THE TRAINING EARLIER WAS SURELY NOT HOW THEY EXPECTED IT TO TURN OUT.ย The girl who once had one of the strongest quirks in class was not training, with Aizawa's excuse. The students of class 1-A engaged in their own conversations, discussing the events that had happened not too long ago.
"What was that about?" Hagakure asked as she stood beside F/n.
"Huh?" said the girl, confused as to what she was implying.
"Training," she said, "Aizawa-sensei even excused you for not training."
Training...
"F/n will not be joining us for training today," Aizawa's deep voice filled her mind as she recalled the events, "She will be staying here with All Might and I."
"Yeah!" Mina chimed in, "He never does that!"
"M-Maybe it's because F/n-san just got back to UA," Midoriya suggested.
"U-Uh..." she stuttered, sweat forming on her forehead as she tried to come up with an excuse.
"Guys, you shouldn't pester her," Kirishima stated, much to the girl's rescue.
"Sorry..."
"I-I'm sorry, F/n-san!" Midoriya bowed.
"I-It's okay, Midoriya..." she said, sighing in relief. 'Phew! Thank you, Kirishima! You have no idea how helpful that was.'
"How about we train together?" Kaminari suggested.
"W-what?" F/n stuttered.
"Hmm... That would be a great idea! You can use this time to practise with your quirk, F/n-san!" Iida encouraged her.
"I-I-"
"Maybe that's it!" Mina spoke up, pointing at the sky, "Maybe Aizawa-sensei didn't want us to push her too much!"
"Yeah!" Uraraka supported.
"No, no! That's not it!" the girl tried to explain.
"You don't have to be embarrassed about it, F/n," Yaoyorozu smiled, "We won't make fun of you. We're your friends."
"Yeah!" Sero agreed, "We understand that you haven't been training much."
"T-That-"
"We'll help you, F/n!" the three girls, Mina, Uraraka and Hagakure squealed.
"I'M QUIRKLESS!" she shouted, before coming back to her senses and slapping her hand on her mouth. Her eyes widened and her body was shaking, not wanting to hear from her classmates as they stared at her with shocked expressions.
Silence erupts in the class 1-A lounge area with even the people that weren't in the conversation turned toward the people who were.
"F-"
The girl ran quickly towards the elevator and pressed the number five, ignoring the shouts from her classmates. Tears started to form in her eyes as she tried to control them.
"Wait-"
The elevator door shut and the silence grew louder within them. They promised. They were reassured. They told her that they would change, that they wouldn't be pressuring her like how they would in the past.
But they did it anyway. They were blinded and didn't let her speak. They weren't able to take the note that she was uncomfortable. Even Aizawa had warned them and they didn't listen to him.
Bakugou, who had been eating this whole time, dropped his chopsticks when he heard that. 'What?' he thought, 'She's quirkless? F/n's quirkless?'
The same applied to Asui and Jiro. 'She's quirkless? How?'
How.
F/n, however, stayed in her room that night, not bothering to talk to her classmates as they tried talking to her through the locked door. They were sorry and the girl knew they were.
She wasn't upset, really. She was just not ready to face the pity looks from her classmates. She did not cry because she was quirkless. She cried because she knew they pitied her and she hated it. She hated pity.
It made her feel weak. It made her feel like she hasn't reached their 'standards' yet. It made her feel annoyed because after all the training she had done, she still can't feel accepted as a student of class 1-A.
It wasn't their fault. In fact, she felt like it was hers. And the same night was what happened. The same exact night that Bakugou and Midoriya fought against each other.
Bakugou, being the one who started it, felt like he was the fault for her being quirkless. He felt like it was his fault that All Might was now weak. It was his fault.
The night happened to be quite similar to the boys in another dimension. The boys of the Karasuno school volleyball team.
'Where are you, F/n-chan?' Hinata thought as he faced the wall on his right.
Tears started to form and the boy hid his face further in his pillow. 'I will find you,' he determinedly declared, 'I will! I know I can. I will find you.'
And there was the same thought that lies under the same set of stars. They all thought the same thought. 'I will find you. We will find you.'
Under the same set of stars, well not quite. Perhaps under the same set of stars where the explosions continued to erupt, there sat a man on his wooden rocking chair as he stroked his white bread.
"Hmm..." he hummed, narrowing his eyes at the mirror in front of him.
Well, at least that was what it was once called, a mirror. His reflection, however, was nowhere to be seen and therefore, he wouldn't call it a mirror any longer.
"You will find her, eh?" he let out a humourless laugh.
"That would probably not be a good idea but at the same time, it probably would," he said, using his arms to lift himself up from the chair. He grunted as he did so, dusting off the invisible dust on her long clothes.
"We'll see then," he said.
"I guess we'll never know until we do so, hm?" the old man approached the table with all those shenanigans he had made.
"Let's see..." he muttered, scanning the things on his table, "A little bit of this... That... Then, we stir... Perfect! Now, let's put this... And... done! Now, we wait..."
The owls hooted from the tall trees and the crickets chirped. The rustling leaves of the nearby plants filled the area and the ripples of the water from the lake repeatedly acted from the wind.
There in the small, small house, lived the old man whose hair was as white as snow and whose hands were as wrinkly as a waffle fry, waited as a smile slowly grew on his face.
