguchi locking on his legs. he was done for.

"I know who he likes. He likes-" Yamaguchi teased.

"ARgggh! Shut up, Yamaguchi!" Tsukishima shouted loudly. Hinata laughed loudly while the other second years started waking up.

"Be quiet! Our managers might hear us!" Daichi shouted. Asahi scratched his head.

"I think you were the loudest out of them..." He whispered, earning a glare from Daichi.

"Just tell us and we'll let you sleep, Tsukishima!" Suga said, kneeling down to Tsukishima.

"I don't have anyone that I like." Tsukishima furrowed his eyebrows, trying to sound believable. But Sugawara is a scary senior, he knew he was lying.

"Kageyama. the notebook." Suga quietly said. Kageyama nodded and went to grab a normal-looking notebook. Kageyama flipped through. "Now read it."

"Tsukishima only has interacted with only 5 girls multiple times," Kageyama flipped the book and held it near Tsukishima.

"Girl number 1. Messina Taiyou. She normally asks for a pencil from Tsukishima and never giving it back." Kageyama called out. Tsukishima frowned as he saw the page. It creeped him out that they even had a picture of the girl with very detailed information, her height, blood type, likes, and dislikes. Suga looked at his reaction.

"It's not her," Hinata grumbled at the revelation. the rest had already started getting back on their futons, just enjoying the drama unfolding.

"Girl number 2. Yuriyara Kenshi. He helps her carry the books to their science teacher. She seems to have a crush on him." Another picture with even more information with her. He took a quick glance, frowning hard when there was one very private information of her written down. (Use your imaginations, idk her boobs size or something?)

"Y-you're all creeps! How did you even get that information!?" Tsukishima tried to get up, but Nishinoya pulled him back down.

"Your senpais have their ways, Tsukishima-kun~," Suga said ruffling his head. Tsukishima clicked his tongue. "But anyway, next. It's not her."

"Girl number 3. Reya Itoma. She-" Tsukishima's eyes darkened. Suga knew it wasn't the girl.

"Nope. Not her." Suga stopped Kageyama. Hinata shouted excitedly. He asked how Suga knew already.

"Because Tsukishima already glared at the picture. I'm guessing it's because the girl had confessed to him in front of the hallway, in front of everyone." Suga said teasingly. Tsukishima sighed frustratingly. He couldn't move and he was stuck in this horrible conversation, even Yamaguchi wasn't helping him out, instead, he was smiling like a dork because he already knew who Tsukishima liked.

"Girl number 4. I don't think It's her but whatever. Shimizu Kiyoko. Hands him his bottle mostly all the time. And even discussed some attacks during breaks from a game." Kageyama had finally glanced at Tsukishima, who was already shaking his head. Suga grinned.

"That means... That leaves only one." Suga chuckled in a very scary way, Even Dachi flinched.

"Girl number 5. Yachi Hitoka." Tsukishima's eyes widened. His heart started racing as the picture of the girl on the notebook did things to him in so many ways. Suga grinned, seeing the evident blush.

"Oh ho! I can feel his heart starting to beat faster!" Nishinoya called out, laughing when Tsukishima tried to get out of his grasp.

"Carry on Kageyama." He said, Tsukishima biting his lip as his panicked expression grew more noticeable.

"Uh well... Tsukishima seems to be the one talking to her instead... She does help him plan the study session for me and Hinata and she even buys him strawberry cake when he is kind for a whole day to us... but-"

"Wahhh!!! Tsukishima likes Yachi-san!" Hinata shouted, smiling so brightly. Nishinoya howled and started hitting Tsukishim'a back.

"The four eyes actually have a heart.." Kageyama muttered in surprise. Everyone went crazy.

"I- I don't! S-shut up!" Tsukishima's voice cracked as he finally got out of his teammates' grasp. He covered his face with his hands and just froze. Suga laughed loudly.

"It is her!"

