Ψ 𝐋𝐮𝐤𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬, 𝐈 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 Ψ

𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐲, everyone was celebrating Percy Jackson's epic return from his stupid quest.

I hated it.

But I had no reason to hate the kid.

He had no fault in this.

He had no idea about me and Poseidon or my own mom. I couldn't hold anything against him, so I wasn't, but tonight felt different.

I would make sure Luke and I had our dance. I would show him some little moves.

Being in the bathroom while Damien stared at me and smirked "so this is an official date."

I laughed out "not really, he said to meet in the woods."

Damien looked at me and sighed, crossing his arms as I looked at him "what's wrong?"

He rubbed the back of his neck as I fixed up my hair and he shrugged telling me "I have a bad feeling, call it your best friend's intuition. I don't think everything is going to work out."

My eyes met his filled but tried to shake off the bad mojo as I argued "well it won't. We're gonna dance, it's gonna be cute. And I'm gonna have my first boyfriend!"

Nodding his head I turned to face him while wearing a cute shirt and jeans asking, "do I look okay?"

He stared at me up and down and walked over untying my hair from a ponytail and let my hair down on my shoulders. Damien looked at me with a smile.

"Perfect." He declared and I hugged him, and he held me tightly.

I held him back and pulled away saying "alright, let's get this over with or I might throw up if I think too much."

He fastened his pace and went over to the door and opened it and I left.

Making my way to the spot Luke told me to meet him. I didn't know if I could find it. He didn't really specify where exactly to meet him, but I guess...from liking him so much to being so stupid it was like I knew where to go.

Pathetic, I know.

But as I walked closer, I heard swords hitting each other and a loud thud. I slowly walked upon Annabeth, Luke, and Percy. I saw Annabeth holding up a dagger in her hand looking at Luke and I quickly made my way to them as she turned around to see me, but I knocked her out of instinct just before she could.

She fell on the ground, and I panicked slightly as I bent down feeling instant regret as I looked up seeing Percy also knocked out and just Luke standing there.

"Why was Annabeth about to hurt you?" I asked him.

I looked over to my left seeing a weird portal as he looked back at me and I said his name again "Luke!"

He couldn't meet my eyes and I begged "tell me please...what's going on?"

"Remember when I told you? That all of this...to trust me?" He reminded me as I stood up.

He held both my hands and I saw his sword and said, "don't lie to me."

Luke looked into my eyes, and he admitted "I'm working for Kronos. To recruit."

At that moment I didn't know how to react, but maybe you are all wondering if I was mad or angry?

I wasn't...I really wasn't.

"Okay..." I breathed out and he looked at me explaining, "I was trying to gain Percy's trust but turns out his dad had a nice little heart to heart."

My grip on his hands tightened with those words.

"He what?" I stuttered for a moment, and he explained.

"Percy thinks that the Gods are trying, when both you and I know that they could care less about any of us." At that moment I did something that I never did.

I smirked with a mischievous look as I told him "Take me then."

He was confused by my words as I suggested "he may be the Son of Poseidon but I am his unclaimed daughter he will not care if you let me go with you. We already make a pretty good team."

He didn't speak, he just looked away and I grabbed his hand "what's wrong?"

Luke didn't want to look at me, I now know that the main reason why was because he couldn't say goodbye.

He didn't want to.

"If I do...your mom could be in danger. And if I don't your mom will still be in danger. You need to stay here, train, and keep your mom safe."

I was confused by his words as he explained "Kronos will look for a weakness in all his followers. I am doing this to keep you safe. You are the one person I will bend down for Hayley. And I hate that it's true but it's the truth. And I also know you love your mom too much to say no."

I shook my head "no! No, I'm going with you, God knows what Kronos could do to you!"

Grabbing my shoulders he told me "You are."

"No, I am not." I repeated as we continued to argue.

Luke had a power I knew at the time, persuasion.

He told me about it before...he could get anyone to do what he wanted, which was both good & bad...

Besides lock picking he could get anyone to do anything.

"Don't leave me here alone Luke please, I know I have everyone here but it's not fair. You are...you have your reasons-what I'm trying to say is...I like you, Luke. I really like you and I don't need any answer from you not to go." I argued with him.

He suddenly cupped the side of my face and gave me a sorrowful look.

Now looking back, he was going to use his power.

He was very persuasive; many fell for his tricks.

And I hated that I was one of them.

He pressed his lips against mine quickly and I held his shirt tightly in my hands as pulled away saying "you're going to get help. Annabeth didn't see you; Percy didn't see you. I will come back for you when the time is right,"

I shook my head to his words as I began crying "don't do this Luke, let me go with you please."

He dropped his sword holding both sides of my face "I like you too, and I know that I do because I know this will hurt me just as much as it's going to hurt you. Stay here, train, do what I'm asking you to do. I can't see you getting hurt when the time comes."

Persuasion. Persuasion was one of Luke's most prized powers. He tried to use it on Percy Jackson, however Percy was too loyal to his father.

Luke's persuasion throughout his life was always seen as bad, but this time he wasn't being selfish, he was being selfless.

Later he would find out that he loved this girl.

Poseidons Unclaimed Daughter.

It was no longer a silly little crush like he had once with Thalia, the girl with blue eyes that could make him do anything.

Now it was Hayley, the girl with dark chocolate eyes that could make him fall to his knees at will and he wouldn't change anything about it.

He would destroy the entire world if it meant for her to be okay.

Now he would be selfless, he knew how much her mother meant to her. He lost his own mother; he couldn't find it in his heart to do that to her. He wouldn't, no matter how much he wished he was that evil.

No one understood him like her, and now he's going to break her heart even if he didn't mean to. But it was the only way to keep her safe.

"I don't care. You are staying Hayley. You are staying and letting me leave. For your safety, for your moms. It doesn't matter but you are staying. I don't use my powers so often because I hate my own dad. But I'm doing so now because that's how much I care. And I'm not going to let you lose your mom like my dad did to me. I don't want you to become who I am."

A tear fell from Hayley's right eye slowly as she stared at him, she was following his orders.

Persuasion.

"I promise I will come back. Just not now. Now go before someone thinks you're also a traitor." He told her.

She slowly nodded and he held both sides of her face and kissed her, her hands met his waist as she held onto his shirt, she didn't want to let go, she didn't want him to leave. She held onto him tightly but he pulled away and looked at her.

"When I come back...you owe me a dance." He chuckled out and jumped through the portal and left Hayley there and she returned to reality and ran to get help.
