Chapter 2 - New life

Baekhyun POV

"Mr Byun, are you feeling better?" The doctor asked when he came in. I sat up and just nodded my head.

"Urm... May I ask why am I here?" I asked the doctor.

"You... You can't remember?" The person with the deep voice asked. I just shook my head.

" You got into an car accident while going to school. Luckily, you had seatbelts on and it prevented you from flying out of the car as the impact was huge." The unknown person explained.

Huh? Car... Car accident? What the hell is going on? Since when did I have a car? Oh my god, am I going crazy?

"Baekhyun-ah, gwenchana? You are not like your usual self." The guy spoke again. I blinked at him.

"Nuguseyo?" I asked. Well, I needed to know at least his name right? He has been addressing me so informally.

"Baek, you... You don't remember me?" The guy looked hurt and I shook my head. He looked like he was going to cry. Did I say something wrong? "I-I am C-chanyeol." He continued.

Chanyeol? Never heard of that name before. Who exactly is he and why am I here? I mean, he knows my name and I don't know him. Maybe he is a stalker! Wait, why would someone want to even stalk me? I am fat, ugly and my life is so depressing. Why would anyone be interested in me?

"Doctor.... Why can't... He r-recognise me?" Chanyeol asked.

"He most likely lost his memory due to the huge impact on his head." The doctor explained and Chanyeol just nodded.

Bwo?! I lost my memory?! What even? Excuse me, I still remember clearly what just happened today. (imagine Baekhyun saying it in the sassy way)

Once Chanyeol and the doctor left, I laid back down to sleep. At that moment, I saw a flash. I immediately sat up. A really beautiful girl appeared in front of me.

"W-who are y-you?" I asked as I looked at her from head to toe. She was wearing a white long dress. Don't tell me she is a ghost. Oh god, why is so many weird things happening to me?

She just chuckled. "Don't worry, I am not a ghost." My eyes widened. How.... How did she know that?!

"Of course I know!" She said again. She can read minds?! Ok, I should stop talking in my mind.

"Anyway, let me introduce myself. I am an angel." She said and flashed me a smile. I just blinked at her. I was speechless. Are you sure angels even exist?

"Yes Baekhyun, angels do exist." She answered my question. Ok, I should seriously stop talking in my brain.

"Anyways, I was saying that you are now given a new life for 100 days." She said.

I am very confused. "n-new life?" I asked unsure.

"Yes, new life. Let me explain. You are still going to be Byun Baekhyun but now, you are a rich kid. Your parents are the richest businessman in Korea and you can have anything you want. You have a happy family, nice friends. Oh! The handsome tall guy you saw, he is your best friend. Actually, I shouldn't reveal anymore. So, now you got into an car accident and lost all your memories. So, you can start your life afresh. However, at the 100th day, you have to return to that tunnel that gave you a new life. Of course, everyone you know here will forget about you. But, if you don't return to the tunnel at the 100th day, you will disappear from the real world. Your soul will still remain beside the one you fell in love with here. I believe that is more torturing right? Being right beside the one you love yet he can't see you." The angel explained everything in one shot.

I was trying to digest everything. "Wait, did you just say he? Are you saying the one I love will be a he?" I asked her in disbelief. Excuse me, I am not gay alright? And who says I will fall in love here?

"Oops! Seems like I should go now! Bye!" She said and disappeared in a flash. What the hell?

I was very confused. So I have a new life? Does this mean that I am free from all the torture? A smile unknowingly formed on my face.

Hey guys! Here's an update! I so freaking excited!!! I am going to korea tmr yayyyyy! Hahaha well, this means I won't be updating until I come back. Be patient and wait :))))