"No! I-It's not her!" Tsukishima fired back, finally staring back at Suga. But Suga grinned wider when Tsukishima's face was red, even his ears were red. The panicked look combined with the worried face was already screaming he does.

"Tsukishima... all the best in your life." Daichi and Asahi said, kneeling down and looking like they're praying. Tsukishima flushed and muttered excuses as he pulled himself up and run up and opened the door of the room. He was going to run away to the toilet, that's until he suddenly bumps into Yachi. A terrible timing really, he can already feel the dread he will have as he heard snickering in the room.

"T-Tsukishima-kun! I heard shouting and came to check! Is... everything alright?" Yachi asked, with such an innocent face. Tsukishima coughed and nodded, his blush forming.

"Oh ho! Yachi-san~ We were all just talking about y-" Tsukishima slapped Hinata's mouth shut. Muttering some curses.

"We were all talking about each other crushes- Right Tsukishima-kun~?" Suga teased, the rest snickering. Yachi frowned.

"You have a crush, Tsukishima-kun?" Yachi asked, Tsukishima froze. He cleared his throat as the blush on his face was clear to Yachi.

"You w-" He got slam dunked by Hinata.

"Did you listen to him, Yachi-san? He said Yo-" Hinata yelped when he felt himself getting lifted up over Tsukishima's head.

"You dumbass! You'll pay for that!" He was going to literally throw him but Yachi ran up in front of him, pushing against his chest, making him freeze in his position.

"P-please don't fight okay? Put down Hinata-kun, Ne Tsukki?" Yachi said, her worried gaze fell upon him and he gripped on Hinata a bit harder. He placed Hinata back down, much to everyone's surprise. He sighed, looking emotionally drained.

"I'm- Going to the toilet." The snickers rang through his ears as he walked further away. His blush wasn't stopping any time soon.

"Is Tsukishima-kun alright? He looked sick..." Yachi asked, Suga just snickered.

"It's nothing Yachi-san~"

...

Tsukishima didn't know this was only the calm before the storm. If he knew every practice from now on would be them pairing him up with the girl, he would've fought out of their grasp a bit stronger. If he knew that they were going to lock him up with Yachi in the storage room in the middle of winter, He would have tried to keep a straight face better.

If Tsukishima knew they'd push them right inside in a locker, he would have just fought a little bit better into keeping his crush a secret.

"T-Tsukishima-kun, why... did they push us in here?" Yachi asked, her whole body pressed against him. She definitely could feel his heart beating hard. He muttered.

"Fuck-"

Tsukishima has done screwed up.

-

More than that.

"Are you done, Tsukishima-kun? It's almost time." Yachi's voice was muffled.

"Don't rush me." Tsukishima hugged her a bit tighter. He sighs as his body relaxed. Yachi gave a pat on his back.

"Okay, but we really have to go... they're starting to question where we are," Yachi said, she overheard their teammates talking about them in a distance.

They were behind a pillar, near a secluded area. It's a normal practice for them. Tsukishima calming down and distressing by hugging Yachi before games. But lately, he's been hugging her just a bit longer than normal.

"Yachi-san..." he softly whispered in her ear, it sent shivers down her spine. She tilted her head, his hair tickling the tip of her nose. She hummed in response.

"Is... this normal for friends to do?" He asked, a hint of uncertainty in his tone. Yachi held her breath, not knowing how to approach his sudden question.

"To be honest, not to this extent, Tsukishima-kun." She finally answered. At this point, their teammates must be trying to find them, they might get caught. Tsukishima exhaled.

"I see." Tsukishima slowly let her go, he stared at her. "Then... What are we?"

Yachi took a deep breath and gathered up all the courage she had and stared at him with a determined and clear face.

"Whatever we want to be." She calmly said, her smile genuine and heart throbbing to Tsukishima.

Tsukishima held his breath as a smile escaped his lips. "Okay, then let's be this."

