Ψ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝟔𝟎𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐫 Ψ

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐞, I looked at them and let out a sigh looking away.

"Look I get you guys are concerned, but I'm fine. I'm thinking straight, haven't you guys ever had thoughts about doing this?" They all stayed silent, and I turned around to grab my bag.

Luke appeared beside me and held my wrist "no one asked to be a half-blood. None of us Hayley. I get that you are feeling this way but even then, I know you."

I looked at him and asked him "who do I love more than anyone in this world?"

His throat closed and he swallowed "your mom..."

For a very long time I would say my mom was the person I loved more than anyone.

"Then you should understand why this is so important Luke, why I feel this way. How I'm reacting, it's not just me who was hurt for 17 years..." I gritted out.

In the future I couldn't say my mom was...

"Could you guys give us a moment?" Luke asked Chris and Clarisse, and Clarisse dragged Chris out and shut the door to the cabin.

I felt his hand hold mine and made me face my body to look at him, but I refused because I knew that even looking at him if he told me to stay...

"Don't...don't Luke." I whispered and, in the moment, he pulled me against his chest and hugged me.

I held his arms as he rubbed my back as I began tensing up and a tear fell from my eye, I held his arms as I felt his hand on my head, and he whispered.

"The Empire State Building, 600th floor. You get to Zeus; you get to Poseidon."

My tears stopped and I pulled away to look at him.

"That's your key. Go up to the front, tell them about you, easy access. But I will warn you. Going up against Zeus...it is a death wish." He warned me and I tensed up.

"It's a risk I'm willing to take, I need answers from Poseidon, and maybe if I provoke something...he will come." I explained and he just gave me a small nod.

Thinking about it I found it funny, what a big ego Zeus has for making the Empire State Building his turf.

And seriously? The 600th floor?

"I am known to...have the ability to convince people into doing what I want them to, let's just say I can be very persuasive." He pointed out and I looked at him.

He whispered in my ear "I won't persuade you to stay even if I don't trust those gods. I know you need to do this."

A smile appeared on my face as he pulled away smiling back at me, I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him as he whispered one last thing in my ear.

"Remember what I taught you." He let out.

I nodded at his words and pulled away as I smiled at him and grabbing my bag and left him in Hermes cabin.

When I reached to the front of the camp, I was about to leave until I heard running behind me and saw Damien making his way to me.

"I'm not gonna stay Damien." He frowned and nodded.

"Yeah, yeah, I get that. I didn't come here to stop you, I'm here to give you this..." he said while his hand slipped into his pocket.

He pulled out some keys and grabbed my hand, putting them inside my palm and shutting it closed.

"Get back before Chiron finds out," he warned me.

I looked up at him and he smiled "I'm your best friend before your protector."

I smiled back and hugged him as he laughed, wrapping his arms around me tightly.

Damien pulled away saying "if you see your mom even for a second tell her I said hi..."

My grin appeared and a small laugh escaped my mouth as I nodded.

"Now run and the story is you took my keys and got away and I'll take the blame" he fabricated all up. I was grateful and happy for that.

"Thank you..."

Damien nodded and I ran down the hill. I spotted his car driving up and I smirked and got in the driver's seat and put the keys into the side.

Hope he knew I didn't have my license yet.

I started up the car and pressed on the accelerator and went off.

Driving into New York was a lot because of the stupid traffic but thankfully I did make it to the Empire State building, I just had to park the car.

When I found a spot that hopefully didn't seem suspicious or illegal, I got out and hoped I drove safe enough.

My mom was teaching me, so I knew the basics, the highway was terrifying. I walked to the Empire State Building and approached the front desk seeing the man standing there looking at me.

"The tour begins over there." He spoke pointing in a certain direction.

"I am here to see Zeus and I'm not taking no for an answer because I'm his niece and I can easily make this place flood in minutes."

He looked up at me as he seemed hesitant, and I told him "Today would be the time or I'll make the place flood."

The man stared at me as I pulled out my sword from my bag with a smile on my face, he sighed in annoyance and just took me to the elevator, I saw him place a key into a hole and there was the 600th floor button as it appeared.

I walked inside the elevator and watched him walk away as the doors shut and began going up the many floors quickly as I gripped onto the railing.

When I saw the elevator finally stop and reach the 600th floor the doors opened, and I couldn't believe everything I saw. All those drawings, the depictions couldn't give you the truth of how beautiful it all was.

Olympus.

It was so full of color and life; it was enriched with beautiful architecture all around with different patterns and shapes. As an artist I was all giddy inside but remembered the real reason I was here.