His hands intertwined with hers. A giddy smile plastered on their faces. He pulled her along, their teammates right in front of them. They saw their intertwined hands and their dorky smiles with dusted blushes on their cheeks.

Looks like they're more than friends now.

"Finally!" Suga shouted.

-

Childhood friends

Tsukishima met Yachi at the age of 6.

It was a normal day for him at the playground, swinging by himself. He came around a time where not many kids wanted to come out and play.

He sat alone, just letting himself swing back and forth, that's when he suddenly heard a thump and someone yelped.

"O-ouch!" There lay a girl, much smaller than him, on the ground. She had a pretty blue dress that seemed to have been dirtied. Her hair was tied up with a cute blue star hair tie but still, her light blond hair was all over the place and messy.

She quickly sat up and dusted herself. Tsukishima looked at her, worried if she was going to cry. He hates when other people cry, he doesn't know how to deal with them and it's annoying if they scream and shout. But the girl did not cry.

Instead, she got up and made her way to the play area Tsukishima was at. She plopped herself to the other swing set and started swinging. Tsukishima looked at her, dumbfounded. He noticed her scuffed knees, they weren't bleeding but it still must hurt a lot for a small child.

"Didn't that hurt?" He started, he wasn't much of a conversation starter, but something about the blonde-haired girl made him want to talk. The petit girl turned to him, confused.

"Didn't your mommy tell you to be strong?" She said ever it so natural like it was natural for kids to not cry when they're hurt. Tsukishima nodded silently.

"Mommy said that if I hurt myself and she's not there I have to be strong until she's here!" Yachi said, grinning hard. She suddenly got on top of the swing seat. Tsukishima smiled and nodded, he liked this girl. She wasn't like a crybaby or a brat.

"My name is Tsukishima Kei," Tsukishima said, following what she did and stood up. Yachi looked at him, seeing their height difference.

"I'm Yachi Hitoka! Are you an Onee-chan, Kei?" Yachi asked as she tried swinging while standing. Tsukishima shrugged.

"I'm 6." He said, swinging effortlessly while Yachi looked at him surprised.

"I'm 6 too! Let's be friends, Kei-chan!" Yachi said cheerily. Tsukishima hesitated but he hummed a yes. the girl smiled brightly and held her hands up happily. She fell down, much to Tsukishima's surprise. She got back up and dusted herself like it was nothing, but she did get a cut on her cheek. Tsukishima got off the swing and rummaged through his pocket.

"My mama always tells me to keep plasters in my pocket, just in case." Tsukishima held out a plaster with a dinosaur printed on the front, Yachi stared at him in awe. He then took off the paper and stuck it on her scratched cheek.

"There. now the pain will go away." Tsukishima muttered, patting softly on her cheek. Yachi shook her head.

"Nu-uh! Mommy says that the pain will go away with a kiss!" Yachi said, Tsukishima tilted his head.

"No! Mama said the pain will go away because of the dino-plaster!" He fired back. They both stared at each other, confused at first. But Yachi's teary eyes met with Tsukishima's own glossy eyes. Soon enough they both started crying.

"Mama said the Dino will help!" Tsukishima cried out, pointing at the Dinosaur plaster on Yachi's cheek. Yachi shook her head.

"It's kisses! Mommy said it's kisses!" Yachi shouted back at him. They both cried harder. That's when their mothers both came to pick them up.

"Kei! did you make her cry!? You shouldn't make people cry! Apologize to her." Tsukishima's mother called out, kneeling to the both of them. Yachi's mother also went to them.

"Mama! Tell Hitoka the Dinosaur plaster makes the pain go away!" Tsukishima cried out, pointing at the plaster. His mother stared at him, surprised that he was actually crying over such a small matter, he would usually be calm about it. Meanwhile, Yachi shook her head with an angry passion, which made her own mom stare at her in disbelief.

"Nu! Mommy tell Kei-chan kisses makes the pain go away!" Yachi shouted, tugging on her mother to say yes. Both the mothers look at each other guiltily.

"Kei, Hitoka-chan. The Dino plaster and kisses make the pain go away. it's a healing combo!" Tsukishima's mom reasoned with them. In an instant, their tears stopped streaming down and they both wiped their faces.

"Really?" They both said in unison, the two mothers nodded with a smile. The two 6-year-olds turned to each other.

"Dino... makes the pain go away," Yachi said softly, Tsukishima pouted and nodded. He then leaned to her and gave a peck on her cheek. The two mothers stared at the whole thing, shocked. Tsukishima's mother was going to tell him off when Yachi stood frozen.

"Kisses... also make the pain go away," Tsukishima said shyly. In an instant, Yachi's smile came back. She ran to hug him tightly and he gave it back. They started playing again.

"I'm sorry for my son kissing your daughter." Tsukishima's mom said, Yachi's mom shook her head no.

"I'm the one who told Yachi that kisses on the wound will take the pain away. I should've known that it'll influence her." They both chuckled.

"Are you new here?" Tsukishima's mom asked. The other female nodded.

"Just down the block there."

"You're quite near, we are on the opposite side. I hope they get along well." They both nod, starting to bond while their kids played on the playground.

.

"Hitoka, you have a cut on your cheek," Tsukishima said, gently running his thumb over it. Yachi flinched a bit. Tsukishima pulled out a plaster from his pocket and placed it on the cut.

"Thank you," Yachi said, grinning. Tsukishima nodded. They passed by the old playground and Yachi suddenly felt nostalgic.

"Kei, remember the first time we met?" Yachi asked, tugging him to stop. He glanced at her, then to the playground they used to always go to. He smiled.

"Yeah. we were fighting about what makes the pain go away." He recalled the distant memory. Yachi chuckled.

"You said Dino plasters make the pain go away, that's so dumb!" She teased, Tsukishima rolled his eyes.

"At least I wasn't the one who spent 4 years trying to get kisses whenever she got hurt," Tsukishima said, smirking when the short girl blushed.

"We were just kids anyway!" Yachi muttered, scurrying away. Tsukishima chuckled and pulled her back. He leaned down and kissed the plaster on her cheek.

"There. Now the pain is halfway gone. I finished my Dino plasters last week so sorry if it's only half healed." Tsukishima smiled and carried on walking. Yachi blushed hard but ran to him.

"Then kiss it again so it's fully healed! You wuss!" She got in front of him, smiling hard when he blushed.

"Th- That's not how it works!" He flicked her forehead, she stuck out her tongue.

"Yes it is! 1 dino plaster and 1 kiss heal it fully. So two kisses or two Dino's will heal it fully!" Yachi told him off, Tsukishima clicked his tongue and grumbled. Yachi gave him a determined stare which irritated him more.

"You think you're so funny, huh!? Fine then here!" He leaned back down and gave her a kiss. "Happy!?" He glared at her, not even realizing that he kissed her on the lips instead of on her cheek.

His frown loosened when Yachi's face turned red and she touched her lips. Tsukishima's face also went up in flames when he just realized what he did. He took a step back and they looked at each other, dumbfounded.

"you-" Yachi pointed at him, looking so shocked.

"I-" Tsukishima pointed at himself, feeling shocked. They looked away, their blushes evident. After a minute, they shyly looked at each other.

"Did... It at least felt better?" He asked, shyly glancing back at her. Yachi bit her lip and hesitated on what to say.

"No, m-maybe one more time?" Without a second thought. Their lips were pressed together.

-

Hit on

"So? How about it?" The male stood in front of Yachi, a blush on his face as he stuttered on his words. Yachi felt bad but she had to decline him.

"I'm sorry... I already like someone else," She said as gently as she could. The guy frowned in frustration.

"That blonde guy in the volleyball club? He isn't even the least bit nice! You have a better shot with me than him. At least give me a chance?" He shouted at him, she flinched. The guy might be right, she could actually have a relationship by now, but what's the point of that? She might be stubborn and stupid for falling hard for the blonde male, but she would rather follow it than some guy she just met a minute ago.

"Please don't act as if you've known Tsukki your whole life. I have my reasons for liking him and if you can't understand that then I don't even think a chance with you will go through." Yachi snapped at him, she turned to walk away. She sighed in relief when she was far enough. She stopped and frowned, why is she acting so selfish? She knew that would happen if she ever confessed to Tsukishima... Rejection.

So why didn't she at least give that guy a chance? It must've made him hurt, and Yachi might be having guilty thoughts now. Maybe she should have, she turned back to where the male confessed.

She squinted her eyes shut and tried her best not to overthink it further. She suddenly felt a very cold object on her cheek, she flinched. She opened her eyes to the familiar golden eyes that belonged to non-other than...

"You'll get wrinkles if you frown like that." Tsukishima stared at her, a calm expression planted on his face. She took the cold drink and sighed.

"Thank you, Tsukishima-kun," she muttered. A silence fell on them as Yachi opened the drink and chugged it down her throat. She couldn't stop glancing back at the hallway.

"Rough confession?" He finally asked. Yachi grumbled frustratingly.

"He asked for at least a chance but I rejected him." Yachi's eyebrows started to frown again. Tsukishima noticed it and ran his thumb on the bridge of her nose, which surprised her.

"So... why are you still frowning?" He leaned a bit lower to look at her better. Yachi widens her eyes, her frown turning into a more confused look.

"I guess I'm thinking that rejecting him was me being selfish." She said after a moment of hesitation. Tsukishima tilted his head, not quite understanding her.

"Selfish? For not giving a chance? But you barely know the guy right?" Yachi stared at him then back to the drink she held.

"I don't know... Maybe I had a chance with him but I was selfish with my own feelings and maybe... maybe I made a wrong move with rejecting him." Yachi muttered, she started walking again. Tsukishima frowned, her reasoning was irritating him.

"Who cares if it was wrong or not. All you should care about is your feelings. Isn't that enough? No matter how selfish it is?" He walked a bit faster than her, stopping right in front of her. Yachi's surprised eyes met with his own frustrated ones. "So what if you're being selfish, at least it's your own feelings, not anyone else's. Imagine if you gave him a chance and he is a total jerk to you? then you would be like 'dang... maybe I really should have rejected him.'"

Yachi burst into a small giggle. Tsukishima looked at her, confused. "Why are you laughing? Is it not right?"

"No- no it's just... Thank you, Tsukishima-kun." Yachi looked back at him, a sweet and genuine smile on her face. He froze.

"For what?"

"For clearing my thoughts. Gosh! For a second there I almost ran back to him to give him a chance. But thank God I didn't." Yachi sighed in relief, her usual self coming back. Tsukishima sighed and flicked her forehead.

"That's stupid. But good thing I stopped you from doing that." He muttered, Yachi rubbed her forehead but the smile she had didn't leave her lips.

"Yep. Even if he was a great guy or not... I would rather follow my feelings." Tsukishima nodded, they both started walking.

"Oh... by the way, is there any reason why you rejected him? I mean like someone you like?" Tsukishima said it so casually that it caught Yachi off guard. She choked on her own saliva. She glanced up at him, his face was turned away from her but she saw his reddened ear.

"N-not particularly... I just thought you'd be lonely when I'm not there." Yachi gave a white lie, Tsukishima stared at her with an unreadable face. It clicked, he understands now.

"Oh... So that's how it is," He said, his cold, examining eyes scanned her, he smirked and then looked away as if nothing happened. Yachi was left there, confused and quite possibly flustered. Tsukishima walked a bit faster.

"What do you mean?" She asked, trying to catch up to him. Tsukishima chuckled and shrugged.

"Like what I said." He gave a smile. Yachi still didn't understand. "Well... You'll understand soon."

"But, I want to know now! Tsukki! Tell me what you mean!?" Yachi pouted, shouting at him in frustration. Tsukishima just smirked and ignored her as they got out of their school.

Maybe one day he'll tell her that he felt the same, for now, he'll just tease her for as long as he wants.

Adrenaline

Tsukishima was never the type to lose control of himself through adrenaline. He would tune out how his heart was beating a little faster, or how he could feel his veins pumping and his muscles getting sharper. Adrenaline was never something he would ever use. He only trusts his mind and movement and what he sees at that moment.

Adrenaline is what Hinata has. What he despises the most. Recklessly blocking out of instinct, or jumping higher than usual because of adrenaline pumping his blood, it was unknown territory.

He is a mind working machine, calculating time and speed, finding the correct acceleration to how much energy he needed to run and hit. Never once will he willingly risk it because his muscles wanted to just go faster or higher.

That's when he was wrong.

There he stood in the court, out of breath and probably going to fatally collapse soon. They needed one more point. Just one. As the momentum started to get faster and more high pressured.

He knew it was coming, how his heart beat faster and faster even though there was a 30-second break, how his mind was starting to wonder instead of focusing on the game. His eyes darting around. The adrenaline was real, maybe it's hitting him the most at this instant when the other team was serving. The whistle made him flinch.

As the ball came flying towards their side of the court. He heard nothing and everything at the same time. He felt too overwhelmed and underwhelmed. His breathing fastened as his eyes darted to Daichi who received the ball. In an instant, he moved accordingly, trying his best to ignore the pumping in his veins. He ran, he wondered how high he'd have to jump as he glanced at Kageyama for a split second.

"Ah... he will hit higher than usual. That ass." Was what he thought, he might just jump a bit lower to piss on Kageyama. The noise finally tuned out and he thought he might actually get past the adrenaline. He bent his legs as low as possible, getting ready to jump up. He thought, "Not today, Adrenaline."

"Jump higher Tsukishima-kun!" He froze for a millisecond. It caught him off guard, he glanced at where the voice was. There she stood, her petit little body trying to shout louder than the crowd. She got his attention as soon as her voice hit his ears. His heart raced and adrenaline quickly pumped into his vein. He chuckled, He felt his mind just shut down as his instincts took over.

"Well, fuck." was all he said as he jumped as high as he could, he knew it was the highest jump he'd ever done, even when his mind was going everywhere. The ball was right there, as expected from the king. He slammed down the ball, getting a point. Even then, his adrenaline hit him hard as he clearly felt the effect of the ball on his hand, how loud the cheer was, and how his heart still pounded in his chest, and how his mind was all about her.

"T-Tsukishima-kun might have jumped higher than Hinata when he does a run-up! It was almost Hinata's and Kageyama's high-speed attack! Karasuno had taken the whole 2 sets, winning another round!" He heard the announcer. He turned to Kageyama who looked surprised to oblivion.

"W-Wah, Four-eyes- I thought I tossed too high- How did yo-" Hinata cut off Kageyamas voice, he looked to the screaming Hinata who wore an expression that was brighter than the sun. He glanced at his hand, not even knowing how fast and high he hit that. In a split second, everyone crowded around him.

"Tsukki!! That jump was so high!" Noya punched him repeatedly, Tanaka also doing the same. But all he could think of was that adrenaline that happened because of a certain girl. He looked at her, catching her by surprise. As soon as she knew he was looking at her, he smiled and gave a thumbs-up.

"I did as you said, Yachi-san!" He shouted at her. Surprising everyone.

"WAHHH, Yachi-san! You made him actually put in the effort!" Suga shouted everyone was talking over each other about how Tsukishima actually did it. Yachi had a bright smile on her face, it was for him. Only him.

Maybe adrenaline was okay... But only if it came from her.
